The only major grocery stores in my area are Fred Meyers (already owned by Kroger) and Safeway. The merger would result in a total grocery monopoly here. No way this can be allowed!!!
they'd basically control the majority of stores in any given area... that leaves like no competition... You'd have Walmart, Target, (Sprouts) depending where you are and Kroger-Albertsons for the majority of the population. Most supermarkets are owned by one of the two companies already.
they need a better distribution plan' the food is not well preserved by the time the customer sets in on the table or attempts to do so in a home prepared meal...
Eventually they are going to control what you eat whether you like it or not. Remember "You will own nothing and you will be happy." While eating those damned bugs because eating meat is unacceptable.
dollar stores are not really into selling foods... their food is more suitable for the homeless than for the average home families with over 5 family members..
Block the merge. After the merge in two years. Then comes the downsizing with retirements and layoffs. There can’t be two of each things. Like the Human Resources department. One of the departments will have to go and relocate as one in another state.
Kinda like when that one big company made tv shows and movies, and one day it purchased all the radio and theaters… which means it could push all its products straight to consumer through Radio, TV, and Movies. Same company got a certain image extended past its original copyright date… 🤷♂️
they do need to unite because as is the food 4less is selling almost expired foods, at a discount, and albertsong is at such a high price, i have not been able to shop there in years... vons you have to pay $1.So more for every product... and they too sell almost expired foods at a very high price...
Albertsons business model is to build up a chain and then sell it off. then they start over the Albertsons name is all they keep so they sell it off and the name changes to something like Luckys
the foods at this stores are not selling, they are on the selves for months, til they are not eatable and the product is sold anyways... i would spend more money on driving back to return the product, I'd rather not go to that store any more... save' me time and effort and $$$
Workers like me are warily viewing this merger announcement. The list of potential stores "rebranding" here in San Diego is now a total of 11 stores. Please keep us good workers in your thoughts, ok?
The other countryman inthis add mwants all store to close ,they don’t like us , and would rather see our food chain stores go way, the other man in the add is in the back pocket, lol that’s what is going on ,thanks BigAl California.
More orchards and produce farms. Products made with natural high quality ingredients that make everyone feel well and keep healthy! 🙏🏼❤️ no imports unless it absolutely necessary
i doubt it. Albertsons is a horrible company. The produce in the stores are horrible, and the prices are outrageous. They pay their employees less than walmart, and still overcharge in groceries. I hope they block the merger. Closing 500 stores will kill a lot of peoples jobs.

Yeah block it. That’s crazy
Merger this, merger that. How about you develop a new plan and invest in updating your ugly dark stores and products.
These mergers takes away competition. Kroger employees underpaid but CEO makes 20 million.
Kroger sucks to work for
MONOPOLY
Great, less competition, and even more increased prices, just what we need in an already expensive economy
We need and want more family owned businesses not monopolies.

Florida is about the only state I can think of that wouldn't be too affected. Kroger is a minor player in Florida.
Nope nope. They are just being greedy.
This happened to the hotel business. Two major chains gobbled up smaller hotels. Prices are basically the same and deals are hard to find.
Tax breaks being put to use instead of paying employees more.
they need a better distribution plan' the food is not well preserved by the time the customer sets in on the table or attempts to do so in a home prepared meal...
all the 99 cents stores are gone, there used to be one like at every corner, but they all banished over the years..
“It’s Joe Albertson’s supermarket, where we go out of our way just for you.”
I shop costco
Eventually they are going to control what you eat whether you like it or not.
Remember "You will own nothing and you will be happy."

Kroeger owns Ralph’s, and Ralph’s is an expensive market to shop at.
Albertsons CEO gets 45 million bonus on top of 12 million salary he makes now While us Albertsons employees get squat…….
Grow your own food, so you buy less at grocers.
dollar stores are not really into selling foods... their food is more suitable for the homeless than for the average home families with over 5 family members..
As a worker for harris teeter (Kroger) it sucks that this is happening

Cns we’ll go out of business in six months
Shop at farmers markets and butchers

Terrible merger. Aldi’s & Food Town are the best bargain stores in Houston Texas area. Greedy business owners, have inflated prices.
No.......more money for you
Never the people...
FTC will win on this, kroger has priced themselves out of the market!!!
Merger means stores are already outlets it’s just giving the sellers more options where to expand their products
they do need to unite because as is the food 4less is selling almost expired foods, at a discount, and albertsong is at such a high price, i have not been able to shop there in years... vons you have to pay $1.So more for every product... and they too sell almost expired foods at a very high price...
When Kroger took over Mariano’s in chicago area, overnight Mariano’s became a trashy store, dirty and really LAZY employees.
oh wow, after watching thatk video the CEO's released I feel so much better now, lol.
Once merged Kroger is going to sell off 564 stores to piggly wiggly stores
Aldi owns piggly wiggly now.
@@chrisaycock5965 You might be thinking of Winn-Dixie.

Look up what happen with Haggens
Kroger is full of shit Walmart will always kick their ass
I don't like it. There are some places where the two companies own all the supermarkets. A merger will eliminate competition.
When ATandT and Comcast merged , as the most expensive merger in history, nobody opposed.
i oppose
the foods at this stores are not selling, they are on the selves for months, til they are not eatable and the product is sold anyways... i would spend more money on driving back to return the product, I'd rather not go to that store any more... save' me time and effort and $$$

The United States is a corporation not a country.
So they merge..what to call them. Krosons. Yeah..Krosons..I like it.
There is only 3 billion in cash
The other countryman inthis add mwants all store to close ,they don’t like us , and would rather see our food chain stores go way, the other man in the add is in the back pocket, lol that’s what is going on ,thanks BigAl California.
I wouldn't mind if they merged.
Lies lies lies expect higher prices and lower wages
they are competing with walmart though, so they do have to unite to compete with walmart''..
Alberger's
More orchards and produce farms. Products made with natural high quality ingredients that make everyone feel well and keep healthy! 🙏🏼❤️ no imports unless it absolutely necessary
Everyone should stop shopping there. I shop Meijer
Yeah, right
Rodney makes a lot of bread
End up closing Jewel, just watch and see this is a joke who cares about people
Lies
Price fixing just like walmart. Get ready, at least biden was cracking down on this. Say what yal want.
Vivek 3000000
Albertsons is to be avoided like the plague - so freaking expensive there. I hope the prices lower - Vote Republican!

Voting republican is for the monopolization meaning higher prices. This should be completely illegal
Or just don’t shop at big places
It’s all about stater bros
