Actually that quite bothered me, because it makes it seem like she's got a camera crew or something. With all the different angles and B-roll shots and random macro closeups of fruit and other flora. Which essentially ruins the whole tone of the video that she's a humble person carrying on traditional methods of building things with her hands.
GreenMoonGirl95 I get where you coming from, but I don’t think that would take away from a humble story telling experience shown in high quality filmmaking. You could get inexpensive cameras at a low cost and the way it was films there’s no movement, just good framing. And if she did have a film crew, it probably helped her out and her family anyway. We get to all experience a skilled craftsmanship at work. Bette than being screen on a flip phone quality video 😂
GreenMoonGirl95 i think before she got a camera crew she had a really tough time with filming her videos. one of her noodle making videos she did by herself and every time she set up the camera the dough for the noodles would dry out and she did it repetitively. (this is what i saw from one of the comments of her videos)
@@elvislikesphotos I suppose that's a fair point. And it's always possible that she was doing all this stuff on her own prior, and then someone else, like an independent film group, took an interest in her.
@@GreenMoonGirl I was bothered by the production quality too when I saw this video/channel for the first time. I assumed she is some actress at first with a production team making things for her and pretending something she is not. So after some digging, this is what I found. TLDR: She was some poor country girl who had to be self-reliant and most of what we see as talent is how poor folks in the countryside need to know to survive. Hired a camera person and a part-time assistant after she got famous because her videos took 4-6 months to make. She grew up in a poor family and stepmother became extremely abusive after her father died. So she moved in with her grandparents in the countryside around 6. Her grandfather was a chef and taught her the philosophy of cooking rather than the technical part. After she turns 14 she dropped out of high school and become child labor working in restaurants and bars in the city to support her grandparents. When her grandfather passed away she came back to take care of her ailing grandmother. With limited resources, she started her channel with the purpose of reintroducing the country lifestyle and what she enjoys doing. She became famous in the Chinese version of TH-cam in May of 2017 and ten of thousands of people in China became skeptical of her and when rumors start to spread about her being an actress trolls would often leave abusive comments in her video. She then stopped for a few months when people finally tracked her and her grandmother down and said or did something horrible to her grandmother. In her interviews, she was pretty open about her process and her decision of hiring 2 other people to help speed things up during her hiatus. She also acknowledges even though her camera person is a professional she often micromanage him/her (sorry, Chinese pronouns are kinda gender neutral) and set up the shoots her way. In any case, reading through the comments it seems everyone kinda projects whatever image we had of her because she doesn't talk much in the video. But after digging around and see her wears normal clothes and communicate in mandarin she basically looked and sound like an ordinary person.
I love you for your positive can do attitude and your multitude of God given skills. All useful and practical to enhance your and your family's life. Very sweet. God bless you and your people.

Here's the translation: I have been wanting to buy a sofa set but a good eye catching set costs over 10k RMB. Then last week I remembered my grandpa made a sofa set before. So I took his idea and try to make it. This is bamboo season, ideal to use to make a back basket, a chair and a rack and will not get infested with bugs. I made a back basket, a folding fan and a tray before but never made a sofa set. I made a lot of mistakes but with trial and error I finally made a monk bed, an empress chair and a tea table. Very happy, very happy. Coming from a smilely person who just saved a ton of money.
She is so strong and independent yet amazingly graceful and calm. I love that she is sharing her lifestyle and making a global platform where people from all cultures and places meet. Much love from America.
Lessons from Liziqi: 1. Focus (no distractions) 2. Determination (following through till the end however long it takes) 3. Working closely and in line with nature. 4. Being occupied. 5. Learning new skills. Result: mental peace (no anxiety/depression) and a joyful life. Thank you for your contribution to humanity 💐.
@Skraft Depression and anxiety appear when there's no serotonine in your body. Serotonine is produced by having a goal in life that fulfils your spirit. Also by sharing with others. Her lifestyle absolutely contributes to avoid depression and anxiety.
@Skraft Causes of depression may vary widely. There's indeed the genetic disorder issue, but it's not the only cause of depression. Anxiety and depression, can, if the origin is not genetic, be cured, fixed and prevented by a healthy lifestyle.

She can be a carpenter, designer, dress maker, make up producer, farmer, and chef all at the same time😍😍
She s very smart girl on all aspect of life.

Yes the one true god is the woman.
🤮
and also, she used to make a living by being a disc jockey before making these videos~~
She is actor
All her movements are very quick and energetic, but incredibly precise. Amazing to watch a master at work.
I hate when ppl reduce her only to a cooking channel. She's an engineer, a homemaker, the ultimate DIY channel imo
She, is a badass...

She learned from her grandfather and grandmother. She also is naturally a hard worker.
GENUINELY one of the most fascinating things i’ve ever watched.
She’s so breathtakingly beautiful, one half of my family comes from her province. The south all along the Yangtze is so beautiful too, having grown up in the northwest corner near the border of Kazakhstan, I really wish I grew up here instead.
Where is her province?

karl williams hey I am WITH you!!! I’m trying to quit smoking weed and apply for jobs but anxiety and depression has really halted me. But after just a day of watching her videos I am so inspired that I cleaned up all my plants, made a huge home made breakfast, cleaned and have been sprucing up my portfolio :)

Here's the translation:
I have been wanting to buy a sofa set but a good eye catching set costs over 10k RMB.
Thank you for the translation.

Widen the aperture and get more color detail. Film when the light is perfect, and preferably after a good rain.
@@musikSkoolby that u will end up filming once a year
Bamboo is very strong yet looks easy to cut and carve. Now I want all my furniture to be from bamboo. I thought my DIY were nice. Hers is amazing.
Michelle Gauthier and it’s cool in summer, u don’t even need A/C if it’s not too hot
Bamboo is also anti bacterial which makes it great for outdoor furniture, camping, boating, or if you're in a damp region.
Michelle Gauthier I now regret that I did not learn how to do this when I had a bamboo grove behind my house.
Wow!! Beautiful furniture, love it😍😍👍👍👏👏
It is impressive! No workbench, no complex machinery, literally: "handmade"
What kind of creature could "not like" this?
She is so strong and independent yet amazingly graceful and calm. I love that she is sharing her lifestyle and making a global platform where people from all cultures and places meet.
Much love from America.
Missalicevids she’s from China
Sarah Lu yes, I believe Sichuan China
This is not her life. She actually was a DJ before, then she became a short video maker and go to China’s rural areas to make these kind of videos.

5. Learning new skills.

Xmas,
@Skraft Depression and anxiety appear when there's no serotonine in your body.
I like how at the end after setting up all her Beautiful furniture pieces she asks her grandma what she thinks about her pillows. 💖😂
Francis Castro she asked her about the furniture as well though 😂
@@annandrew5538 yeah I heard it but considering how days had probably passed since she asked, I would of asked if she liked the furniture again once it was all done. Lol that's why I was taken back by it; it was so humble of her.
Francis Castro Yeah I get it. I’m sure she did though or the gran mentioned it again but there’s no point in showing that in the video more than once. She’s so talented though!
Francis Castro hell the pillows would’ve been more work than the actual furniture
She embroidered a chinese word '柒'on the pillow that is her name ‘qi'.
I saw an interview with her where she mentioned that her grandfather made furniture and taught her all about it when she was younger. It's wonderful to see that she keeps the tradition.
