I think you should immediately watch "Hell you call a Dream" to get the full feel of them today. To me it is a more exciting song!! Pau the Drummer has a great drum cam view and she tears it up!
Agree with Hell You Call A Dream. These girls are at their best live. I would recommend this live version of HYCAD. You will not regret it. th-cam.com/video/s6b_FgQnXL8/w-d-xo.html
I disagree , this is my all time favorite warning song ! Pau already said that this song is her favorite on the new album and the most challenging on drums !
If you want live, then I have suggestions: 1) Evolve at the MTV Music Video Awards. OR 2) He’ll You Call a Dream at The Pepsi Center CDMX OR 3) Disciple at the Teatro Metropolitan CDMX. They sound amazing live!
Teatro Metropolian concert has the best sound quality and each song is killer. If you are interested in their gear as of last year, "Gearmasters" channel here on YT has a short video on each of them.
Great reaction and extra points for being a Steelers fan!... Welcome to The Warning rabbit hole, I'm sure you're gonna enjoy the journey. All three, Dany (guitar), Pau (Drums) and Ale (Bass) are amazing, but if you think Pau puts on a show, wait until you get to one of the songs where she sings lead, Pau is also the leading songwriter of the band, a quite multitalented young artist, and yes, she won the 2023 Rock Drummer of the Year award recently.
Keep it simple. Just go and listen/watch the Teatro Metropolitan show from Aug of 2022. They are 24, 22, and 19 now. They all have matured wonderfully. The vocals are outstanding and harmonies are amazing. One more thing.....Welcome to the addiction.
Teatro Metropolitan CDMX is a fantastic pro shot, pro audio concert. Pick any song, or the whole show one song at a time and 2 things will happen. 1. We (TWA) WILL be here to watch with you. 2. Your head WILL explode at some point! With 2 E.P.'S and coming up on their 4th full length album, they have never written a bad song. Its honestly kinda scary how amazing these ladies are. And they are three of the most humble and sweet humans around. You'll find that there is one thing we (TWA) love as much as we love these girls, and that is watching someone else fall down this rabbit hole. Great reaction and I look forward to where ever this journey takes you next brutha!
I absolutely love watching someone fall down the rabbit hole. I've been down here for three years and the only nourishment I need is MORE of the Warning.
I mentioned it some time ago, but as a drummer yourself I think "23", "Dust to Dust" or "Narcisista" may be even more interesting to you 😄 But as mentioned elsewhere (likely): anything from the Metropolitan Teatro 2022 concert is golden.
You said it perfectly. Just wet is needed for the SONG. No showing off. No diva crap. Only what is needed for the groove. The sisters are so much smarter than people give them credit for.. They create their own gravity that you can’t resist. Even a video can choke you up. Wind you up. Hype you up, And always leave you smiling. There has never been a band like The Warning. I’ve seen it all since 1960. The rock bar has been raised, I dare anyone to look away.
Ale's bass and Dany's custom Fender Baritone are both in Drop-A tuning... i believe both also have fuzz pedals applied... such a fantastically deep soul rending sound! 🤯 it has been stuck in my head since it debuted... several times a day, every day... oh yeah! 😹 TWA ⚡🤘😸🤘⚡ TWA
This is the best live band I've ever experienced. Everything from the Teatro Metropolitan show is spectacular but I would suggest Disciple. or the live version of Hell you call a Dream which is a little more recent. I've been listening to live music for over 50 years, and no band has captured my attention like these amazing young women. When they get on stage, magic happens.
Just start the Teatro Metropolitan concert from August 2022. From start to finish you get the sense of how good they are live. The Warning Army will follow you in your discovery of this live show.
One of best live bands in the world right now. Teatro Metropolitan concert is their best filmed show and one of best by any band this decade. Their MTV performance of Evolve is standout. As others have mentioned, their new song Hell You Call a Dream is great live in front of their biggest headline audience to date. I'm going to see them tomorrow night in Paris and Friday in Amsterdam. Yahoo!
Sticking to official releases, HYCAD (Hell You Call A Dream) at the Pepsi Center CDMX and the MTV VMA version of Evolve (which makes other reactors jaws drop and their eyes bulge - no spoilers, please) are the other up-to-date high points. Then there are a plethora of great steps along the way. The entire Teatro Metropolitan CDMX show, in order, is stunning.
