Enjoyed this one lads - hell of a lot of effort involved with these trips. Well done on that eel, a fantastic fish for the west coast. Unlucky on the skate front, they are so very good at humbling us mere mortal humans...
Easy lads you all OK, thanks for another cracking vid to watch. Riveting stuff. Unlucky John, great effort. I bet ya felt like ya had bin hit with a base ball bat allover ya body next morning lol. Love the show , all the best from south of the Humber estuary GRIMSBY.
Great video…. Love the honesty from you guys. I myself have just pimped my rod stand up with the ldm grippa, grippa butts, solo grippa butt, hex’s and the riggle’s. Fantastic product’s 👍🏻
Well don on your new PB buddy, awesome great vid as always, unlucky on that Skate, he should have kept up on his feet, easy for me to say thou lol! see you on the rocks buddy!
What an epic video mate, a couple of chaps from here went up recently, Nobby who I fish with, also known as slamfish went up, they got into one, exactly the same, could see it, and got snagged on a ledge. Great editing as always buddy, and massive congrats on the pb conger, you looked super happy 👍🎣🎣
@spooliganfishing mate, I think you underestimate your fishing. My pb conger is 12lb on the nose, I was made up, I think any fish over 10lb is a great fish. But then I still enjoy catching dog fish 🤣🤣👍
When ya watch other people fishing for these monsters the reel is up high and the butt of the rod is between there legs that looks key to me so you can bully it that way but a could be wrong but what a watch man love your vids mate unlucky john took you for one hell of a ride 😂👌🏻🎣
Love the videos lads, but isn’t a long rod a disadvantage when targeting things like big Skate. A lot of leverage working against you, or have I missed something as most are using rods of around 14 ft.
We learned a lot of lessons on this trip. Line choices, fighting belts etc. Rods are personal choice I think, having seen how hard these fish fight and run I’d be more comfortable with T1000/1200 although an Axcellerator (if you can get hold of one) would be a good call!
nice one spooliguy

😂😂 yeah! It’s not for the feint hearted!!
Great video.
Think anyone with a 19lb conger on the west would be over the moon.
Looking forward to more adventures from you all.
A couple of folk have mentioned that’s a decent conger for west coast! Cheers pal.
And these me thinking fishing is FUN. Lol Great video , unlucky doesnt really cover it John, but you will talk about it for years.
Oh yes. Memorable for all many reasons!
Well done on the PB and a massive shame to have a line snap that close in always next time 🎣

That’s a broken man hell of a scrap
Brutal to witness. Even more brutal to hear the line snap after that length of time!!
