A reminder that the ocean is beautiful and yet terrifying. A massive shout out to all lifeguards and those who help them in these critical situations. (Please note - some of these situations depict CPR methods that are over 10 years old, check in with your local first aid training centre on the latest resuscitation methods).
Thanks so much! These situations are stressful and you all do a good job of responding promptly. I know some people critique the methods shown here, but the fact is response time is one of the if not the most important factor in someone's survival. It's also very difficult in emergency situations to suddenly let someone who randomly announces themselves take over when you're already engaged in CPR - your entire focus is on the patient, there's chaos going on around you, and you just don't have much time to think, which is why it's often best if people stick to a designated role. Ya'll have the world watching you, so you've got some harsh critics. But the fact is, if I was drowning and needed to be resuscitated, I'd be forever grateful to anyone who tried their hardest to help me survive. You guys do a wonderful job and there is no doubt much fewer lives are lost because of your hard work.
honestly, no one gives lifeguards the amount of respect they need. in my school, it's required to take cpr, to know the recovery position, and learn how to use a defibrillator properly. seeing all of this in action is just mindblowing
A few years ago I was at the beach and a man accidentally elbowed me in the head while we were in the water and knocked me out. No one realized what had happened until I had already drowned. Fortunately there were life guards there who saved me with cpr and a defibrillator. I remember a pretty big crowd circled around me when I came to. I can only speak for myself, of course, but I wasn't embarrassed at the time even though my breasts were out and looking back on it I don't feel embarrassed either. Just happy someone was there to help me. I'm only writing this because I see a lot of the comments are from people worried about the women in the video's modesty and I want to reassure people that when you have a death or near death experience concerns of modesty and embarrassment tend to go out the window.
I don't have the strength to do a job like this. Physically or mentally. These rescuers are such special people and very highly needed and appreciated.
Fuck mate, the asian girl that literally died and came back made me cry. At first I was like "Everyone can see her naked" but in a life or death situation, that's the least of anyones concern. All of you guys are real life angels, god bless you all
@@Duubuu how? by posting an un-blurred version of the video or pics on the internet? honestly, i highly doubt any aspect of her life could be ruined by a video or picture some random stranger took of her while she was literally dying…she didn’t do anything wrong, the person who took the pics/vids did and anyone watching the video or seeing the pic would be able to recognize that easily. Of course, I was thinking the same in how they can make sure none of the bystanders do so but there’s probably no way to completely prevent that situation from occurring…although I’m pretty sure it could make a pretty nice lawsuit for the victim so if anything, I could see it ruining the life of the person who actually took and then posted the pics/vids without her consent, but not the girl herself.
Everybody talking about the topless woman, but I think we should pay enormous respect to these incredible men, doing absolutely everything to save lives
@@shilatyad8493 it's not the concern when it's her life, and it was her life. Would you rather be clothed or die. That is the situation. If you really think her privacy is more important than her life you need to grow up.
@@lainiehyde3579 yes. I’ve actually never seen lifeguards like this in America. Not saying our lifeguards aren’t good, just saying these guys seem to be more experienced and trained for many different situations
I know right I mean they can be a little bit hard sometimes but at the end the ppl are always saved I mean even the dead man for five minutes was saved
You guys are doing excellent work, i lost my brother because he was drunk and drowned in sea and here in india there is no lifeguard facility, everytime i see your videos i get very emotional and hope that what happened to my brother never happen with anyone anywhere. Thank you very much guys.
The anesthesiologist really helped telling them to slow down and quit talking over each other and take control of the situation was almost life saving. And he helped bag. Props to him
"We're happy we've done this a lot of times we know what we're doing" ... yes but this guy has a degree in managing unconscious, not breathing casualties... he knows MORE what he's doing so use him ffs...
@@yuhboi4508 they’re completely different however their experience and his(anesthesias) in cpr are going to be far different. They are lifeguards who have more knowledge and experience under their belt in terms of cpr of a drowning victim making them right to deny his help. Especially when they already have a four man team and paramedics are standby. There is a big contrast between those in the hospital setting and those in the prehospital setting.
@@yuhboi4508 there is also no way to prove his is a medical professional nor is there way to trust his skill either. It is based to leave it to the EMRS and the paramedics who have lots of training in this cpr skill.
