What a life saver. I just bought a ton of Gai lan on sale! A whole pound for like 1$!!!
No need to flex on the rest of us
@@skyeric875 lol!
I stir fry gai lan quite different. I stir fry the stems first, then once it starts turning into a bright green, then I add the leaves, garlic and salt. I don't bother boiling it first and I don't bother with cornstarch. Simple and delicious!
honestly its really good just boiled in oil and salt and then throwing some oyster sauce on. I think I learned that from your original video. So easy, delicious and healthy
Me too. If the water is salty enough, I just add sesame oil on top, not even oyster sauce. What the vid doesn’t say is that when water hits hot oil, oil splatters all over the kitchen & your hands.
Indonesia too have that kind of food but we called them "cah kailan" cah means stir fry...kailan is...a vegetable called kailan it spell ka-i lan
Glad to see you cook on a real professional gas oven. I am sure you definitely will enjoy the real wok-hei.
Thank you! Love these video shorts 😍

Hi,
I love this vegetable but can you ask your dad to give us a tip to recognize them because here in Belgium even in Chinese supermarket they often mixed up the chinese brocoli with another green vegetable.

In malaysia Kailan Ikan Masin

Could you demonstrate to make baozi?
I don't mind The short vid, just film it the same , but not vertical video lol
All youtube shorts are vertical
@@WanderTheNomad didn't know it was a short. It appears on desktop as a normal video but vertical
@@loadostuff You can tell by the vertical thumbnail. And if you're looking at it from your subscription feed or on Made With Lau's channel, you can see a red squiggly symbol on the bottom right of the thumbnail that indicates it's a TH-cam Short.
Also there's a #Shorts in the title, though not all shorts have that.
@@WanderTheNomad congrats you know more about TH-cam thumbnails.
@@loadostuff I just look at them
So if you were to use Oyster sauce, would just replace the soy sauce for it?
No. You replace the salt + sugar + soy sauce + cornstarch.
Metal utensil in nonstick ☠️
No oyster sauce on hand? 😱 🤫
No oyster sauce, is this an Asian house? Also add muscles in broth or chopped.
