When you think about these ghost stories, most of them are not malevolent. The only ones who were malevolent were Old Dean Morris, the Soldier at Ballahoo Manor, and Mr. Clarke (Dulcie's old driver). Everyone else were either stuck in a loop of some sort or unable to rest in peace.
The original has always been a favourite of mine. Really enjoyed this remastered version. The concept of a ghost who just wants to prove their usefulness even after death is something very unique. Most ghost stories have those who either just haunt places or are restless.
I remembered watching the old version of the banker when I was a kid, and now seeing the remastered version many years later at the age of 18 really brings me back memories watching the old and new videos of the NRS videos, especially the ghost stories from NRS. Marvelous work on the remastered version of the banker dude. 👍
Without a doubt, my personal favourite from the original set of ghost stories. How it’s set up very cleverly with Edwards retirement before revealing the spectre to be a victim of his own eagerness and desire to help creates one of the most uniquely heartfelt concepts I’ve ever seen for a Fandom ghost story. Giving it a HD coat of paint as well as better pacing with the visuals and narration is a delight! Great job!
DCG12B's stories still hold up as always. Smudger is also a very solid narrator I like his work here. And the production value is impressive yet again.
I love how smooth and refined the remake is. The only little gripe was Pip' s dialogue when Emma had broken down and she's saying her thoughts on the ghost, the narrator seemed to have jumbled the words. Aside from that, I absolutely love this remake as it improves upon the original, which was also excellent. Sir Topham's words at the end still cracks me up!
Yes!!! I was hoping for a remaster of this story one day. The Banker is one of the best Sudrian Railway Ghosts episodes, i couldn't sleep for weeks when i first saw it as a kid. Great work!. 👻 Let us all take a moment of silence for Conrad, the friendly ghost banker.... may his spirit live on in kindness. 🖤😌
In a way, it's a Reverse situation of Timothy: while Timothy persists for revenge, this new engine persistent continue helping people as a local hero that continue his duty even after death. It's quite wholesome even after a tragedy.😢
Glad to see this story remastered. This was always my favorite of your original batch of ghost stories. It shows how much you've improved as a creator.
This was a very spooky story. I could feel Series 5 vibes from this, and the ghost engine giving all the engines the frights was great. I loved the explanation at the end.
Good story, with very nice graphics - and I do like the pre-grouping era engines appearing. (Conrad's an Adams radial tank, for those who don't know, and it was nice to see an Immingham make a brief appearance. Years ago the Railway \Magazine published a tale you might like - a Welsh Valleys line had been built through a hill, formerly the lair of a local earl of the 'in league with the devil' variety. Every so often the line seemed to switch back in time to pre-grouping days at night, with intensive coal train workings, and all the block tokens ended up at the top end of the line.
I only rewatched the original the other day! I really like this remaster and I think it does do a better job at visualizing the story, but the original still has some charm to it. Conrad's presence returning after Gordon's hill was left without a banker was a really good idea, can't wait to see what remaster you have in mind next!
I remember watching the original back when it first came out and feeling CHILLED to boiler after watching it. So I'm glad to not only see it get a remake years later, but also somehow still (abeit not that much) manage to leave me feeling unsettled like before :D
Oh my lord, I never thought i'd see the day this got remastered, and i am so glad it did, this & Gordon and the Ghost are two of my personal favourites
Honestly, I always wondered who was the banker before Edward so this was shocking well told. I haven't seen the original, but as a life long fan, I honestly can say this is one of my absolute new favorite stories of fan fiction. Thank you so much 😊
10:22 I like how there are Thomas and Friends VHS tapes on the shelf behind The Fat Controller. (Nice nod to the fact that the show exists as media in the railway series.)
You know, I'm surprised no one has done a story about it. My idea would be a story about AEG, but not in the way you think. While most of the engines dislike it or hate it, Thomas on the other hand, writes a letter (With help from his driver) to his counterpart saying "You might not be me, but I know you have the soul of me." A sort of passing of the torch so to speak. While I have to admit how the series has been commercialized by Mattel, I still have to at least tip the hat to those who actually make it.
The first time we see the small railway in the original books is when Duck needs to see if "very wee engines" are magic or not. Even though they're giving them ballast to get rid of the "dirty sidings". I don't know about the TV series necessarily but the RWS characters would 100 percent act like this. They're very superstitious.
I wonder if (Adam) Conrad also felt guilty for (accidentally) killing those passengers and is trying desperately to make up for that by continuing to help Banker other engines?
This is really good. I watched the original back in the day and thinks have come a long way now. This story really fits well with the Railway series and feel like a story Audrey himself would create. Great Job and looking forward to more stories to come. Happy (late) hallowee. Yeah.
I loved this story, the idea of conrad continues to help engines even after what happened. What's the name of this song at 11:50? It sounds almost sad, like all is lost but yet, theirs hope
I don’t know if he saw it, what with the crash happening behind him, but I’d say feeling responsible for the death of a large portion of his passengers, along with another engine, would be a serious wake up call for him!
Better add this to my playlist of videos before it gets marked for kids Great remaster though just in time for October too. I will say ,personally the beginning of the original feels like it flowed better (Edwards crash ) just feel the extra time pausing on certain lines helped it flow better. Still love both the same , gonna add both to my list at some point
🚆 🚉 🚄 🚋 🚈 🚅 As a fellow Thomas the Tank Engine Fan ,who saw the series in childhood and still watches TH-camr's adaptations; I'm happy to see the return of new stories like this that keep getting creative with their story content or there are unique variations of the legends like the Ghost Engine. 12:54 Sixteen?! Glad to see him here.
Said it on the original, and I'll say it here: it's nice to see a ghost that isn't malevolent or seeking revenge for something. Well done indeed.
It lovely when old videos like this are remastered.
Wait there was an old version?
@@A_Calm_K2yes, released in 2012 or 2013 i think
@@jacksexton7321 ah
Do you think we will get a remake of Thomas and hamish
@@jacksexton7321So the original would have been filmed on Trainz 2012?
My absolutely favourite Ghost Story of yours. Nothing malicious, no evil spirit, just a Good Spirit wanting to help during a time of need.
The original has always been a favourite of mine. Really enjoyed this remastered version. The concept of a ghost who just wants to prove their usefulness even after death is something very unique. Most ghost stories have those who either just haunt places or are restless.
All engines wish to be useful and their will to be useful can outlast even their mortal (?) forms.
Great story, I love the idea of ghost sticking around to prove their worth even after death.