@@meyer1519 Yes, I watched the video which she has given permission for. I am not stood there with my children. I have seen people fall ill and always asked paramedics need an extra pair of hands before stepping away. Lifeguards should not have to do crowd control.
This video has like 8,5 million views. 8,5 million people starring at them including you and me. The only difference between the crowd and you are, you are watching it behind the screen.
The girl.had me crying. And then the rest scared me too. Understand the dangers of the water. And know your skill level and operate one skill level down. Good job lifeguards. Phenomenal rescues
In korea china and japan people from before 1990's didn’t learn how to swim that well. My partner to my surprise is a horrible swimmer and not strong at al in the water . He didnt really learned it with diplomas and stuff at the time. Im like half a mermaid 🧜♀️ and surf all the time and sailing etc plus I’m from the Netherlands so swimming is in our blood ( no choice we are below sealevel and have to be prepaired for anything. We even learn to swim in sea with this heavy suits on as a 10 year okd it was a nightmare but it made us very strong in the water. I have send my partner to some swimming classes so he can understand the sea better. Reading the water is very important and never panic in the water.
i like comments like this, i dont like comments where ppl are like "StOp CaRiNg abOuT oThEr HuMaNs AnD Go AwAy!" refering to the woman whose bra had to be taken off, like even if it was a guy the corwd would still come cause oh idk maybe people dont want to walk past someone dying and want to stick around to make sure they are ok
Dear Diary, it's 2021, covid 2.0, lockdown is still in effect, it's 1am in the morning, I'm on TH-cam and now watching amazing Australia men save the lives of both men and women on a beach. I am now an addict.
you're describing my life right now PERFECTLY. i should be sleeping i have an early morning class but i got addicted to these videos and now i can't stop watching them
dude when the guy said but “He’s my friend” made my heartbreak. I’m so glad he’s okay now 🤍I teared up when he said and and reminded me of the times i’ve been at the beach w my friends. this videos make me more aware and to always be aware of my surroundings.
I was a lifeguard for four years in New Jersey. I saved a man from drowning but got fired because I left the tower I unmanned to rescue him from the water. Three other guards quit because I was fired for that Edit: Everyone saying it’s not me, it happened to me but my story was not covered on any TH-cam or news channel. I’m sorry for any confusion or making people believe I’m making up bullshit
Nothing will ever piss me off more than watching these rubber necking tourists stand around watching, obviously doing nothing to help. I grew up on a dangerous bend in the road and so we always immediately knew the sound of a bad accident and ran out to help/call for help. Some people would pull over just to stand 10 feet away and take photos. I lost my temper bad once at a fat lady just standing here gawking at a poor old man who crashed his bike and had a compound fracture. If you can’t help, LEAVE. Especially someone who’s nearly drowned and is laying there half naked.
I was stabbed 3 times and robbed when I was 14. I managed to run to a nearby house. It was around 11:30 at night. Next thing I knew I had more than half the neighborhood holding in my wounds. You can always help, even it means holding something for someone that's actively saving a life. I was sure grateful for the crowd. I can't imagine not being. It's like everyone around you is your family in an instant. Hell, strangers did more for me in that moment than most my family members have my entire life. I'm 20 now. I still fear a lot of those moments but I don't fear the help of good people. No matter how many
I feel bad for the women who this sadly hapened to. They are top less with thousands of people staring at them. But godbless them all.and tysmmmmmmm to all the lifeguards thank you thank you thank you soo much for saving millions of lives each year.
I do hate it when everyone just clouds round a possibly dead body they get in the way of the paramedics and imagine how the person would feel whe they wake up and their is a massive crowd around them
I feel the same, but we are pack animals so ofc we have an urge to gather around. It's just an instict. However filming those who are literally dying or already dead is just disrespecting.
sometimes people crowd around because they are genuinely concerned, willingly and ready too help it's human instinct, but yes some are also just there out to observe out oof their own curiosity also another human instinct. A crowd definitely is embarrassing for a victim, and does not help the professionals, but if you watched the video even the lifeguard asked a guy walking by to run a defibrillator over too the victim, professionals need help too.
Nothing wrong with crowding around it as long as they aren't getting in the way of anyone who's helping to rescue the person. People are concerned about the person and want to see the rescue ofcourse. I think it'd be weird to just walk away while someone is dying. I'd want to know if they survived because that would put my mind at ease.
