  • A relatively easy 12 mile walk around Loch Venachar starting at Brig ‘o Turk. At the east end of the Loch there is a short but steep climb to Dunmore Iron Age Hill Fort.

Loch Venchar is my go to location for Stand Up Paddleboarding. My daughter isn't so keen on areas with deep water so the relative shallowness of this Loch draws us in every time. Great video. Looks like a perfect May Day! 🌞

Thanks mate. I just looked at your Beinglas video. I’ve stayed there many times and passed through on Monday on the West Highland Way but I was staying at the Drovers. I’ve subscribed to Scott’s Land👍 I’ll watch your other videos soon.😎

@@Robertm436 I saw your video on the WHW and the fact you have done it 50 times. Honestly what a brilliant achievement. The WHW has meant alot to me when I did the whole thing in 2013. I have done as many day walks on it as much as I can and always at my happiest on that path. I'm a huge advocate of the WHW and looking after it. Do you prefer camping on the path or staying at the accommodation? Keep up the videos. Looking forward to your next adventure Take care 🥾🥾🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿😁👍😁

@@ScottsLand I do enjoy the WHW and have tried doing it different ways eg 3,4,5,6,7 days. Camping, Bivvying twice (didn’t like that - too hot), Hostels/B&B’s, mixture of camping and B&B’s. Always south to north (so far). Walking with others but mostly on my own. Just finished number 51 yesterday with my son. Number 52 will be in June. I do lots of other walks too and hopefully I’ll create some videos of those. I’ll aim to do another WHW one for number 60 and 70 if I get there.😂😂

@@Robertm436 What a legend doing it that amount of times. At what part along Loch Lomond do you stand absolutely knackered and think.. 'I want to do this all over again' 😂🤣😂🤣 Stickler for punishment lol. I started YTing well after my WHW but I live near the start of it and just like being on it no matter how small or big the day walking is. I'm always is awe of people who carry all their gear so well done. Bivvy camping isn't for me I need a few luxuries lol. Just need to work on keeping warm at night when the temp drops. Any help would be much appreciated. Always open to suggestions. Cant wait for where you will be taking us next. All the best 🥾🥾🏕️😁👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

@@ScottsLand there’s always a point when I ask ‘why am I doing this again?’, and sometimes the answer comes back ‘because you’re nuts!’. Especially when it’s really hot and all I wish for is to be near my fridge at home!😂 .
