I don't remember ever having a greater anticipation for a JRE guest than Wes Huff. It did not disappoint, and I couldn't articulate what made it (especially the last hour) so satisfactory. Glen, as always, I greatly appreciate the insightful commentary that put words to my happy thoughts, primarily that a credible ambassador proclaimed truth about Christ and His Word on one of the most influential platforms in the world. Thank you and all of Speak Life for highlighting and setting an example for evangelism in 2025. I especially appreciated Wes Huff steering the conversation to Jesus towards the end. His question to Joe (what do you think about the person of Jesus) and Joe's response (well some people say...) reminded me of Jesus discussion with the disciples in Matthew 16. My prayer is that this interview would be another step in Joe (and his listeners) one day answering Jesus: "You are the Messiah, the Son of the Living God" Praise God from whom all blessing flow!
I wish more apologetics were like this channel and wes. No name calling, ridicule, personal attacks, or strawmanning, at least not deliberately. Just honest conversations about christianity and the arguments for or against it.
I would never have heard of Wes or noticed that JRE interview if you hadn't done this great commentary, Glen. Love the triple Ms! So happy to see that Wes did such an excellent job on that huge platform. Exciting times!
“Canadians are so polite”…this made me laugh, as we don’t think of ourselves as being kind or polite…it’s just who we are. Hope you visit us more often, as it was wonderful to see you and Wes discussing such important topics, including those you shared in this episode. Happy New Year, and may God Bless you, your family, and your ministry!🇨🇦❤🇬🇧
Phenomenal summary of this wild season for Wes Huff! It was great meeting you Glen at the apologetics Canada event in November. I love how you broke it down to Miracle, Man and Morality. Then again I should be surprised as I truly enjoyed your book “The Air we Breathe”, which was an amazing summary of the world too!
Wes Huff sure is breath of fresh air,,, it’s so great to have a strong brother in Christ who is a scholar and at the same time very gracious ! Great job.
I loved the end the best, when Joe Rogan painted a sort of superhuman Jesus with powers whose example we might need to follow, and I was thinking I have no idea how I would set that right in a conversation, but Wes did a slam dunk. That was beautiful. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
46:15 a great post comment which basically lays out the path which people often take- is it beautiful(attractive faith lived out)? Is it liveable? And then the path takes to looking to, is it true? Aand aspects which believers need to be mindful of as they live out the gospel. Or as I use encouraging and training people - show the gospel, shine the gospel, share the gospel. Show, shine, share Jesus. Is it beautiful? Is it liveable? Is it true? Looking forward to having you in Perth in August Glen!
Joe is an open kind man He listens without agenda He doesn’t use conversation to corner people He doesn’t enforce his beliefs He isn’t always trying to be right If only more Christians would take that approach!
321 is evangelistic - it assumes no prior knowledge of the faith and introduces Jesus. The Everyday Evangelism cohort is evangelism training - it’s explicitly for Christians, helping us all to share Jesus in everyday life.
The "Blind, Pitiless Indifference" model has left so many people feeling devoid of meaning and thirsty for truth. I think we're now starting to see the fallout.
Great comment on the qualitative differences between us and apes. Especially in evolution sure it can answer the differences in quantity as they adapt to a different environment but without any creative process how does evolution explains a qualitative difference in the kind. Great response 🙏🏻
@@JothamBate Graham Hancock is a frequent guest on Joe Rogan's show. Joe Rogan himself is very impressed by his hypothesis, at least. If I would give it a short summary, it is about a lost advanced civilization during the last ice age. They taught the ancient civilizations we know of how to build complex structures.
Wow... Wess-side!😂😂 Anyway, the Lord works in such mysterious ways. Yes He is using Wes Huff (heard he is 33)...but it's interesting how He is using Joe Rogan. It feels like a "it all led up to this moment" kind of thing
Yes! Coming home to be a slave isn’t an option. Think of the shame that would bring on a father. The son must either be embraced or banished. Slave is not an option, yet a major world religion sees all its followers as slaves of their god.
God is certainly moving these days. We see people being born again most every week. We see sick getting divine healing, spirits being tossed out and lives turned around 100% all the time. And this in a small town in a remote, mostly atheistic country at the edge of the world, Norway. Please check out the 100 year prophecy from Azusa street. It is happening! Praise be to the victorious Lamb of God!
Joe seems to be at the crossroad, on the brink of belief in Jesus the Christ. I think the most poignant moment of the interview was Wes’s explanation of what was on the gift that he gave Joe. Pilate said, “What is truth” in response to Jesus statement, “…everyone that is of the truth hears my voice.” In another place, “Who do men say that I am?…Who do you say that I am?” So Jesus asked. These questions are what Joe is wrestling with. May God grant him repentance and faith.
You should check out Dr Nathaniel Jeanson's work on tracing the human genome, he has done some amazing work, I'm glad that I heard this work and at the end of the day, if God is who he says he is, we are his and that includes are intellect.
TWO lessons for Protestants for 2025: Protestant Ministers give out fake bread and wine Eucharist. Catholic and Orthodox Priests give out authentic Jesus Christ's living flesh and blood with His Soul and Divinity Eucharist. Do you want the Eucharist or not?
And then we get to 23:55, and any intelligent person starts rolling their eyes and really doesn't want to get into yet another useless debate with yet another mediocre apologist who seemed so decent and nice, and even somewhat clever, up to this point.
So, what about what Wes got wrong about the Bible? See Alex O’Connor, within reason podcast. But yay for converting the young to faith. It’s way better than antidepressants.
Does God exist? I don't know. Nobody knows for sure. I have faith, because I believe Christianity accurately describes the human condition and the cure for the fallen state of Man. I also believe that even if God doesn't exist, many people do need to believe in a higher power for good that exists beyond us. Not because I think evil people need to be scared of hell, but because without it, egos are unchecked and the gods we replace the divine with all fall short. And without it, the powerless often lose hope. Believing in a God doesn't make you dumb, it's completely human.
I don't get it. Hall did what anyone can do given some basic study... he debunked a conspiracy theorist. Okay. The rest is noise and then standard apologetics. Why is this interesting?
Zombies in popular culture tend to be brainless and only obsessed with making more zombies. More recently they’ve been categorised as being infected with some sort of virus. I’m assuming your disbelief in zombies is a cute way of expressing your disbelief about Jesus rising from the dead, but I don’t think in the gospels that post-resurrected Jesus is acting like a zombie.