That is one of the characteristics of TW, they play just what is necessary to create pieces of art. With its structure, its breaks, transitions, rhythm changes, modulations, choruses, pre-choruses, drum attacks, its endings… The great beauty of their art is in its simplicity but all this always seems to be at the right time and in the right way, bordering on perfection and predominating sophistication. Each of its pieces can be very different, but always with all the TW flavor. It’s very clear that these sisters have no limits. They have that gift that only belongs to the geniuses that appear among us every certain long period of time. They are the queens of the hook, the riff, the contagious rhythms, the catchy melodies, the sublime vocals, the unbeatable harmonies and the ambiguous but deep and powerful messages. And this happens song after song... INCREDIBLE!! The new rock masters: The Warning. Thanks and greetings from México!! 🇲🇽 🤘😁✌️
They're just awesome. And I'm going to see them in Cardiff on the 26th! Matt - check out 'Evolve' live at the VMAs 2023 - one of the finest performances of anything ever by anyone.
Nirvana-Muse blend is such a good reference. The Warning is the best rock band going right now. No extra labels or a specializations needed. Just. Rock.
They were on an episode of Ellen when they were really young. They were also invited twice to "Ted Talk" University of Nevada in 2016 & 2017. The 2023 MTV VMA's, they performed two songs, "More" and "Evolve," both awesome! These ladies never disappoint!! ⚡️THE WARNING⚡️
The extended clip at the VMAs where the backstage crew were applauding them, and wondering what they just saw, made we weep with pride. And it was only the second time I had seen or heard them. They have 'it'.
Their VMA performances were full-tilt, take-no-prisoners bad-assery at its finest. They left the crowd stunned and quite possibly created a few platoons-worth of recruits of The Warning Army.
This video was released 3 days before the Eclipse.. Was it just luck or brilliant timing? I'm gonna say brilliant.. The Warning "live" is their superpower.. 💥🌔🌓🌖💥
The Teatro Metropolitan show from 2022 has 21 great live versions of their songs. The audio and lighting from this show is outstanding! Check it out for the ultimate live version of their last album. New album debuts on June 28.
A couple of must see lives before you go back to follow their musical journey: Evolve - live at the MTV VMA's and Hell You CAll A Dream - live at the Pepsi Centre.
If you want Live, you are in luck. The entire Teatro Metropolitan CDMX is available here on this platform. You can react to the entire concert one or two songs at a time. Excellent sound and production quality. I would steer clear of the fan made videos as the sound quality is subpar.
One of the things I really like the Warning is that they do play for the song. Dani can absolutely shred, but she keeps it to something appropriate to to the song. There is a video of their entire concert at the Teatro Metropolitan in Mexico City from 2022. I would suggest to pick one of these: the cover of "Enter Sandman", "Dust to Dust", "Error", "Narcicista", "Martiro", and "Evolve". They don't do a bad song.
Greetings from México and The Warning Army. You just entered the best musical journey you never know existed. Happy to go on with you. AND BIG Steelers following here too. 🖤💛
Thx! 🙏 Great reaction. For live videos check out the Teatro Metropolitan CDMX show, the MTV VMA video’s or the Hell You Call A Dream live from The Pepsi Center. Also worth checking is the live performance of their 2nd album Queen Of The Murder Scene. It’s a concept album and is best listened to in the right order. Mind blowing album. 🤯🥰 Grtz from The Netherlands
Their second album QOTMS is a gem!!!! Their Lunario concert when they released the album is a right of passage for everyone. Can't wait to hear it with you! Great reaction
“There’s something beautiful about simplicity.” EXACTLY! You’re going to love where they’re taking you. Next, He’ll You Call A Dream live at the Pepsi Center.
I recommend their 2 TedX Talks from 2016 and 2017. They play live and speak a little bit about themselves and they were still super young (15, 13 and 11 in the 1st one)
This is the point that many of us long time member of TWA realized we were witnessing the birth of something special. Personally I prefer the 2017 TEDx Talk, but both are important landmarks for The Warning.
