Another lovely walk, thanks for taking me along. When you were in that pie shop I found myself shouting at the screen "get a mutton pie!", I left Scotland 50 years ago but still miss the mutton pies we used to get in Maryhill.

Many thanks. I think they did have mutton pies. Next time I'm in Callander I'll get one.

By all means Ed, blow your nose when you need to! I think this video was really nice; the pie shop, the beautiful loch, the animals along the way, and most especially the homestead ruins. As usual, everything was lovely and interesting. Thanks for sharing. Lynn

Hello there. I love exploring Scotland with you, especially in winter. Here is icy Ontario, I never know when I'm going to experience the thrill of having my feet shoot out from under me. Watching your videos is a much safer way to travel. A visual and musical feast. Thank you.

Know this: there are enough of us here that appreciate you and your videos, warts and all. There are enough moments of brilliance to keep us all enthralled and coming back for more. We know you're not David Attenborough with a his crew of dozens to help him produce his productions. We know there's no production assistant waiting off camera with a box of tissues. It's just one man trying to balance the demands of filming with a 10 odd mile walk and the risk of being caught out on the trail in the dark. Keep up the good work and tell the naysayers to go forth and multiply!

The unusual name of Brig o'Turk comes partly from the location of a bridge there. The "Turk" element comes from the Gaelic tuirc, which means wild boar, and suggests they were once hunted there. A few years ago, I heard what sounded like a wild boar at Brig o'Turk, but I couldn't see it. It didnt sound like it could have been anything else. It looks like they are still there after perhaps centuries. Its a great place for walking, and I was at the Loch Venachar dam last summer when the water level was low. Well done for obeying the 'SLOW' sign😁 Great video👍

What a lovely walk, beautiful light. I loved the sheep and grumpy looking cow, the ruins, moss covered rocks in the woods and the slow sign made me laugh out loud. It's amazing the random things you find where you least expect them. Beautiful wee bridges too. And to top it off with an Arran Blonde, perfect reward after 13 miles. That's a lot of mileage! Great video as always 🙂

I really enjoyed this video Eddy, as I spent many days of holiday time in the stunning Trossachs area, mainly Brig O’Turk and Callander. Never been on the South side of Loch Venachar before, certainly looks like a great walk!
I remember seeing Samson’s putting stone while driving along the A821, so will look forward to whenever you are on that adventure.
I recall a place called “The Scotch Oven on Callander Main Street which made the most amazing pies, and also had some great meals at the Lade Inn.

But I placated her with haggis neeps and tatties in the Lace inn. Who cares how you pronounce names, I overheard a posh sounding man telling his weans how Chatelerault should be said or I would still be mispronouncing it to this day.