@@eliseallen9030 when compressions are done too fast the the depth ends up being less, deeper compressions increase the chance that using a defibrillator will get the heart going again in the correct rhythm and a patient will arrive at the hospital alive, researchers have found. Deeper compressions send more blood to the heart and brain - the most important organs to keep alive
They probably don’t even notice. I would imagine if they were just dead they would be extremely disoriented and that would be the absolute last thing that even crosses their mind.
That was strange to see a young man who didn't have a pulse and wasn't breathing, yet his mouth and tongue and everything were still moving. I suppose it was the nerves reacting? This is so frightening. Drowning is one of the biggest fears most people have. I have the highest respect for all first responders, life guards included. They rush INTO danger, when everyone else is running away. Thank you to all who risk themselves for the sake of others.
@@vaani1754 I remember when JFK we shot. The ER docs said he was doing the same thing, even with his brain destroyed. I forget what those breaths were called.
If you would have payed attention to the narrator he did mention that he is in spasms. I am guessing they were caused by the electric shock waves given to him to restart the heart.
@@AS-ft6vc I think he was doing it even before they shocked him, though. I'll have to rewatch it to be sure, but I think so. And pardon me if I was distracted and didn't hear what they said. Not everyone can concentrate solely on the video at all times. Some of us have kids/pets, etc. who suddenly demand our attention.
The one that was clinically dead for a few minutes there (Ryan Kim), he is luck to be alive! But man those broken ribs had to hurt like hell, if his ribs weren't cracked to hell then I am 100% surprised. Those were good chest compression.
Ive been a lifeguard for over 2 years now and something no amount of training can prepare you for is the amount of adrenaline you get when performing a rescue. The trauma lifeguards go through is no joke and one of the hardest parts of the job. Massive respect to all my lifeguard brothers and sisters
Absolutely love the dedication these guys have to keeping beachgoers safe. Thank you! Also that last resus is such a good example of agonal breathing. Life tip: always check an unconscious person’s pulse, even if they appear to be breathing. The gasping that guy had was the body’s last ditch attempt to get oxygen after his heart stopped and was not adequate breathing for life. ALSO LEARN CPR!! After a person’s heart stops, doing even basic chest compressions while waiting for emergency medical personnel to arrive is crucial to their survival!

Once I had an infected mosquito bite or something, but I wouldn’t let my mom touch it so it could drain, and using Epsom salts, it eventually began to drain . And one day in school, I went to the nurse because my wound was draining and it was about halfway done by then, so I had a gaping hole in the side of my thigh and no bandaid. The nurse looks at me and says, “ Do you wanna ice pack?” And I say, “No thanks, I only need a band aid.” And she says, “Okay, well let’s call your mom and see what she wants to do about that spider bite.” My mom’s a nurse, and we knew it was a bug bite because we were camping and a mosquito got into the tent and bit me, but I squished it. I say, “it’s only an infection and I only need a band aid, ma’am” But she made me call my mother so she could tell the nurse the exact thing I said. #secondgradestories
Cpr was way to slow, i actually had trouble watching it. Better then nothing at all i guess. That was really... strange watching him spasm it was weird to see like hes moving but he has no pulse? Weird...
@@shazzaisdabest1 yeah that’s because the defib shock goes around his entire body causing that spasm to occur and making him move whilst he’s still dead
These guys can give the best ER staff a run for being quick, efficient, and organized. It seems like chaos but every guy knew his position and worked together to bring these patients back even when things don't go to plan.
If anybody is wondering why in the last one the CPR is so slow, it’s because this was in the early 2000’s. CPR has changed a lot since then and is a lot faster now.
Are they doing it too fast in the rest? I defiantly probably wrong but when I done basic first aid training I was told to forge beat of “Stayin Alive” and to have all my fingers raised so only my palm was on the chest?
Mate the cpr they were doing in all the others was way too fast I know it’s constantly changing but I’ve taken my ALS’s a few weeks ago and that is definitely too fast
Carmen Pastor man i’m british but i have an american accent and i can’t understand aussies they have their own language, no offence it’s really fun to watch people with such cool accents and shortening words.