Friend, you have been warned. It wojld ne cool to see your reaction to their cover of Enter Sandman they played live at Teatro Metropolitan CDMX in august 2022. It will not disappoint you. Welcome to the rabit hole that is discovering The Warning discography.
Dany says: "It's about missing someone and the energy this person gives you. You're drawn into their gravitational pull and brightness - like an automatic sun." The video was put together in one week. They shot it at Tecate Pa’l Norte in Monterrey on March 31st. The video team is led by Beto Ramos, Pau’s drum teacher, and Iván Chávez, recent graduate of the University of Monterrey film school. The team they lead is top notch. Their first major TW video was the Metropolitan concert. Dan Lancaster is listed in the credits as a co-producer of the song, a lyrics contributor and providing keyboards. Dan was a touring keyboardist for Muse.
Over 200 comments in less than a day means you stumbled onto TWA fan base. Get your flashlights charged, pack the MRE's, and bring extra rope. This is one of the deepest rabbit holes on all of TH-cam. Prepare yourself, this really is life changing. Enjoy the ride, it's a thrill unlike any other. ⚡
Great reaction, you hit the nail in the head in that TW will play only what is needed for a song. So far they have never overplayed their instruments in any song, they are not about that.
I just saw them live in Milan (Italy), after a four-year wait and a 13-hour round trip. Their performance was absolutely amazing (I was sure) and I'll see them again in Bologna in July, can't wait! I'm almost 50 years old and I've listened to and seen many historical bands in concert, but none of them has ever fascinated me as much as the Villareal sisters. Their history, the genuine and gentle ways, the energy they bring to the stage, their vocal, instrumental and writing skills, the loving and constant interaction with fans, all these factors put together make them, in my humble opinion, something never seen before. In Milan there were people of all ages, also some kids having a blast (one just behind me with parents), this made me realise that 'our' girls are already beyond the niche of fans, they're rewriting music history, I'm absolutely convinced of that. Welcome to the rabbit hole TECK, you have been warned! 😜🤘⚡
@@davesheville2023 I find this counterpoint fascinating. For some reason, a vote by fans that are likely interested in drumming if not enthusiasts themselves is somewhat a lesser recognition? Would a voting by so called “drumming experts” be more fair and unbiased? Who could say for sure? Secondly, didn’t all the other drummers have fans too? And, likely, don’t a number of them have massively larger fan bases to draw on? Thirdly, who largely determines all-stars in sports leagues, the Billboard Hot 100, the top TH-cam creators, the best places to eat, the best movies to watch..the best music bands? Some arbitrary, often not unbiased, select expert group, or the actual consumers? Lastly, and to me the biggest question: what defines “best drummer”? Virtuosity, speed, technical expertise alone? Or does the level of impact a drummer has on the overall performance matter as well, if not more? Is it just confined to the physical technique or include other performance aspects such as stage presence, energy, singing and songwriting? For me, when it comes to artistic value and performance, I would rather trust the judgment of myself and other fans rather than appointed “experts”.
@@RipThru Trying to keep it shortish: 1) a fan vote is great, no problem with that. It’s just when they flood a voting opportunity and then start claiming that their favourite drummer is actually a better player than the others, it’s ridiculous and actually an insult to some very high class drummers. A panel of drummers voting would have had very different results 2) sure they have fans, but probably not the types who get caught up in hype. Their fan bases weren’t going around to their videos and telling everyone to vote. 3) determining a highly skilled drummer versus an average drummer takes people who actually know what they are talking about. If the general public are voting, then it’s really about their “favourite” and shouldn’t be confused with “best” . 4) there is no “best” drummer. There are so many fantastic players who possess all the attributes from technical skill, writing skills, performance skills etc. And many of them are so different that it’s pointless comparing them. Having said that, there are drummers that are simply better than others who cover everything and more that another drummer can. Paulina simply isn’t in the same league as many others. Does that mean she’s a bad drummer? Of course not. But the idea that she’s a better drummer than someone like Josh Freese who has had the type of career that many would kill to have, and he’s been doing it longer than Paulina has been alive, is absurd. One of my all time favourite drummers is Rob Hirst from Midnight Oil - his energy and vocals are amazing and he’s a decent guitarist, a great songwriter and lyricist. Is he one of the “best drummers in the world?” No. And as a drummer myself, it would be crazy to claim that he was. Unfortunately many people are blinded by all the hype and make ridiculous claims. You can bet Paulina wouldn’t think she was one of the “best drummers” going around, and that’s because she would actually know a lot about it.
