I love this redemption story about Diesel and how his driver and Bear help him. Ever Since Christopher Awdry's Thomas and the Evil Diesel, I have been wanting another Diesel redemption arc. Well done
I don’t usually watch the Thomas Trainz videos on TH-cam but as soon as this video came up in my recommendations and I read the title, I clicked on it and man, this was absolutely amazing!!!!! I got goosebumps throughout this whole thing, from James, Diesel and Gordon’s argument to Bear ripping the engines a new one, to Diesel’s emotional heartfelt apology, this was awesome!!!!
Holy crap. It’s 12:12 in the morning, and I’m exhausted, but I am so glad I gave this video a chance. It’s criminal that this isn’t as popular as it should be. This is amazing. The story, emotional points, and diesel having a very real fear most of us have in this world. This video had me on tears at one point. I’m actually speechless. Keep up the amazing work!
I have to say that this was really well done. Diesel finally changing his ways, even if the others, including The Fat Controller, and especially James (and Duck, of course, for that matter) was so perfectly executed. Even after everything he put the engines through and caused them huge grief, he still was able to completely change his ways and be forgiven by everybody. I say congratulations to everyone for everything on that matter. Plus, the Driver having an adopted baby was rather interesting. Wonder what he would have called him after offically adopting him. side note: The Dumbo music done in Thomas style was a bit unecessary and stupid, but the other music was of course good.
Not going to lie, the scene in diesel's nightmare with the dead baby actually made me tear up knowing this actually happens and it honestly gave me nightmares for a few days. I can see easily why diesel changed.
I've seen many deseil redemption stories made by many people, but this has to be the most heart felt one I've seen. Hope to see this adpated by others, remade, or whatever with it cause it's amazing work on your part.
I have re-watched this multiple times now. And on each watch this story ark is nothing short of astonishing. To give a character such as Diesel so much hidden depth through his own fears and anxities was brilliant. Challenging everything he has ever been known for, it's so real and mature, like real life even if you do change, not everyone will forgive and forget. Pain is a journey, and a hard one of that. You convey that journey perfectly. This is truly one of the best video's ive seen from the fandom for a long time now, and i hope you continue down this path, it's to me truly shows that thomas can be more than just a kids show. Keep it up !
That honestly does sound interesting. However, I personally don’t want to rinse and repeat. If anybody here would like to take Logan’s idea into consideration and put their own spin on it: I’d go for it.
title: a lazy diesels redemption so, Dennis was being a lazy git leaving Rosie and diesel to the yards and the fat controller was pissed for the fact that Dennis wasn't taking his situation seriously, so he deconditioned him to a old sidings and ordered his brother Norman and Norman tor into Dennis for his terrible was and that they were the last two of their class leaving Dennis scared. but Dennis over time was moved around to make room for other trains and soon was in a shed in the very back of the yards and had vine growing all over it. but when Norman broke down the fat controller had parts taken off of him and soon the engine in him was gone only the cab and ventilation where his face was on his chasse. but after a major accident caused Rosie, Norman and diesel to be severely damaged sir Topham hat gave Dennis another chance, but it was his final chance. he got a new engine that ran better and missing parts replaced and with his new engine he felt more energetic and he worked his hardest and he kept remembering the words in his head we're the last of us, your final chance, etc. so he didn't stop working until every train was ready and he only slept maybe two hours at most and he was in pain from over working himself but he kept it hidden and kept working. until sir Topham hat saw him wincing in pain while moving the trains but wound witness the most horrific scream and explosion as Dennis's engine went up in smoke and his screams were heard as well and as the fire crews put him out Dennis saw sir Topham hat looking at him in disappointment and after he left he begging his driver and the workman to help save him from scrap by at least attempt to fix him. since the work man knew how hard he was working, and he didn't deserve scrapping the did once night fell they had a crane brought in with a pump cart and they worked at him all night, but no one noticed the fat controller watching nearby as the got the bad engine out and the somehow managed to fix it but it wasn't a permeant fix for him and once dawn broke the driver showed up and the workman asked him to test the engine and see if it works. after three minutes of turning and using jumpstart spray his engine coughed thick black smoke and the came to life and as he moved down the line and did the safety tests before the trains came in and he was able to do his jobs. but that after noon he had to take a train to vicars' town and he did good but when he got back, he saw Rosie, diesel and Norman and they were doing some shunting and he decided to sleep outside as he wasn't ready to face them just yet, so he went to the station siding and fell asleep. the next few days he avoided them, and he took trains as he kept pushing himself hiding it the best, he could but everyone knew that he was in extreme pain and trying to avoid not working because he thought he would get scrapped for his engine was move out of spare parts currently and that scared him a lot. he was on his way back from taking a train to the docks on Edwards branch line when he saw the yards were on fire and Norman and Rosie were trapped in the sheds. Dennis revved his engine and rushed in buffering them up together and he redlined his engine to the max causing it to spew fire as he worked and after he got them clear his brakes failed and his driver said his goodbye as he rolled down the line and after traveling miles down the track the fire went out, but he rolled down a long-forgotten siding and didn't stop until he hit a rusty old pair of buffers. his engine was finally totaled, and he began to cry as the pain and the emotions he felt were too much for him as he felt like he was a failure as a brother, engine, and a friend and after three days of hearing the words you should have done better, you're a disgrace as an engine, you failed me he was about ready to let go and die until he heard some hiker nearby and he took his chance and called out for help begging and pleading for them to come and save him from being abandoned forever. they came running and saw him and his destroyed engine bay as the called the fat controller and told them where they found Dennis and he sent the search and recues crew to save him and he arrived with them as he saw the eye bags under his eyes he walked up to Dennis as Dennis quietly cried fearing what he would say but what he said was something that would silence the voice in his head forever. he said you've done well Dennis you can sleep now you have truly redeemed yourself and i am proud of you for your hard work and the rescue you did. i saw everything from the security cameras and i know about the pain and the voices you've been hearing and the Rosie, Norman, and diesel knew as well and they have been worried sick about you and they want you to come back so you can be useful again so off to the diesel works and once your all fixed the five of us are going to have a long talk about telling someone when you're in pain and need a break for maintenance. after he was loaded on a flat bed and taken to the works all the diesels saw how bad of a state he was in, and they all welcomed him with cheers and love as they knew how hard he worked and after about a year and a half later he rolled out with a new engine from America and was welcomed back to the yards and the therapy sessions began. FOR ANYONE WHO WISHES TO CREATE THIS STORY HAVE AT IT!
In my opinion, Diesel doesn't deserve any redemption. What should have happened instead was he would try to upset Oliver by making his life miserable by making Oliver's trains late on purpose whilst Oliver takes the blame, turning other engines against him, and trying to get him scrapped by The Fat Controller. He does this in a very sly manner so that he doesn't get noticed by any parties except Oliver, Duck, Emily, and the Scottish Twins. Eventually, Diesel would get found out through some sort of plan/means made up by those engines, publically shammed by Oliver and the other engines, and sent away in disgrace. The ending would be Diesel getting ready to be cut up by the cutter's torch resulting in him being rightfully scrapped in the end.