@@loonalover69 lol. I'm Aussie mate and any Aussie taking offence to that needs to harden up a bit. I love talking to the Indians who have their Indian accent still. Especially the ones working in petrol stations. They really go out of their way to learn Australian and sometimes speak more AUSTRALIAN then us long term Aussies. I love the fact that they've accepted our culture and are doing their best to fit in. Australia is one big multicultural mixing pot and we should all be accepting of cultural diversity as long as it is respectful of others. That doesn't mean we should change our lifestyle but just accept that others are different. Being able to respect others is what makes us a happy group of people . Cultural diversity is what built this country into what it is. The food and coffee are definitely two huge plusses in my book. Have a great day mate.
Am I the only one who hates how everyone stands around staring rather than standing with their back towards the patient for privacy?🧐 or is this just a small town Canadian thing we do?
pika dragon I was referring to having your back turned as a Canadian thing, not this being in Canada. Now reading my comment I can see why you thought that☺️ my apologies
Everybody in the comments says it's disrespectful that the people on the beach watch the rescues... but we are all here on the internet, as curious as these people, watching the rescues...
Good point, I thought the same. But I'm assuming that the patients give their permission for it to be on air. But they don't give their permission for people to watch when it's happening - people shouldn't stand and observe at the moment.
Mohsi Sohal i think it’s kind of habit or something. like you know when someone says don’t look and you try not to but you can’t help yourself? i think it’s that feeling. like they can’t help but look to see what happens to the person
I’ve been watching these guys doing their work and barely any of the videos show this kind a resuscitation. I didn’t realise how hectic their job really is in these situations and I’ve found a new respect for them. What a great job they do coming together as a team to save these peoples lives. Astonishing.
Exactly! Man, some of the comments here are just rediculous.. When life guards are tryna save someone from death, OBVIOUSLY people are gonna crowd around and find out what's happening! It's freakin human nature to be curious and concerned about someone who's fighting for their life! And ofc the life guards had to take off her top to conduct the treatment! So obv shes going to be topless infront of 100+ people! It's not rocket science! 🙄🙄
Car crash TV. You know you shouldn't be watching what you're watching but you just can't look away. I think it's morbid curiosity over anything, though that isn't to say I disagree with you. I find it odd that people gather at the sight of tragedy, however I'd like to know the psychology behind it and why we do it.
supplieroftowels yeah I get it we’re watching this aren’t we, but then again when you’re doing it irl is just disrespectful, I think you should control your curiosity for the sake of the other person at that time
@@Boultbeeable I agree! although that poor poor woman. that would be a time for people to show some human decency and respect towards her, no matter how curious they may be. they sure wouldn't want to have people looking at them in that situation:(

why are people talking about them taking off her top the bondi lifeguards and people of the public saved her life i’d rather be embarrassed then dead and i think she would agree
I like watching these because it reminds me that there are always lifeguards to help you and even possibly save your life. They make me tell protected at beaches and make me more confident about swimming. I’m not that good but it’s nice to know that you will always me okay when swimming in an ocean or pool. I also want to thank all lifeguards for saving lives, helping find lost children, and so much more. We need more people like you in the world. Which is why I have just decided to become a lifeguard when I become an adult. Thank you.
The girl who they took her bikini top off, I feel bad for her cause so many random people were crowding around watching. Like that group of people probably stresses the lifeguards out even more. Edit: I know that the lifeguards needed her top off to do the heart thingy but i was just commenting on how many people weren’t necessary to the saving of her
groups of people don't stress lifeguards out, everyone keeps their distance and listens to the guards like they are the gods, and as a lifeguard you don't even notice people. and its probably not to bad for her, its a topless beach anyways.
Ashleigh Marie they most likely had permission to use the videos anyway, I don’t know what rules the filming agency has regarding privacy, but as you could see her face was not covered up digitally so she must have given permission. And as a lifeguard myself (never had a incident where I had to use for for gods sake) I had other lifeguards that said the only people that they know who where ever ashamed where mostly husbands of of Arabic women (in the gulf themselves) and not often the women themselves. For the rest I have not heard complaints.
Coming from a lifeguard at a pool, we usually dedicate a couple guards to crowd control to keep people away, and protect the modesty of the victim, but I can only imagine how hard it is on a beach where you drive an ATV a quarter mile to start the rescue. That being said the the patient must be completely dry surrounding the area the pads are placed
That was the same that happened to a boy here in DR, recently, he was boxing with his longtime friend and he punch him in the face, unintentionally, then the boy fall to the floor and kick his head in the concrete, then suddenly starts doing this thing, and to shake, it was a video really hard to watch, he died instantly
"Oh, there is a CPR happening, LET'S GO AND STAND AS CLOSE AS POSSIBLE TO MAYBE WATCH A PERSON DYING! AND KYLE, DON'T FORGET TO BRING THE KIDS!" God forbid you by yourself have to be rescued, lying on the ground with bare breasts and the whole freaking beach comes close to watch.