The girls have become one of the best live acts in the world opening up for world class acts like Muse and Halestorm and headlining on their own tours - the youngest, shortest bassist, that you saw using the half sized bass guitar back in the Enter Sandman video, now is still the youngest but is also now the tallest of the sisters - I can foresee them being a headliner in 2024 tours around the world
This year (2024), Dani is 24, Pau is 22 and Ale is 19. However, regardless of how young they still are (and being a great grandfather they will always seem very young to me), they've been doing this for a little more than a decade now, and it shows.
It’s funny. I dropped into the comments and realized that @mykemech had just commented basically the same thing I was thinking. I will add that the reason why I believe you should react to their song “Hell You Call a Dream” next is that I think it’s the best song they have released thus far and you can listen to it on your playlist without having to wait while you react to their catalog. Which by the way is all great. I’m enjoying your reactions so cheers and a new sub from West Texas!🇲🇽🇨🇱🤘🏻😎
You should definitely check out their MTV VMA's performances and anything from their Teatro Metropolitan concert that was professionally recorded. Maybe check out their updated version of Enter Sandman?
Automatic Sun video was released the Friday before the eclipse and the PAL Norte footage was filmed just 4 days before the video release. When I was in the crowd I did not know they were filming for this video. However, looking back, there were signs - they had 3 drones and at one point the production manager came on stage and grabbed the camera man filming Dany by the waist and moved the camera man back by 8 inches.
Such a great story! I await your discovery of Pau (the drummer) taking lead vocals and/or sitting at a piano. She's a total performer. Muse asked The Warning to open for them while in Mexico last year and there are great stories about that. That was followed by Muse asking them to come to the UK to play a few festival shows. Finally, check out 'You've been warned'. It captures them along the way during the growing up process. Love your reactions!
I think it was Miles Davis who said - why play more notes when 3 is sufficient. I maybe wrong though. Listeners nowadays have forgotten that to not play an extra note is as important in musicality of a song. Had Ale gone on a bass run during her mono note breakdown in the middle, all effect of contrast & effort to involve the crowd would have been lost. There were so many instances where Pau could have opted for extra touches on her kit. But she didn't; knowing fully well that would have distracted listeners. Probably from the mid 80s, instrumentation got prioritized over lyrics. Songs became a showpiece of ego fueled solos that had no bearing with the lyrics. And people thought that epitomized technical skill. No wonder rock got unpopular. Decades ago Kenny Rogers famously sang - "You've got to know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em, Know when to walk away, know when to run". Similarly to perfectly judge the exact amount of instrumentation in a song is the most coveted skill in songwriting. The Beatles had it in spades. So do The Warning. After a long time in rock a band is saying something substantial through their insightful lyrics. After a long time a rock group has brought back the balance between words & instrumentation in a song. Recently McCartney was queried about the secret to his legendary success. He said "I kept it simple". Less is more as a philosophy has been defenestrated in today's scenario of show over substance. Thankfully The Warning are bringing it back through their subtle & intelligent songwriting. We should never forget that there is beauty in simplicity too.
You being a drummer, you should check out dust to dust or 23 from teatro metropolitan Also their best stuff is always live and they have a good production behind the scenes, they have pro shot many concerts
Hell You Call a Dream live from Pepsi Center CDMX next then suggest Dust to Dust and 23 live from Teatro Metropolitan CDMX to see drummer Pau singing lead while playing! 😎👍
That is one heck of a jump, from The Warning's beginnings to their very latest! I do like the description of Nirvana + Muse, although the drop A tuning reminds some of us of Korn a bit - and I love it! If you want to jump back to The Warning's earliest days AND live concert - check out their school concert (Liceo) and specifically Free Falling, the first song that all 3 sisters wrote together. Or check out their TEDx talks in 2016 and/or 2017 for early days, live. Or if you want a recent, incredible, live performance then Evolve at the MTV VMAs is top notch in every category. If you want to be stunned then I recommend The Warning's Dust to Dust, you'll know why within 15 seconds....
