Dallas has the perfect goal horn tone.
By far the best
I'm not even a Stars fan and I agree.
Rock And Roll Part II (late 90's / 00) was better.
The Pantera sounding music and chant after Dallas goals is my favorite part
It's amazing in person. Stars games are tier 1 sports experiences.
Pulling a goalie without CLEAR possession is absurd, it’s essentially free candy for your opponent. You need to be in full control of the puck before risking your net being wide open. Get yourself set up and relatively “stable” first
and while making a line change! and never once called a timeout to rest his top guys....
This comment and its reply are hilarious. The Oilers indeed had the puck with 4 guys entering the zone lol. Then they lost the puck and as the Oilers turned they went to the bench. Its crazy how it literally was right infront of our eyes but people just dont see it
Kane did have the puck as Skinner was going off the ice in the dall zone.
I do not know what you and those who thumbed up your comment are watching?
And with over 2 minutes left, trailing by only one goal -
Many NHL coaches pull their goalies early, not convinced at all about that strategy
@@GdF420 it can work (depending on the team) and I’ve seen them pulled as early as 5 minutes left…though only in “life or death” situations where there’s nothing left to lose
But it really is a case by case (or team by team) basis
The way the Oilers were buzzing around the net,I thought for sure they'd win.
Jake Oettinger came up huge!
Stars seem to have good positioning. Don't all chase after one guy, takes away the lanes in front of the net.
For a period
Are you kidding? Dallas was clearly dominant lol. Edmonton played 1 period.
Oilers definitely slowed down after the 1st, they need to play like the 1st game or else Dallas will eat them up
Dallas got lucky and also paid off the refs.
I love these highlights…but the balance between the many first and few third period highlights is always bad.
The empty netter blew my mind - thought the 3rd had just started
Dude sportsnet puts in crappy clips just to get their videos over 10 minutes. Even a game like this where they could've showed it in under 6 minutes; they won't. Because youtube monetizes you on a different platform for videos over 10 minutes. Even if you beg them they won't make a 9:59 video. I'm currently working on a solution ;)
@@searchingfornessie8410 ? I want longer highlights…or at least more from the second and thirds

9:40 McDavid not sure who he should complain to about the empty net goal.
Probably his own guys. Later on when Kane took that stupid penalty Leon was ripping into him.
Perhaps he should complain to the coach for pulling the goalie without clear puck posession
I am from Alberta, Go Dallas Go!!!
Makes me think Drai should be the Oilers captain. Maybe he will also leave the team after his contract expires so he won't have to be the Robin to the Batman that is emotionless robot McDavid
Looks more like he was thinking “Oh I’m so glad we split the first two in Dallas. This team’s defense is built different.”

Stankovens energy is INSANE and doesn't go unnoticed. I hope the rest of the stars follow suit! Go out there and own it!
Go go Texas!! Respect from Russia
Stars have this.
Hopefully Hintz is back game 3
Like I've said all along, shut down Micdavid and the Oilers are done. The Stars are the best road team in the league so I don't think Edmonton is going to win as easy as their fans think. Also, Ottinger is twice the goalie and that will be the difference in the series.
You can't shut down McDavid, and this is the result, Oilers vs Panthers, Go Oilers!!!
Connor McSlasher shaking his head at the end is the chefs kiss.

I can feel Esa's grin even though we can't really see it. This team is awesome.
he loves those empty net goals lol
Dallas can not afford to be outshot by this much in the early stages of the game, all it takes is one lucky bounce.
Watch the empty net goal. It looks like two Oilers didnt even try to get between the shooter and the net to stop the shot. It actually looks like number 2 moved out of the way to give him a clear shot.
yup, i thought the same thing myself
It looks like they put the puck deep in our zone and then got caught trying to get a line change, and the guys who didn't get to change were just exhausted.
Looks like they gave up. Just didn't want to get hit by the puck on it's way in.
@@georgemalczynski what actually happened is they had no clue the goalie was pulled because no one told them. Poor communications is what the coach admitted to. 🤣

I'm lucky enough to have a satellite dish that will enable me to watch Canadian television even though I live in Dallas. It's unfortunate American fans have to watch on either TNT or ESPN. There And Back Again To Dallas To Tie Up The Series Great Improvement For This Team
"There and Back Again: A Series Clincher" by the Dallas Stars
It's a Hockey Tale written for the Dallas Stars as they close the series on Game Five back at American Airlines Center
We are officially back in the Dead Puck Era. This game was straight out of the late 1990s: no flow, passes off the mark, scoring opportunities squandered, etc.
The first four games of the conference finals have been absolute garbage from an entertainment standpoint. If the NHL wants to keep adding teams this is the watered-down product we're going to get.
league expansion and trap defense have nothing to do with each other

how many times has Skinner let in a goal within the first 5 shots this playoffs?
Eh as a former goalie that’s when you’re most likely to let one in. I loved 50 shot games I’d be so locked in and playing out of my mind. Worst is when you only see less than 20 and always the first 5 of the game when you’re finding the games rhythm
@@andrewchristie2970 Yes,sure, then why is Skinner most likely ALWAYS the Goalie to let the first shot or few go In?.... so its not common its a bad habit of Skinners.
@BobsUruncle-dl7cs he's got that Johnny Burns thing going on, who let in 7 1st shot goals one year in Toronto. That year the Leafs had more down 2-0 starts than any other team in the NHL.
@@marcob6880 Wow, could be a name thing...Burns...Skinner....who knows but statistically its an anomaly right? Some guys need to be hit hard to understand they are in a fight and to get rolling . Skinner seems to need a pinch to wake up.

OILERS ONCE AGAIN DONT PLAY FULL 60 MINS
Edmonton didn’t deserved the first game. Good thing Dallas won that one.
As I have said; The oilers will be sent home peacefully hopefully
Full credit to Dallas for withstanding the first period storm and cranking up the blocked shots. Greasy second goal. Can't hate on that.
That said pulling the goalie like that was disastrous! Bouchard looked like he didn't even know Stu was gone! We got a split on their home ice, which is really the best we can expect against a team like Dallas. Hoping for 2 solid games on home ice, full 60 min effort each.

It felt like the Oilers were in control periods 1-2, but Dallas had the better scoring opportunities throughout.
Oettinger really kept dallas in this one. Oilers were pushing hard in the first.
Whatever happened to Robertson? The guy was a scoring machine a few years ago.

Im glad the stars got a win. Its gonna be a tough series to win for the stars. Not sure how the oilers came in as the dogs in this series but they did.
Because the Stars have way more depth than the Oilers. They had a better season, beat them pretty badly 2 out 3 times this year. Stars beat last years champs VGK after going 2 games to none. Then beat the champs from 2 years ago in 6 games. While the Oilers barely got past Vancouver.
