In the alcove of your kitchen... where you keep your fridge... If you could somehow put floor to ceiling and wall to wall shelves there... It would allow you to put your fridge along the wall next to the sink and free up so much space along the backdoor wall. It would look so much less cluttered. I know, I know... space, money... all that. But man would it make a difference.
You saying your gown was luxurious reminded me of my granddaughter when she was around 3. She came to spend the night and we went into the bathroom where I had a couple plush throw rugs. She laid on one and said, Oh Nana your rugs are so luxurious and I love them which you know I had to get her one for her bathroom. She was so young I thought where in the world did she hear that. I would build a floor to ceiling bookcase between the washer and the back door. If you build the bookcase you can determine how much space to put between the shelves , how deep to make the shelves, and store your canned goods, etc. on them. The open shelves could then be used for small appliances. You could also put a curtain across the bookcase and your washer if you wanted to hide them.
That's a great idea! I'm gonna have to do an updated tour to show how I set it up recently. When I got my trailer, it was so infested that the original cabinets had to go. I'd love to have built in upper cabinets one day or to create shelving like you suggested! Maybe do both.
I know a lot about small spaces and lack of storage space. My house wad built in 1955 and they made the kitchen and bathroom micro small. I have discovered how to hide my storage in plain view and make it look like built ins or trick the eye into thinking something is bigger than it really is. The upside is that the house is made of concrete blocks and I never worry about hurricanes. @@CareFreeLivingChannel
I like that concept to hide storage in plain view! Where there is a will, there is a way. One thing I've been doing behind the scenes is sorting through my belongings. It's an ongoing process for me but over time, it's all working out!
@@CareFreeLivingChannel One idea is to buy upper kitchen cabinets at Habitat for Humanity, put them side by side, and build a base for them. You then put a piece of wood on top and can build shelves on top, it then looks like a built in. You could put it by the front door and you could even leave enough space in the top unit to put your TV. You use upper cabinets because they are not as deep thus the built in look.
That's a great idea, thank you! Habitat for Humanity is a great store, but haven't found what I like yet. Having cabinets will really change the look and feel of my kitchen. That will be a great project to complete one day!

I love those biscotti cookies! We have a golden retriever his name is biscuit! I always call him biscotti! lol good job on working out! Since my surgeries I had three years ago, all I can do is a simple walk as my work out and do house chores that has no lifting at all whatsoever! I love your home! Even tho is small but is lovely and cozy!
Thank you! I enjoy going for walks as my primary exercise. I bet your puppy dog is cute, little Biscotti! I love my trailer home. There are projects I want to do especially as Christmas is around the corner. I want to make this year's holiday season cozy and peaceful!

Oh yes the back door would not close with the hanging rack, but I like your idea for more storage in that area! I've got some ideas in mind. I think I'll be able to achieve it once I gather some tools and supplies!

Mr. Turtle hounded me for months to get him that umbrella and even demanded solar lights. For a little turtle brought home from the dump, he sure is high maintenance!

Sarah you need to get your friend to help you put up some shelves in your kitchen you store alot of of stuff out the you need 12 inch wide I did that and it help me out alot to just a suggestion

Um can you cook a food pantry meal? Or just reheat? Not trying to be rude but you get meat under the towel every week but we never see it. Just salads and warm up meals
Mr. Turtle has a life of luxury! And the bunnies just mocked me while I was working. They are so mischievous, if you only knew! They don't act up too much when I'm filming, but boy oh boy when I'm not looking, it turns into chaos around here! Mr. Turtle won't tell me if he has paws or claws!

I sure do need wall storage! I keep visiting Habitat to look for materials and cabinetry. We shall see how that goes! I'll find what I need eventually.

I love the OXO containers! I fill mine with dried pasta, rice, cereal and such! Looks nicer than bags and I can see what I have.

If you feel it's too difficult to get through all the cheese over a short amount of time, you can shred or grate it and freeze it. 😊

The bunnies together sure do get into a lot of trouble! Mr. Turtle is funny about his paws/claws. He likes to be left alone while he's sunbathing!
You for sure need cupboards in kitchen. Habitat for humanity is agreat place to get just about anything for your home& building supplies.😊