Your the first reactor to mention the play above the fret board, I love the sound it makes. These young ladies are doing exactly what they were born to do.
This song is freaking awesome !!!!! I am a new fan, or recrute (Warning Army), but I am already hunting down their physical media to listen over and over again, and yes... I have preordered their newest album to !!!! PS: Pau (Paulina) is one of my favorite drummers right now, her energy and her bright smile is infectious and just bloody adorable ❤. I Have Been Warned 🤘⚡🤘.
If you want to see recent live performance go check out the Teatro Metropolitan CDMX. Start from the beginning and you’ll notice you just want to hear the next song and the next and the next! Been a metal head since the early eighties. My first real rabbit hole was Metallica with Kill ‘m All. Hooked forever. Never again I had that with another band….until I discover this power trio! You’ve been Warned!
Glad you chose to dive into this awesome band. Yes they grew up, lol. 10 years later, now 24, 22, and 19. Yes , studio audio over live video. Song dropped Friday April 5, the video was recorded the weekend before, less than a week turnaround to release. I think they wanted it out in time for the North American eclipse on the 8th. On the upcoming 4th album, Keep Me Fed, out June 28. Dany has a new baritone Fender Strat with fuzz pedal, that and Ale's Specter 5 string bass are tuned to drop A. Love the strums up at the headstock. Great visual effects too. You mentioned Muse, they are one of the girls favorite bands, so definitely influenced by them. Great stage presence, Lzzy Hale has said that they are fierce, and they attack the audience. You want The Warning live-- "Evolve" at the mtv video music awards 2023. They excel at live. Also anything from Teatro Metropolitan CDMX 2022, suggest "Disciple" and the reimagined "Enter Sandman"
Nicely done... worth coming back for more. For what it is worth, the Warning describes their studio v/s live sound as trying to make their studio sound like their live so they only use studio sound in videos that are either rushed as I suspect this one was for the eclipse or when they can't use a front of house sound link in their recording. The proshot videos don't use camera sound recording as they are shooting from drones and multiple cameras so they use the front of house feed that comes of the mic's into the house speaker system. As you have already experienced fancams only get their phone sound and they can't get the visual dynamics that a pro shot camera can and so people complain about the sound not being good. Also if a fan is in one spot then you only get to see their view of the stage. If the Warning videographers couldn't access the sound as sent to the festival speakers then this will be the best it can get. Sound is easier to manage in the inside venues like the Pepsi Center and more difficult in the outdoor festivals or huge stadium type shows. They have used studio sound a couple of times because they had to and always note it as the source. Take Care David
Please, do a react for them playing live. Disciple, Evolve (at VMA) or Hell You Call a Dream. Doesn't matter which you pick, you're about to be AMAZED.
That concert has then playing over 20 songs, all of their 3rd album Error as well as songs from their first 2 independent albums. Great audio and video, definitely a must watch, and if you can as reactions, I love seeing people discover The Warning.
Just saw then live in their European tour. Live they are 100% more. Absolute passion, connection with the audience, and pure artistic honesty. You have run into what rock is today. And you have, of course, been warned.
Pretty wild seeing where they started to where they are now, huh? That's why so many people say that they feel proud of them. I think you would enjoy watching "Dust to Dust" live from the 2022 Teatro concert. Pau (the drummer) sings lead in that one and it is amazing watching her breath control singing while she is doing drum fills.
Hey Teck! Variety is their middle name, and Live Performance is their superpower! But, Amazing Songwriting is their secret weapon! Next, "Hell You Call A Dream" from Pepsi Center "Evolve" from MTV VMAs ANY song from Teatro Metropolitan CDMX show. They don't mediocre, or filler tracks. Just Banger after Banger!