•Sweet Flower• Yea but still what if girls don’t like their boobs at like it’s just on display for everybody to look at even the men like they just stare at you
Angela El-Helo yep I’m already self conscious and yeah I’d be great full for being alive but I barely wear anything other than sweatpants 😅 I’m don’t exactly think I’m pretty either so my dignity and pride would go out the window
As a lifeguard myself who has made multiple rescues and first aid incidents, this is some damn fine work. Everything big and small was done correctly from clearing a path for EMS to performing CPR with in the water.
for those who don't know, it is necessary to be bare skin when having the defibrilator, so women need to be topless in that moments, there is nothing to be embarassed about or be mad about it
Thankfully most cultures outside of America and other Abrahamic cult-run countries don't care about nudity all that much, especially in 100% reasonable circumstances like this.
It's such a scary thing all of that water comes out of their lungs and not their stomach... It must be such a scary feeling, not being able to breathe, because all of your airways are filled with water
It's honestly horrifying...ive had an asthma attack while swimming already not being able to breath before the water starts to fill your lungs...i don't wish it on anyone
zpfen Are you gonna call somebody else stupid when you can’t even spell and yes technically they were dead you heard the form where they called them dead right get your facts straight before you come for somebody else
The last one definitely got me the most, you could see while they were doing CPR his face was turning blue and purple. Life slowly moving away, and then we he came too, his face flushed back with colour! So glad they were able to get him back.
he didnt drown by the way, he had a cardiac arrest in the water. Serious heart condition. There was an update which you can probably find typing Taka Bondi
Yes, I remember that episode, he had had a cardiac arrest from an unknown heart condition and collapsed into the water. He was very, very lucky. I think he was fitted with a pacemaker immediately after they diagnosed him with it, while still in Australia.
If someone ever has a cardiac arrest near you, remember one thing. Chest compressions, chest compressions, chest compressions. Need to get oxygen to the brain.
Right? It's driving me insane. I assume that a lot of these videos are probably filmed quite some time prior to release, but, people need to know that the science as of now says just do chest compressions. You're not sure you've got a pulse? Chest compressions. Don't worry about hurting them. Chest compression. Chest compressions. Chest compressions. You should be doing compressions while someone else is wiping down the chest/cutting the top/applying the defib pads. You only stop for rhythm and pulse checks (and then obviously if ROSC is achieved), or airway insertion, or if the patient vomits and the airway needs to be cleared. Especially when you have that many people helping out. The only thing that trumps airway, breathing, and circulation is catastrophic hemorrhage, like if shark chomps off the leg--you tourniquet it first--and even then only if you're by yourself and you have to choose which thing to prioritize. That's research that's been out since 2006.
I honestly get so emotional watching these like these lifeguards are incredible humans who save lives but seem so humble down to earth and good humored
Am i the only one who hates it when people are just staring at him / her and standing in a circle like its just worse enough! And guys. I would do it too, but all the people are just watching at somebody who’s in pain.
a lot of medics make people stand in a circle facing outward in public places so other people cannot see but those people were totally doing the wrong thing
Exactly. He really did help them. Their CPR was all over the place it’s good he told them to slow down. They should definitely listen to someone with more advanced life saving skills like the anaesthetist. So bizarre. They obviously need some more CPR training.
@atom they should teach that this happens in cpr cases. I was helping at a horrible accident last year. A young woman had a severe head injury, wasn't breathing but still had a pulse. A trained nurse was helping as well and wanted to keep me from doing cpr saying it would be of no use. Situations like this are overwhelming as it is. I wanted to do teamwork on this but since then I realized you can't in such situations. She didn't mean any harm and was in shock herself but we lost time. Just rely on yourself and your training not what people tell you. So I understand if the lifeguards try to keep others away although in this case it wasn't necessary.
