- How's it going creeps welcome back to CINEMA CREEP, in tonights video I am going to be reviewing and ranking the film LONGLEGS (2024)!!!

I feel like the entire media campaign was a farce. Almost EVERY scene shown in the trailers is carefully cut to make it seem like an extremely tense and scary moment in the film. This couldn't be less true. A perfect example is the store scene used in the trailer teasing a quick partial glimpse of Longlegs and the horrifying sound. That sound is not even in the movie, and the girl at the counter laughs him off while telling her dad the weirdo is back again. It felt like there was almost no scene where anyone was in actual danger up until the last few minutes. I was more hyped about this than anyone I know, and I am the first to say, this was average...at best!
@@richhaller7508 I couldn’t agree with you more, pretty much every good scene was in the trailer. The girl laughing off nic cage really didn’t match the film and I agree no one seemed like they were in danger from longlegs!
I didn't like that they spread the movie between the satanic and the crime thriller genres! And in the end it didn't deliver a resolution to the conflict.
Yeah It definitely seems like they were trying to tell too many stories at once here, I really hoped it would be better. There are some things to like about it but even more things that didn’t work overall.
I agree. They didn’t even explain the beginning either. No motives, no reason for much.
@@cinemacreep I was also hyped about this being set in Oregon, as I live there, but you would barely know it occurred there, if you didn't visit the Birthday Murders Website.
That website was ten times more informational than the movie itself. It barely touched on any of his past crimes or the details around them.
@@richhaller7508 yeah true, has such a moody and and dramatic atmosphere to it that they could have easily incorporated that in the story and made things a little more interesting and aesthetically pleasing.Such a missed opportunity
Just saw it, went in not knowing anything about it. One of the worst movies littered with plot holes. Almost nothing was explained and what was explained didn’t make sense. I almost liked the Nicholas Cage character until I thought of the movie White Chicks. I love Lees character and I hope that character makes her was into a good crime thriller movie. That the hell does Longlegs even mean.

Hahaha yeah I think they tried to do way too much and the prosthetics on cage were horrible! The themes of psychic ability, the occult, satanism and haunted dolls seemed like an attempt at throwing everything at the wall and seeing what stuck. And for me none of it did.

Say it ain't so Drew! I don't know how I'm going to feel about this one when I see it. It seems like it's going to be disappointing though. Nic Cage is in it so I gots to see it.

The first half of the movie was good. The second was dumb as hell. The motive was total bullshit and the whole doll thing was corny.
Nice, I am glad you agree with me. Most TH-cam reviews of this film are singing it praises.
This movie sucked. Watch it again and see how the director doesn't even know how to block shots. The actors' eyelines don't match. Also Maika Monroe didn't have any idea how to act cause you can see the director didn't direct her at all. It totally sucked.
I am so glad that someone else has the courage to speak out and say it. Everyone is acting liking this is the best film of the decade. thanks for watching!
@@cinemacreep It started off with promise and then totally derailed. I am surprised I managed to get through it. The "horror" movie of the summer is STRANGE DARLING.
@@ClintBoostwood I agree! And thats what I keep hearing about STRANGE DARLING, I have yet to see BUT I am definitely stoked for it!