Great reaction. Live performances from latest to oldest (in that order) - recent live performances that are pro shot and with great audio are, a song from their upcoming 2024 album Keep Me Fed, 'Hell You Call a Dream' at the Pepsi Center CDMX and their performances of 'Evolve' and 'More' at the 2023 MTV VMAs. The full live concert at Teatro Metropolitan CDMX 2022. Their second album is a concept album and was performed live for the first time in 2018 at Lunario, also in Mexico City. It's a now legendary concert video amongst The Warning Army. Two other legendary live performances prior were Dakota Bar in Monterrey Mexico where they performed there first album XXI Century Blood in 2017 and then prior to that was their performance at their school, Liceo in 2015 where they performed and recored auditions for their entry to Berklee School of Music 2015 and where they also performed their first original compositions from their EP Escape the Mind at the ages of 10, 13 & 15. The girls each performed audition covers that highlighted each of their instruments Dany, guitarist chose Ozzy's 'Crazy Train', Pau the drummer chose Everlong by the Foo Fighters, Ale the bassist chose 'Hysteria' by Muse.
These ladies are the most natural rock stars I think I've ever seen. When you really get a grasp of the scope of their catalogue it's shocking... And they are 24, 22, and 19. they are really just getting started. We are watching legends in the making. The great thing about them is that their stuff is all so unique from one song to the next yet they all sound like The Warning. LAS WAWAS IN THE HOUSE!!!
The warning became our key. Thank you God for bringing them. Simply the best that has happened in decades!!!! They saved the music. And they are wonderful women.
Now that you’ve seen the front and back cover of the book, can’t wait for you to see what’s in between! Live is where these ladies thrive, checkout any and everything from the Teatro Metropolitan performance from 2022. 5K video and outstanding sound quality. Subscribed!
As everyone says. Do the 2017 TEDx Talk in its entirety. 3 great original songs written by teenagers under 17 years of age. Also 2 brief comments from the girls that will melt your heart. It is a TWA favorite.....but then, they ALL are!!
Once again . . . Told ya! Their live performances with live sound are so much better than studio or official music videos. TW is one of those “must see live” bands.
I would recommend a live performance from 2018 when they showcased their second album. Check out "Dust to Dust" from their Lunario CDMX concert when they were 18, 16, and 13 years old. Fun fact: They still play "Dust to Dust" as part of their current headlining set.
favorite things about this song: >that tone 🤤 >the above-the-nut strumming at the beginning 😎 >Pau making us wait extra long for that drop at the end of the bridge, and then coming in on the "up" ... seems like an idea that only a drummer would choose (just to remind you who's _really_ in charge 😅)
HYCAD (Hell You Call A Dream) is a true live release. Amazing!!! And once you've gone through more content watch the full concert at Teatro Metropolitan CDMX to truly see what they are capable of live. You won't regret it. I've probably watched the whole concert over a dozen times. Never gets old. And my mom and dad loved it when we watched it together. 🤘⚡🤘 These musicians never disappoint. Welcome to the rabbit hole. #TWA #TheWarning 🤘⚡🤘
I love your reaction. I literally did the same thing to my cousin. We watched the 2015 Enter Sandman vid from TW cave, the 1 that put them on the map, and he was like " Awe, look how cute! And they really did a great job!" And then we watched Automatic Sun...He didn't say a word until it was over. He said "THAT is the same band?! Play it again!" Yep, he's been Warned!
Thanks for a great reaction video! Man, where to send you next?! So I think if you want to stay more recent "Evolve" from the MTV VMAs last year is excellent, as well as "Dust to Dust" from Teatro, (since you're a drummer I think you'll like). If you want to go back to earlier days their 2nd TEDx from 2017 is outstanding, and you'll get 3 earlier songs in one go as well as some introductions from the girls themselves. Other notables would be the new re-imagining of Enter Sandman from Teatro, Dull Knives from The Cave for the DeTour streaming concert, Martiro from Teatro (in Spanish but one of my personal favs) Narcisista from En Vivo en Foro DiDi, and Free Falling from Liceo is a milestone for the girls, being the first song they wrote together. Also for a taste of their personalities there's their interview with Allison Hagendorf (long but very good), the Tidal Rising documentary, and Mayday in the Making. Whew, and I feel like that's just barely putting a toe in the rabbit hole! Hope you continue on down with the rest of us!
I'll second That 1000%
I concur
An absolute must!
