Spitfire Seat Slide's and Other Parts Then we Draw The Winner For The Giveaway
Wow
Yea that's what the world is coming to! To bad Jaguar just dug there own grave! I see them never going to recover from this and will be closing there doors by the end of 2025
@ morning! probably, the rich will still buy them
Yeah, I have no idea what they are thinking….
That's just it they are not thinking!!
thats a good looking puller. it looks universal. the churchill one is stupid crazy expensive for what it is. where did you get yours?
Yes it works great and got it off Ebay $82. www.ebay.com/itm/196549204188
Looks good brother! You folks have a wonderful day my friend. Happy Thanksgiving brother.
Thanks Brother and you and your family have a Happy Thanksgiving also!!
@ you’re welcome! Will do brother
i shud do this too. wanted to ask you if the rims are lug centric and if the lug nuts are correct. the rear studs are possible to do without a hub puller, but you have to use a step drill bit to drill a hole in the backing plate for the lug nut to pass through. you can leave the hole open or use a steel plug.
Yes my wheels are hub centric and the shank on the nuts are the right length with the washer removed. Yea I need to change the rear hub bearing anyway but yes you can make a hole in the backing plate or even shorten the studs if you don't want to do that.
@@TheLostWrenchGarage 👌
Great video! Looking forward to the rear ones. Very interested to see if they'll interfere.
Going to be shooting footage starting tomorrow on the back and will have it released next weekend. Thanks for watching!
How big of a space are you heating with this? My garage (insulated) is 3 car, 780 sq. ft. - this claims to heat 1,000+ sq. ft. but I'm a bit skeptical. I initially planned to put in a 10,000 watt unit, but I like the smart capabilities of this and keep coming back to it. Just don't know if I'd be making a mistake going this "small".
My garage is just around 500 sqft and insulated but one thing I did find out that the thermostat is built into the unit and cuts it off early when that corner of the garage gets to temp so I use fan to cerulate the air and it works good. I set it to 68 and leave it threw the week when I am at work and it works fine. I also use the app to turn it up before I get home and its nice and warm when I get there. I don't know about 1000 sq ft but I bet it would be ok.
@@TheLostWrenchGarage Thanks for the info - I believe the new unit (and I just ordered it) has solved this, with an external thermostat included.
Man, I have been looking for where those knee bolsters go in my '74. No one could tell me, mine were in the boot. You showed me where and how they go. Thank you. Hope your build is going great.
Glad it helped! Yes I have been driving it all summer on weekends but as you know there is always something they need.
I find the easiest way to warm the garage is to start grinding down welds :D I had a few occasions when working on my Spitfire when I had to turn off the heater and open the door in the winter cause the heat from the grinding was really pushing the temperature up.
Yea I have noticed that also!
As a man in his 30s, I'm always amazed at how accessible smart home setups are. I can't even imagine what it must be like growing up in a time before the internet, and now having access to an Alexa. I can't wait to see the next 30 years.
Yeah, I agree
Yep I remember when the internet just came out! I was dumbfounded!! Ever since then I have been a tech geet! Yea I kind of wonder what the future hold good or bad?
Very very cool! I like the looks of that brother. You and your Mrs have a wonderful weekend my friend.
@@jeffjackson5331 And man it works great! I linked it and a fan to my Elexa and all I have to do is tell it to turn on the heater and fan when I walk into the garage.
@TheLostWrenchGarage awesome!
Pretty cool! I guess I should say “ pretty hot” 😉
@@cheftush yea been using it the last few days and it works great.
Very cool! I would to have a good heater in my garage someday. It needs a floor first. That is a neat looking lift too. That is cool that that you got your donor car too. You and your Mrs have a wonderful week brother. God Bless! Stay sage out there
Just got the heater installed. Going to be nice for the winter. The lift will have to wait a little but yes can't wait! You and family be Blessed!!
@TheLostWrenchGarage awesome! Yeah it is! Understandable on why the lift will have to wait. Oh i bet you can't wait. I would love to have a lift for my garage but it needs a dang concrete floor first lol. I have a sheet plywood under the JEEP. a sheet of plywood over on the other side and nothing under my tractor. The former homeowner never got the floor poured before he past away.
