@@YONDERMOUNTAINADVENTURES I’ve bought a Eurohike Gaia 3 person tent my first tent in 35 years. I have a e-bike which I carried on a rack on my now defunct camper van . I got a larger tent so I can put my bike inside with me . We have 2 old railway tracks that are now cycle and walking trails one goes to the seaside with about 40 campsites .stay safe everyone
Good review. 👍🏻 I’ve just brought my 2nd one!..the first was how I first started out wild camping almost 2 years ago, I regretted letting it go - so last week I brought another one for just £67. I think they’ve updated it, as it now has somewhere to hang a lantern inside the inner tent. It also now has a couple of extra guy out points to brace the structural pole from wind coming from the front/rear of the tent.. I’m also now counting a full 4-zips on the main door, where there were once only 3-zips. I’m sure 3-zips is enough!? 🤷🏻♂️ And I’m sure it’s also now a darker more ‘woodland’ green colour! Looking forward to getting back out in the wild in it again, it was always my cosiest/warmest shelter!! Just finishing off doing my usual mods to it, one which will save me using 4 pegs (by doubling up with a peg on the new bracing guy and rain flap guy on each side) and by using some bungee cord on the vestibule pull-out tab. Plus another mod to cure the saggy inner with the use of a strong small neodymium magnet. (with a 6kg pull-weight) I’ve also made my own new zipper pulls out of some spare cord, really don’t like those cheap looking flimsy tabs on all the zips! Also just like my first one, I’ve had to cut 2cm off one of the pole sections, to make it much easier to seat in to the 2nd retainer! It really is a such a great versatile little (4-Season) reasonably priced tent though, really can’t be beaten if you can buy it on an offer…
Hi thanksnfor watching and taking the time to comment. You have made some great points about all the mods you have made all of which add to the usability of the shelter making it better in many ways. I think you are right re the zips and also the colour I'm sure it's darker shade and more suited to the environment. I absolutely love this shelter I have used it a lot and in some harsh conditions and it is bombproof. Pleased u managed to snag another one. ATB Simon
Bought mine the day they went on sale. Was lucky I waited as I was itching to buy the saturday before at £90! Spent 4 nights site camping in this tent, was rather comfy if a little snug even in the wind and rain. Love how small it packs down to if you pack the poles/pegs seperately in your rucksack
Fantastic!! Pleased you managed to snag the bargain !! They are now bavk up to £100. Great tent and sounds like you put it through its paces too. Yeah best to pack down as you do !!! It's just a great bit of kit !! Thanks for watching 👊

I just bought a brand new OEX Jackal II for £86! Crazy price for this tent and what a tent! It’s stolen the Vango crown for cheap yet strong kit……I cannot fault it in any way for it’s price. It outperforms more expensive tents. Well done OEX 👏
Jeez !!! £86 it's crazy isn't it !!! I think the OEX gear is decent quality at affordable prices and saw the Bobcat out perform premium branded tents in dreadful conditions..... bang for ya buck I'd say. Thaks for watching much appreciated 👍 ATB Simon
Had mine a few months but never got it out until yesterday… thought I’d try it in the garden in the snow and see how the thermarest Xlite (also new) performed. I’m 6ft and stretched out my toes and head are touching…I’m not quite sure if it’s enough to push against the outer and get wet… we shall see. But I tend to sleep on my side with legs a little tucked. The pocket on the rose had side is quite big and I’m thinking about putting a little sheet of plastic / foil windscreen frost sheet stuff in it… then with my feet at that end it would be a bit of protection. I didn’t sleep out but spent a couple of hours in it an temps apparently dropped to -6 last night. I took my arms out of the bag and rested my hand on the side of the inner (which was pretty much touching the outer on the back wall) and my fingers were numb within 20 seconds. And that’s my main concern… If you’re in contact with the outer (even through the inner) the cold is going to penetrate very easily. I’ve ordered some self adhesive tie out points to put on the back wall so there will be 3 instead of just one in the middle. That will help keep the layers separated.
Thanks for taking the time to comment and some great points made too. Iv had the Bobcat out several times now since this video and in some crazy conditions and it's performed so well. Haven't experienced and ingress or condensation nor any issues with contact from inner to outer. I think your suggested mod will work very well !!