I disagree , this is my all time favorite warning song ! Pau already said that this song is her favorite on the new album and the most challenging on drums !
And it's actually the best one
If you want live, then I have suggestions:
1) Evolve at the MTV Music Video Awards. OR
2) He’ll You Call a Dream at The Pepsi Center CDMX OR
3) Disciple at the Teatro Metropolitan CDMX.
They sound amazing live!
Teatro Metropolian concert has the best sound quality and each song is killer. If you are interested in their gear as of last year, "Gearmasters" channel here on YT has a short video on each of them.
Can't wait to see them (& Band Maid) play live in Tokyo next month! ♥
well said,Teatro Metropolitan, aug '22 EVERY song a WINNER!.. your ride has begun...
Hope so!
Yes we will!! We will be here for all your Warning reactions!! TWA!⚡⚡⚡🤘🤘
I mentioned it some time ago, but as a drummer yourself I think "23", "Dust to Dust" or "Narcisista" may be even more interesting to you 😄 But as mentioned elsewhere (likely): anything from the Metropolitan Teatro 2022 concert is golden.
At age 65, The Warning has become my all time favorite rock band. Can't wait to see them live for my 5th time.
Ditto! I thought Rock had died. These girls have influences from the 80's on up and you can hear it their songs.
Me too, also 65. Unfortunately I'll probably never see them live down here in Oz.
@@shelbyxyzno man, rock never died. There are and always have been a lot of great rock bands. Gotta say, though, that these three really kick arse.
62 here. The Warning and Band-Maid have revived my love for music.
53. All time favorite band.
it has been stuck in my head since it debuted... several times a day, every day... oh yeah! 😹

Thanks for the info!
"My warning playlist has 1 song on it..." One Month later "I found a non-warning song on all of my playlists."
YOU ARE IN FOR A RIDE!!!!!!!!!!!
Great suggestion!
Just start the Teatro Metropolitan concert from August 2022. From start to finish you get the sense of how good they are live. The Warning Army will follow you in your discovery of this live show.
One of the best audio and visual quality concert recordings I’ve seen
CDMX live concert rock the socks off anything out there right now
One of best live bands in the world right now. Yahoo!
I'm so jealous.
🤘⚠️great reaction ⚠️🤘
SUPER POWER TRIO 🤘⚠️🤘
Sticking to official releases, HYCAD (Hell You Call A Dream) at the Pepsi Center CDMX and the MTV VMA version of Evolve (which makes other reactors jaws drop and their eyes bulge - no spoilers, please) are the other up-to-date high points. Then there are a plethora of great steps along the way. The entire Teatro Metropolitan CDMX show, in order, is stunning.
That is one of the characteristics of TW, they play just what is necessary to create pieces of art.
With its structure, its breaks, transitions, rhythm changes, modulations, choruses, pre-choruses, drum attacks, its endings…
The great beauty of their art is in its simplicity but all this always seems to be at the right time and in the right way, bordering on perfection and predominating sophistication.
The new rock masters:
The Warning.
Thanks and greetings from México!! 🇲🇽
🤘😁✌️
The Warning have been big fans of Muse since they were kids. Last year, they toured with Muse in Mexico and UK.
Dan Lancaster, the keyboard player for Muse, is also a co-writer and co-producer on this track.
That's how I found them. Muse in Monterrey Mexico. Check out the MTV VMA live performances !
Both!
21st Century Blood official music video and Dust To Dust(live) is then next step.
The Teatro Metropolitan show from 2022 has 21 great live versions of their songs. The audio and lighting from this show is outstanding! Check it out for the ultimate live version of their last album. New album debuts on June 28.
Another Banger from The Warning! I love the drum fills in this one!!
Thanks for listening
A couple of must see lives before you go back to follow their musical journey: Evolve - live at the MTV VMA's and Hell You CAll A Dream - live at the Pepsi Centre.
I'll second this one, yes, catch both live performances before you go back in time.
I second too!!! 😊🎶⚡️
If you want Live, you are in luck. The entire Teatro Metropolitan CDMX is available here on this platform. You can react to the entire concert one or two songs at a time. Excellent sound and production quality. I would steer clear of the fan made videos as the sound quality is subpar.