Wow! Aftermarket parts are not what they used to be. It's a shame. Then they are way to expensive as well. You and Your Mrs have a wonderful evening and a wonderful week brother. Stay safe out there my friend. God Bless
Yea dam chinezium parts!! Have a blessed night there Brother!!
@TheLostWrenchGarage yep! Will do brother, you as well
The parts issue is huge. I have contacted Moss a number of times about various issues and they always have the same answer. “It’s within spec for our requirements.” So frustrating.
I have heard that from other people too. Some of the parts are just junk now. Well they need to change there spec requirements then!
Also Miata seats take away the advantage of putting the seat all the way back as Originals do and sleeping in the car something I have enjoyed over the 50 years
Never really would want to sleep in the car but I guess if you have to you want to be comfortable!
Also going to need to order the front Rubber seal that fits in the groove order it now
The old one was still in great shape but should get a new one anyways!
I just did this October of 24 couple things put the latches on before the top because the screws are really hard to get to when the Top's on the rivet gun doesn't push against the rivet in the groove so you're going to have to find a way to compensate my top is too tight finally the best glue is one that uses the word Landau in a 1 gallon pan way too much also a spray can that has 92 on it
Yea the rivets where a challenge but we got it figured out! Never thought of the latches.
Looks great. I'm thinking of mounting it inside my beyond repair factory radio in my GT6. 😊
That would be a good idea!!
great lil video, im gonna use it!
Works great and sounds real good!!
I've got an amp that I'm sure is from the same manufacturer but branded differently. Same print and everything, called Wuzhi Audio. Mine is 2.1 audio. 2 speakers and a sub channel. 5 knobs also has bluetooth. It's absolutely terrific. paid $18. I run mine on Milwaukee power tool batteries. It's installed on a boombox, runs the original speakers + I built a little sub from a aftermarket car door speaker (4ohm.) Sounds like a portable shelf system, outside, inside, tailgating. IF you have a weak electrical system, or 6v, you can do like I do and buy the connector for your brand of power tool battery. A 12v 8A battery can easily run one of these amps for a very long time. I change mine out for a fresh charged battery after 24 hours. Low volume, but multiple shows and movies non-stop.
That is a great idea running it off of a power tool battery if you want it mobile! They still work on 6v but just don't put out the wattage that it would on 12v.
@@TheLostWrenchGarage It would depend on the model of amp. Mine I think has a 9v minimum 24v max. That's a good thing though. If you take a 12v battery pack below a certain voltage it won't recharge again. Due to protective circuitry. I recently ruined a battery with a different setup I was trying. I may replace the circuitry there with another Wuzhi amp.
Good job man! Cheers from Italy!
Hey, thanks!
That is pretty sweet brother! You folks have a wonderful week brother. You stay safe out there.
You to brother and stay warm!!
@@TheLostWrenchGarage will do brother. You stay warm as well brother. It is currently sitting at 45° as of 6:37pm
Cool project. Looks like a great solution.
I put a total of 4 speakers in and man it sounds great!
I like it. I have to do the same. Recently bought a 1975. Working on getting it ready to crank up the engine. It had been sitting inside a garage for 25 years. If has now 39k original miles and original paint with some blemishes but is good.
Sounds like a great project and in great shape! With 39K on it you shouldn't have allot of issues. My car had 50K and runs like a top after doing everything. There fun little cars and turn allot of heads!
IT'S ALIVE!!!! Awesome bud! She sounds good! You folks have a wonderful day brother. You stay safe out there and God Bless!
It is a brave man indeed who cuts, trims and carves anything using a very sharp knife on a tire subbing as a cutting board...
Yea I should have used scissors instead! Thanks for watching!!
Ok, a Petty Blue Mini. That's a new one for me.
Yea but its cool!!
Awesome group of cars. You and Betty have a wonderful evening amd a wonderful Sunday my friend. 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Yea it was a great group of cars! The little blue Mini and the blue TR250 was my favorites! You all have a wonderful weekend also Brother!
@@TheLostWrenchGarage oh yeah! Oh yeah that little blue panel mini caught my eye big time. That thing was BAD TO THE BONE(i'll keep it rated G lol). Will do brother. 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Very cool! I hope it can be saved with out to many problems. You folks have a wonderful week brother. Stay safe out there my friend.