You guys are amazing. You give you're all for people to continue to enjoy their lives & this world wide beauty of a beach. It isn't "Just a job". You must have the natural 'want & passion' to do this. I've done this in the hospital setting were we have everything on hand, in a controlled manner. This is way above that. The team work is critical for these people. They knowledge is critical. Yet you do this for the same reason that we do it. To save that life until there is no other option. I just wish there was a rule for you that the public stay right away from you all. Any parent that allows their child to stand there and watch this happen, could be a whole new trauma for that child if the patient is unable to be recovered. I salute you all. Nurse Helen
why are people pressed about the lifeguards taking the woman’s top off? they did it to literally save her life. you should be more concerned about all of the people standing around staring.
Yeah I’ve been in situations like that before. I work at a few stadiums in my area, and nothing gets on my nerves more than people standing around when there’s an emergency happening. People need to get the hell out of the way. Crowding around just makes everything worse
@@almaa5442 literally!! i hate it when people crowd. i was talking about the people in the comments who said it was “inappropriate.” i totally agree with you!!
I think you'd be more thankful someone saved your life than people seeing your breasts and throwing up. I am CPR certified and you're told to take off people's shirts and bras in order to do cpr properly. And you don't want to use the defibrillator if a woman is wearing a bra with a wire. Trust me if I ever had to administer CPR I wouldnt care about how naked someone is, I'd just want to do my best to help them.
@@courtney2736 oh I completely understand, I'm just trying to imagine how confused and terrified she must be. I wish large groups of people didnt stad around a watch because it makes the whole situation more stressful, and her more scared when waking up. I live uphill and I must say, my respect for open water rises on a new Level. These guys are heros. Thank you all for your Service, passion and kindness.
I did an emergency first aid course for a volunteer role, they showed the clip of ‘Tuckers’ rescue to explain what Agonal breathing is. Just goes to show that if you know what to do and you work as a team, you can really save someone’s life. That guy was lucky, he was clinically dead for at least 5 minutes but suffered no brain damage at all. Massive well done to Bondi Life guards
There’s a million of those “this got recommended and now I’m addicted” (and yes, that’s how I found this show) but I wonder how many of the people here knew about this show before?
I literally thought I was the only one,,, I'm so addicted to that show that I immediately recognized the music within the first like 0.0000000001 seconds lmfaoo
As a first responder it’s amazing to see the training kick in and take over. It’s a reminder to keep training often. Also make sure your training is always in real life situations. What you train is what you will do in emergency situations. Your training and brain will take over so if you do it properly you will be successful.
Throwing up water when ur gasping for air looks so uncomfortable. Btw I wonder what those people see when they’re basically dead for an amount of minutes🤔
There's a guy who was clinically dead and said he went to heaven. Described it as a tropical paradise, with colors he's never seen before and couldn't describe. Can't say for sure but I think he wrote a book.
@ that could be the case. But on the other hand the brain can only comprehend for your primary colors, and the secondary and tertiary colors they create. He described seeing colors that he's never seen before and could not describe saying that they were completely new to him. I don't know what the correct answer is, and I think that's okay. Also random fun fact the mantis shrimp can see 12 primary colors, and can instantly boil the water around them with a single punch. This has nothing to do with anything but mantis shrimps are really cool and I'm an animal geek.
Look it up. They all have similar stories. Always indescribable bliss. When the defibrillator was invented the stories increased exponentially. Look into it. It's fascinating.
I'm not sure if it still is, but Bondi at least USED to be televised here in NZ and I have an incredibly vivid memory of watching the episode with the last clip. Crazy to watch it now, years later, knowing that this guy is probably (hopefully) still alive out there somewhere after going through something like that.
A reminder that the ocean is beautiful and yet terrifying. A massive shout out to all lifeguards and those who help them in these critical situations.

That’s why I took cpr classes as well as first add so in the event someone needs either I would be able to help.
Especially when they don't move for the ambulance to get through
I was stabbed 3 times and robbed when I was 14. I'm 20 now.
It’s practically human instincts
Nothing wrong with crowding around it as long as they aren't getting in the way of anyone who's helping to rescue the person. People are concerned about the person and want to see the rescue ofcourse. I think it'd be weird to just walk away while someone is dying. I'd want to know if they survived because that would put my mind at ease.