People do fumble their words in real life, so it's actually quite accurate

There was someone who adapted Timothy's crash into a break failure and he was Thomas' older brother. I don't remember the name of the video though.
@@parker-boy98Yeah, I kinda prefer that one

finally, a remaster of something i've been waiting for

Love how pip and emma only get two coaches. That would definitely be accurate to the model series as well lol

Absolutely love it!

I really like the voice acting, and the soundtrack.
Oh my lord, I never thought i'd see the day this got remastered, and i am so glad it did, this & Gordon and the Ghost are two of my personal favourites
A ghost engine that still wants to be useful. Talk about dedication!
Better timing, more angles, not to mention greater models with multiple expressions. Keep up the remakes, dude! 👍

Old Videos Comes Back To Life.

The original video traumatised me as a child, wow its been so long!

Fantastic remaster!

It was the Adam model with the peter model’s face
I love the remastered version really lovely :)

Wow, thank you for this amazing video
I never thought I’d hear Myuu music in a Thomas production.
i feel old, remembering watching the original when it was still relatively new
I would love to see “Ghosts of War” remastered! Great episode! Always one of my favorites
Bro what is that consist with Pip and Emma?? 2 coaches on a HST??? I wouldn’t even mind at least 4 but 2???
Before YouCrap removes the comments, its nice to finally see a remaster/remake of this story. Its among my favourite 😁

1:06 I like this music because it has tension. Can you tell me the name of this music?
we need a sequel to this where the engines or at least one of them say thankyou to conrade
Music at 5:22
I like this story alot but if i would rewrite this i would adjust some things but this is still pretty great as always
Love these stories 😊
That was amazing.
It sounds like Conrad only shows up when he's needed. Edward meant that Conrad wasn't needed and Pip and Emma normally didn't need a banker at all.
I loved the story, you can see the effort that was put into it.
and I still don't know what the name of this song is 11:06
If coppa puts this under made for kids, I'll start a war.

Interesting headcanon
Can we have a remake of Gordon and the ghost engine
I'm surprised Edward's boiler didn't burst
0:01 Which diesel 10 theme is this
Another good remastered remake next would be bear and old dean morris that would awesome to see
Remaster is real!
can we get much higher
I love these scary videos
Seems like Edward and sir topam hat are the only ones that know of this LMS engines ghost
Great work
Because 87546 was the engine that was pulling the train Conrad fatally crashed into, did the trauma of seeing another engine die put him into sense?

Yes!!!! Finally!!!
I like the old one especially with the spooky music when they were on there midnight run what song is that anyway from the old one
RIP Conrad
8:41, why there a diesel in the bushes?
What music plays during the ghost chase?