Incredibly helpful and wonderful podcast !!! So many great points to ponder!!!!
Thanks!
Can't believe I'd see the day where one of the BEST Christian Apologists is featured on JRE, Glory to God ✝🙏!!!
Or any Christian Apologist
@Autobotmatt428 true, but Wes really knows his stuff on linguistics and ancient documents, making him a great person to have on the show.

Real great way to steer and lock Joe respectfully of his thought about Jesus, our Savior ❤

Ive followed Wes for years, and really appreciate you, Wes, and Gavin Ortlund's presentation of our faith. I resonate with it SO much. Thank you!
Wes, Gavin, and Glen are the three main Christian TH-camrs I follow anymore. This is truly a golden era.
I would never have heard of Wes or noticed that JRE interview if you hadn't done this great commentary, Glen. Love the triple Ms! So happy to see that Wes did such an excellent job on that huge platform. Exciting times!
Thank you, great video (and not 3 hours long...)
Miracle, Man, Morality - and the antidote to moralism. I'll be looking out for these in 2025.
Glen, I really don't understand why you don't have one million subscribers. Thank you for all you do.
😀 We keep plugging away 🙏🙏🙏
Absolutely ❤
I felt smarter after listening to Wes Huff🤣
i felt pathetically
dumber personally lol

Bless you!

Great video, Glen. You encapsulated the issues in the interview perfectly. Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!
By far my favourite debate of this year.
Thanks for this brother
Superb! As others have commented, the discussion around miracle, man and morality was so helpful for talking about Jesus.
Absolutely superb Glen. Be encouraged brother. 🙂
Wes is a genius
Wes Huff sure is breath of fresh air,,, it’s so great to have a strong brother in Christ who is a scholar and at the same time very gracious ! Great job.
Wess is hilarious 😂😂 ❤️
Glad to have found your channel- looking for UK based channels / apologists / believers !
Welcome!
Brilliant, both Wes and Glen. Thank you ❤
Well made explanation/reactions (nice cuts), subscribed!
Thank you!

Wow, so good how you broke it down. Great content to the end, thanks!
My only issue with Glen is that his hair is so perfect that it's distracting.
😂😂😂
😂😂😂 Glen's hair is a miracle. And Glen is quite a genius, too ❤
Thank you for sharing.
There are many flavors of ice cream, I love vanilla with hard pretzels.

Thanks! Can’t wait!
Is there a link to the video about Judean names, the one from Canadian Apologists?
Here it is by itself. Will add to info box. Thanks!
Pulling the book off the shelf. Gangster.
Joe is an open kind man

Wesss or Wez... The shibboleth of the day.
PVK in the comments
Hi Paul
Converzationz with Wez
Glen, I have an important question if you read this! What is the main difference between this upcoming TGC cohort and 321 course?
321 is evangelistic - it assumes no prior knowledge of the faith and introduces Jesus. The Everyday Evangelism cohort is evangelism training - it’s explicitly for Christians, helping us all to share Jesus in everyday life.

Glen, do you think Graham Hancock is correct about his ancient civilization hypothesis?
Can you give a summary of Hancock’s hypothesis?

Joe Rogan, of all people, saying wow is my barometer for what is significant and important, because I am an intellectual
Lol. I assume this is tongue in cheek. It's my reaction also... Joe giving someone a platform to sell their idea makes me wonder how bad the idea is.

I'm so excited to see how the Lord will be glorified, it will be weird for Christianity to be accepted and cool.

After listening to what was stated around that time, I have no idea what you mean by that statement. Could you please explain?
Watch youtubers take on Wess Huff by trying to debunk him. It's a business!

Big deal. Man goes on internet and makes fool of his self and internet goes bonkers.
Sorry I still don't believe in zombies because some guys wrote a book about it. I'm weird like that.
Bless you! You really shouldn't.
