Hey Brittany, why was it hard being older? Did the younger cadets rely on you a lot? Or was it just frustrating with the difference in maturity? How did you deal with that?

Congratulations on graduating!!!! I truly appreciate this information! My daughter left for AFB on the 25th of March and called me today briefly from someone else's phone. She said that she didn't have much time to talk but told me that they changed the airmens' run from Thursday 23rd of May to Tuesday 21st and then I asked her how she was doing and she started crying. 😢 She said, mom I have to go now. I told her to stay encouraged and that she will get through it. I'm so worried because I can't do anything! 😩 I'm hoping she is just overwhelmed with adjusting and her emotional state will level out soon. It's so hard because I can't talk with her everyday to see how she is doing. I'm praying for her daily.

Congrats. I also joined the military(Navy) in my mid twenties & it does help a lot because of the life experiences & maturity that should come with age. Good luck on your future endeavors.

plantmxm same i chickened out when I was 18 and it’s always been in the back of my mind, I just turned 21 and am considering enlisting this time
@@sandyromero5325 Yeah i chickedn out a few times myself, but now i'm in so much college debt that its probably my best option. 21 isn't too bad, i almost joined at 21. I think once youre 23-25+ you start feeling much older because officers are going to be younger than me now.

I got called up to the "snake pit" in the chow hall in BMT. I had hemmed my pants too short. The TI demanded a 341 form. I had my tray in my hands (both hands) at the time so I set the tray down on THEIR table to reach for the 341 in my pocket. Big mistake. I got chewed out for that too. Not a good day...

Welcome back Airmen. Congratulations on graduating and Welcome to the family sister. I just reenlisted back into the US. Army and got stationed at a Joint Base.
I was in BMT from August to October of 2012. I was also in the 323rd, but the old dorms. We had to march everywhere and go around all the construction so we ended up being the farthest squadron from basically everything. And it was so hot. Never had felt sweat drip down my back until then. Lol 😂 Congratulations!

I just started my Air Force journey! I decided to go to college first so I can relate on that end. I'm starting to lose weight In preparation. Thanks for sharing your journey!
In the hotel now, leaving tomorrow morning at 400
and I feel strongly the reason you never regretted your decision was because you waited so long for it, didn't dive headlong, researched your options before going in, and you really want it. A couple years senior of the young 17 and 19 year olds help too, you gain more calm and confidence as you age I've found as well. But also some girls still think I'm 18 like them so oops 😂

Little late to the party, but dude. You are amazing for putting these videos up! I'm in the process of enlisting in the Air Force and about to take the asvab. Like you, I'm in my mid 20s, which concerned me a little. I'm more excited than nervous, or scared, about joining, now, and this video definitely calms down my moms nerves a little. Thank you!
This was really helpful, definitely went more into depth than other youtubers. It’s funny because I started talking to a recruiter as I saw your video when you were leaving for basic. I leave in 7 days now, so definitely posted this just in time.

Man, I hated being chow runner. Got smoked the first few times. It got easier but I still hated the feeling that one wrong move could get your ass chewed out by multiple MTIs'.
I'm leaving for MEPS on the 24th this has taken away so much stress

I'm going to Air Force basic training in July this year and even though I am not from the US and, therefore, my BT is going to be very different, I appreciate the videos very much. I'm also a little bit older than the girls/recruits usually are, but I've been wanting this since forever and this year I finally get to do it. @@jackypierre8337 I am not from the US so I dont know if itll help you but the process took a month including the medical examination.

I use to have the same problem. Then I thought about when you chew up food you’re swallowing something much bigger than a pill and that helped. Lol hope that helps.

LegendAhri not yet, I contacted them and they said I have to wait a year from my lasik eye surgery before I can enlist so that’ll be in June 😁 as of now I’m studying for the asvab and working on my conditioning
@@Amorfati805 oh you had a lasik surgery? is it not required cos I'm wearing glasses, I'm also working on my strength and conditioning while i'm still here in the Philippines. Good luck to you bro.

Our whole flight got 3-4 phone calls but a couple girls did earn an extra call for passing a locker inspection or something

Loved this video! My sister and I are wanting to join and we are 25. I have yet to start sign up because I have to make weight first. My sister has already been to meps but failed her weight. We are staying strong and trucking along! I can't wait, thanks for the videos!

Jessica Shoemaker me too 😭 I have to lose 15 pounds but to be safe I’m shooting for 25! I got a high as an score so it’s motivating me to hurry up and lose this weight bc I’m qualified for a lot of jobs I wish fat could just melt off 😂

I'm still deciding between the Navy and, the Airforce. My mind was made up on Navy and started the process but I have an obstacle at home that's gonna stop me tbh. I know everything about the Navy and what to expect but even tho Airforce was my first choice I really want to do the Navy. Idk what I'm gonna do but I need extra money and need to get my career started....
