I recently replayed it and it's a lot better; really enjoyed it. Release was a bit rocky since a lot of people were expecting similar mechanics to previous Anno games.

I found out about Anno 2070 through the old fans' feedback and so far it is great. :D Countless hours have been spent and now i'm using the housing layouts to create a big city. disappointingly the "cooperative to the biggest island first. I was gonna make a Tech city there. When I offered to join next door she thought it'd be funny to claim all the surrounding land. Can't wait for airplanes. >:)
the building effective radius mechanic is what ruined 2070 for me. Why do I gotta preplan my entire city from the beginning to get any useful effciency percentages (and then unable to fix it later)? The building placement in 2205 is much better.
Amazing soundtrack. I think that Global Union Anthem is the best one of all the tracks. Once again, amazing job.
I feel so old listening to this and seeing comments are 6 years old, damn anno 1800 isn't that new either by now. Best games around all the time.

Darn it. First game I bought with season pass... and lost interest after 5 days. So so very bad comparing to perfect (for me) 2070.

Well, 1404 is best for the time period, but researchers society makes you just wonder how deep 1070 is.