And Fergus too.

This is canon to the TV series and nobody can convince me otherwise.
If i found a baby in a box my first thought is to be absolutely terrified. Then maybe take it to the police for help or something
Agreed, the driver should have gone into the station and called for the police.
14:57 Nice to hear a cheerier remix of Diesel's theme.
“We’ve been trying to have a baby” 💀
I can imagine how many times they had to do this 😂😂😂
At 36:26 this part I feel so so so sorry for diesel 😢😢😢😢 it's actually starting to make me cry 😭😭😭😭

Why does Diesel know about uh… “it”? That feels so wrong, like what has his driver been talking about? 💀
More people should watch this video it's worth it
19:52 This included Henry's Heavy Goods, Bear's Limited, and Gordon's Express.
Fuck dude, thats some convicing voice acting, got me choked up during his apology
how? how does this only got less than 1k likes, i mean how, its been a year too, its just that good

Diesel and the baby aww that's cute
James is being way to quick to judge he's letting his discrimination get the better of him
I wished this would’ve been done in the tv series as diesel wasn’t sent away that time.
That ending felt so satisfying
This was absolutely amazing to watch!
People like to hate boner Thomas for being cheey yet they allow James and Gordon to be arrogant.
Good job - those weren't Cox's pippens!
15:55 James with the Express on Platform 1, and Bear with the Limited on Platform 3.
Nice!