That anesthetist was right, they were going a bit too fast on that one guy, and with fast compressions, depth suffers and it’s not efficient.
and how would you know… i’m not trying to be rude or anything like that i am just asking
@@eliseallen9030 when compressions are done too fast the the depth ends up being less, deeper compressions increase the chance that using a defibrillator will get the heart going again in the correct rhythm and a patient will arrive at the hospital alive, researchers have found. I find it odd that people gather at the sight of tragedy, however I'd like to know the psychology behind it and why we do it.
supplieroftowels yeah I get it we’re watching this aren’t we, but then again when you’re doing it irl is just disrespectful, I think you should control your curiosity for the sake of the other person at that time
@@apan8783 Absolutely, I agree.
@@Boultbeeable I agree! although that poor poor woman. that would be a time for people to show some human decency and respect towards her, no matter how curious they may be. they sure wouldn't want to have people looking at them in that situation:(
I don't like how people surround the incident it's kind of disturbing on my part😬
Yes ikr it's called a death circle ☠️
Its just curiosity, most of them are concerned
I understand human curiosity but at a certain point your decency and respect has to kick in and let you understand that standing that close and gawking is wrong.
Ya and I don’t like how parents let their little kids see what’s going on
Well its human nature to be curious. Who knows, maybe watching them resus someone could help them save a life in the future
We need more people like lifeguards. They are incredible.
I know this is obvious but the amount of water that pumps out of their noses and mouths of the folks who drown when they start CPR is so terrifying.
Yeah like the first dude. I was shocked at the amount of water coming out
@@ashleighvinson5801 yeah you could see his stomach was bloated because off all that water
ikr
why are people talking about them taking off her top the bondi lifeguards and people of the public saved her life i’d rather be embarrassed then dead and i think she would agree
Agreed, finally someone with
common sense.
hello sm6 same
They even say they have to take her top off to dry her skin and attach the patch for the Defib like how else would you do it?? Ahahaha
They took off the womans top to first get more space and not to make it squish up her back so its harder to breath
So technically they did it to keep her alive
Shem Shem doesn’t mean she won’t feel vulnerable. If she wanted to be topless she would’ve gone topless
Ashleigh Marie she died... i dont think her main concern when she came back
Coming from a lifeguard at a pool, we usually dedicate a couple guards to crowd control to keep people away, and protect the modesty of the victim, but I can only imagine how hard it is on a beach where you drive an ATV a quarter mile to start the rescue. That being said the the patient must be completely dry surrounding the area the pads are placed
The agonal breathing at 14:24. Man. His brain was trying so hard to keep him alive.
Ik! It was incredibly hard to watch
His body not his brain
What's agonal breathing?
Elizabeth Arias it’s the body’s reaction to not die, it is the last grasp at trying to get some air when all options are out, horrible to watch
AND KYLE, DON'T FORGET TO BRING THE KIDS!"
God forbid you by yourself have to be rescued, lying on the ground with bare breasts and the whole freaking beach comes close to watch.
Be even greatful they saved your life, who cares if your topless or not that's how you do CPR correctly, if they staring, everyone's is.
•Sweet Flower• Yea but still what if girls don’t like their boobs at like it’s just on display for everybody to look at even the men like they just stare at you
@@angelael-helo7179 you wouldn't understand, what's going on! Your probably will die inside, but the only important thing is they saved you.
Stan Franzisko I don’t understand why people are standing around watching with their children. The lifeguards are amazing, I’m a very proud Aussie.
Everything big and small was done correctly from clearing a path for EMS to performing CPR with in the water.
for those who don't know, it is necessary to be bare skin when having the defibrilator, so women need to be topless in that moments, there is nothing to be embarassed about or be mad about it
@Charlotte Mathonet yeah they get mad because they don't know nothing about doing cpr.
I agree it’s all about saving peoples lives not if their topless I glad they saved her before it was way too late 😪
People are mad not because she was topless but because that crowd stood there and just stared at her
Who is mad? Come on
Thankfully most cultures outside of America and other Abrahamic cult-run countries don't care about nudity all that much, especially in 100% reasonable circumstances like this.
i hate this people are standing around a woman topless the poor lady would have probably have wanted some privacy
Maybe they needed to shock her on he chest do they took it off but I never saw her with a top
•millua -chan• are u serious? Do you really think she cares when she was quite literally about to die.
Harry ik tf these people
Yeah poor late 😯😯
I think she cared more about her life at that time.
