    2 years later and your videos are still helping people🙃 I know how to speak and understand Arabic but I don’t know how to read or write so I decided since I’m 14 and I have a lot of free time I should learn how to write and read I’m gonna study everything you taught me before I take the exam in the next video

    How do you know what sound to give the letter particularly the starting letter? Like in the Quran it’s easy because of shadda, kasra, fatha etc but in normal Arabic writing those are not there.

    • @Arabic101
      @Arabic101  4 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      Welcome to the channel brother,
      A very good question indeed. Typically ANY Arabic text should contain the signs of short vowels. However, because Arabs use certain words so often, these signs started to be dropped from texts aimed at native Arabs. Take newspapers as an example. They are written in Fus'ha Arabic, but there you won't find short vowels in its articles because it is mainly aimed at Arabs. It's like saying (( Thnk y )) and you'll still get that I said ((Thank you)) even without using vowels at all .. because you've seen it and heard it so often.
      In the first couple of lessons that you have just followed, I didn't use any vowels because I don't introduced the concept until a later video: th-cam.com/video/T6uDEwYdbv4/w-d-xo.html & th-cam.com/video/iIM1q6_3U8o/w-d-xo.html which I highly recommend that you follow them. And from these lessons forward you see me always use short vowels where possible to help the new learners learn the language properly.
      Does this answer your question? If you have other questions or observations please let me know, I am here to help.

    Assalam alaikum sir, thanks for making this video.
    Sir, I'm honestly confused with sound of ح and ھ. What's the difference? I always thought it doesn't really matter getting the right sound because they're alike.

    • @Arabic101
      @Arabic101  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Wa alikom asslam brother/ sister,
      Alhamdulilah .. You are most welcome ..
      Yes, of course it does make a difference .. if you are following the lessons in order, I would not worry about pronuciation just yet and focus on reading and writing.
      Afterwards you can start the pronunciation course (and in it I explain the problem you mentioned). You'll find it through this link: th-cam.com/play/PL6TlMIZ5ylgqT350Oke2-5EtWDwm_79T2.html
      But if you want the answer to your question directly, you'll find it in these two lessons: th-cam.com/video/Xgzu8DMNNCQ/w-d-xo.html & th-cam.com/video/Tje42Lts_XA/w-d-xo.html

      @Arabic101  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi here,
      Now that you reached Lesson 4 .. you have now completed the first part discussing consonants.
      Your next step should be the series "Vowel system" in Arabic, which then explains everything you need to know about short and long vowels.

  • @rakibunnabi3338

    Brother, can you tell me the basic difference of pronunciation of these two letters ح & ہ?

    • @Arabic101
      @Arabic101  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Of course, brother ..
      I recommend however, that you work on your Arabic literacy first then on your pronunciation. If you already did that here is what you should do:
      Step 1: Check this tutorial: th-cam.com/video/Xgzu8DMNNCQ/w-d-xo.html
      Step 2: Watch this video: th-cam.com/video/Tje42Lts_XA/w-d-xo.html
      Step 3: A lot of practice
      Step 4: Ask questions if you are still not sure about something
      Good luck brother.