I hope so too
@@TheLostWrenchGarage 🤞🏻🤞🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Looks pretty decent on the surface! Hope the underside isn’t too bad. The quilted dash and door cards are interesting…
Yea the body is in good shape but you will have to wait to see what I find underside! Yea the quilted dash and door cards are right out of the 70's!
I started buying Bauer tools as soon as they came out. I have the dark red circ saw, I just got the new saw because I burned the brushes out on the old one. The 6 1/2 is good for the money. Also got the drill, impact, grinder, one hand recip saw, both inflators, nail gun, glue gun, vacuum, chain saw, pole saw, blower not to mention my collection of Hercules tools. I'm all about saving money and getting good tools cheap. I don't buy Ryobi anymore. Harbor freight tools are good tools. I can afford to buy more! Lol !
Dang I guess you do have a Bauer tool collection!! Yes saving $$$$ is what its all about!
Awesome video brother. Garage is looking good. I still gave my cooler i had in the truck when i drove otr. It still works good too. I need to clean my garage. Dang spider webs everywhere. I hate spiders lol. You folks have a wonderful evening and a wonderful week brother.
Yea I have been trying to keep up on the garage and yes the dang spiders build webs everywhere. I hate walking into a wed!
@@TheLostWrenchGarage me too! I need to purge big time lol.
I have so many tools that I could fill your garage easily😂 That cb attachment sounds like a fun toy. I might have to see if it would work for my radio.
You should! Check the mic connection if it is a 5 pin I can send it to you.
I thought about snagging a few Bauer items myself since Ryobi is becoming as expensive as Makita. If I do that, I would buy battery adapters so I could use the Bauer batteries on my Ryobi tools. For the constant sales and current prices, Bauer and Hercules are looking better by the day.
I haven't had much issues with them at all!!
Very nice collection of tools. I like your plan brother on using the old military box as a wall mounted storage shelf for your power tools. You and Betty have a wonderful day and a wonderful weekend brother. God Bless
Yes I am planning on making that box a tool storage!
@@TheLostWrenchGarage cool
nice job
Thanks!!
$40 looks like a $1000.
Thanks!!
I found it best to cut both sides at once. Pin them together and sand them to the line. Great job. Trying to catch up.
Didn't even think of that!! When I start on the new project and do the door cards on it I will remember that!!
Very cool! You have a wonderful day brother. Sorry it took so long to watch this. I am behind on the videos
its all good Brother!!
@@TheLostWrenchGarage i know but still. You and your family have a wonderful day brother!
Those J Type Overdrive solenoids run ya a little extra! Is your OD switch still in the shifter knob? That's so cool. I have a Spitfire MKIII round tail and some years ago I put a T5 5 forward speed Mustang gearbox in it and that works well other than the speedometer hookup problems. Nice work and well worth the time you spent on the front end. One of the other things I did was a rear sway bar and what a difference that makes. Nice to find your channel. I have several other Vintage British cars with electric overdrive but going into 5th gear on the T5 is just so nice. I got the kit from SpitBits but it took a fair amount of work to get it to work. I rang the bell for all updates on your progress. You may get a kick out of me fitting a Weber sync 2bbl and cutting a hole in the bonnet to hold an Edelbrock air cleaner I made work. I'm fitting a Jegs cable accl system to it right now and hope to have that video posted tonight. Nice To Meet You Sir. Bobby
Nice to meet yea and I subbed to you channel! Yes the OD switch is in the shift knob. I didnt get the chance to get it in yet since I can't get to it from under the car so I will have to pull the trans cover and what a PITA that is. How did you do the rear sway bar? I will go check out the video on the Weber and the Jegs throttle cable install.
Good for another 20 years!
Now when the sway bar bushing get here I will install them and go for a ride this weekend.
Awesome video brother! You folks have a wonderful evening.
Thanks Brother! You have a blessed day!!
@@TheLostWrenchGarage you are very welcome brother

Well dang!!
Sorry i missed the live brother. My sister and her husband were at that show with my brother-n-law and his wife with their Cutlass. I have no clue where they were parked. I did share this with my sister though and told which car was yours. You try to have a wonderful week my friend.