It's such a scary thing all of that water comes out of their lungs and not their stomach... It must be such a scary feeling, not being able to breathe, because all of your airways are filled with water
I've had that happen to me, it's terrifying.
sweetberry 98, glad your ok tho..!
@@softiie1219 thanks 😊
It's honestly horrifying...ive had an asthma attack while swimming already not being able to breath before the water starts to fill your lungs...i don't wish it on anyone
Lillyana *all I can think about is the fault in our stars.....it’s an issue*
I just love how sincerely caring the guys are.
It’s crazy how ppls are dead for minuets and live again
Your fucking stupid
zpfen *you’re
zpfen Are you gonna call somebody else stupid when you can’t even spell and yes technically they were dead you heard the form where they called them dead right get your facts straight before you come for somebody else
zpfen well they are clinically classed as dead, doesn’t mean they can’t be resuscitated, plus it’s you’re*
Majority of these people wouldn’t be alive if it weren’t for these lifeguards, bless them.
I think he was fitted with a pacemaker immediately after they diagnosed him with it, while still in Australia.
the cpr on the last one was way to slow too, thats what was stressing me out. it needs to be around 120 bpm
Reasons why resus was started:
Big wave accident - 10%
I can’t swim - 90%
ikr
I'm sorry I was your 339 like
E ZA litterly no India’s there all chines or Japanese. Know your races.
E ZA in the past 20 episodes I have not seen one Indian just chines Korean Japanese including in the video but I’ll take you’re word
Also I just saw a top comment and it said they should Learn mandarin because they save so many chines Japanese and Korean people
If someone ever has a cardiac arrest near you, remember one thing.
That's research that's been out since 2006.
i know this is a serious situation, but this comment reminded me of dr mike
isnt that what that one doctor says all the time in his video
I honestly get so emotional watching these like these lifeguards are incredible humans who save lives but seem so humble down to earth and good humored
Am i the only one who hates it when people are just staring at him / her and standing in a circle like its just worse enough!
And guys. I would do it too, but all the people are just watching at somebody who’s in pain.
everyone does its just a natural thing.. you want to look away but you cant
How are they meant to help unless they have medical training then they shouldn’t help cos it could make it worse
a lot of medics make people stand in a circle facing outward in public places so other people cannot see but those people were totally doing the wrong thing
Baller Boy Can you not call them bitch? It’s so immature.. smh
It can also inspire someone to start studying or start a job in medical or a lifeguard
The poor anesthetist just trying to help and told to go away, actually ended up helping by telling them to slow down the cpr. Was way to fast
Fuckin
Exactly. He really did help them. Their CPR was all over the place it’s good he told them to slow down. They should definitely listen to someone with more advanced life saving skills like the anaesthetist. So bizarre. They obviously need some more CPR training.
@@josepulido3423 but they can’t. They are taught to not listen to bystanders
Korean are good when it comes to field of medicine.
People forget that a defib only works on dry bare skin. It applies for females as well. Should've cleared the area if privacy was wanted.
@@coreydrake8258 i totally agree.
Yeah I’ve been in situations like that before. I work at a few stadiums in my area, and nothing gets on my nerves more than people standing around when there’s an emergency happening. People need to get the hell out of the way. Crowding around just makes everything worse

Bots. The even out the dislikes and likes
Its 400 now
hearing everyone clap after you just saved someone’s life must feel so good
Oh my God, imagine waking up topless throwing up with life guards surrounding you. That's absolutely terrifying
I think you'd be more thankful someone saved your life than people seeing your breasts and throwing up. I am CPR certified and you're told to take off people's shirts and bras in order to do cpr properly. And you don't want to use the defibrillator if a woman is wearing a bra with a wire. Trust me if I ever had to administer CPR I wouldnt care about how naked someone is, I'd just want to do my best to help them.
especially the 50+ tourists just watching
@@courtney2736 oh I completely understand, I'm just trying to imagine how confused and terrified she must be. I wish large groups of people didnt stad around a watch because it makes the whole situation more stressful, and her more scared when waking up.
We were shown the Ryan Kim one. All these videos are really good though. Great for learning.

This is probably my favorite episode because of the team work and the quick response of CPR and the care.
Snowflake Whitewolf333 that’s interesting tbh
@@deathnom9083 as long as the brain is working, you are not really dead, but you can still hallucinate stuff while being unconscious,
@ that could be the case.