Cool, thanks!
Dude, you got to try Evolve live from the MTV VMAs. This was their best performance IMO.
… except they have a LOT of best performances. 😁
@@torresilk4277So true
I watched a stage preformance coach react to this yesterday. She was blow away.
This really is an exceptional live performance. Along with every song in their 2022 Teatro Metropolitan show.
@@RandallMorelli Yeah 😜
That was something! 🤯
🤘😎👍
Greetings from México and The Warning Army.
You just entered the best musical journey you never know existed.
Happy to go on with you.
AND BIG Steelers following here too. 🖤💛
🖤💛
Grtz from The Netherlands
Thank you. "There is something beautiful about simplicity". I say "Simplicity is unrated". This is The Warning.
We agree!
Gotta check out their collaboration and new cover of Enter Sandman! It is chilling how they change the song and it sounds haunting
That bass tone is NASTY! In all the right ways.
It is, but you may mistake it for the tone of Dany's new baritone guitar.
@@bernardoaguilargt3763 I'm specifically referring to the bass coming in @3:10...it's just sick
🔥🤘😝🤘🔥
Dude! Disciple live at Teatro Metropolitan. You want drums? We've got your freaking drums!
TWA in Da House! Dany lead guitar 24,Pau drums 22,Ale bass 19!
Looking forward to it!
To give you a sample of a live song by The Warning, check out their brand, new song, Hell You Call A Dream, from the Pepsi center in Mexico City CDMX.
A drummer was the only one to talk about her playing above the fret board
Check out the analysis by @Don-music. It’s pretty damn good!
Drummer was awarded"Rock" drummer of the year for2023. Amazing.
Not so amazing when you put it in the correct context - it was a fan vote on drumeo against 5 other drummers
@@davesheville2023 And was also voted best up and coming rock drummer by Modern drummer magazine of 2023
@@SDsailor7 Which was also a fan vote
@@RipThru Trying to keep it shortish:
1) a fan vote is great, no problem with that. It’s just when they flood a voting opportunity and then start claiming that their favourite drummer is actually a better player than the others, it’s ridiculous and actually an insult to some very high class drummers. A panel of drummers voting would have had very different results
2) sure they have fans, but probably not the types who get caught up in hype.
You can bet Paulina wouldn’t think she was one of the “best drummers” going around, and that’s because she would actually know a lot about it.
released 3 days before the eclipse but i think the song was wrote back in 2022. great reaction and welcome to the party my friend.
The girls have become one of the best live acts in the world opening up for world class acts like Muse and Halestorm and headlining on their own tours - the youngest, shortest bassist, that you saw using the half sized bass guitar back in the Enter Sandman video, now is still the youngest but is also now the tallest of the sisters - I can foresee them being a headliner in 2024 tours around the world
MTV VMAs they performed Evolve. I think they are still trying to find the roof they blew off the building that night. Lol
This year (2024), Dani is 24, Pau is 22 and Ale is 19. However, regardless of how young they still are (and being a great grandfather they will always seem very young to me), they've been doing this for a little more than a decade now, and it shows.
Watch “EVOLVE” live at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards. That performance made me a fan!
Live is their Superpower. Any song from Teatro CDMX (2022), Foro Didi (2016) or The Whiskey A GoGo (2017).
Welcome by The Warning Army to the World Rock&Roll Amazingness!!! You're only at the beginning of a journey you'll NEVER forget, trust me!❤❤
“They do what is needed for the song”.
You just described this fantastic band in just 8 words!
Muse asked The Warning to open for them while in Mexico
last year and there are great stories about that.
Decades ago Kenny Rogers famously sang - "You've got to know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em,
Know when to walk away, know when to run".
I love that.
Love it, thanks 👍Pau is always the Highlight for me 😁
Same here!
You being a drummer, you should check out dust to dust or 23 from teatro metropolitan
Also their best stuff is always live and they have a good production behind the scenes, they have pro shot many concerts
Hell You Call a Dream live from Pepsi Center CDMX next then suggest Dust to Dust and 23 live from Teatro Metropolitan CDMX to see drummer Pau singing lead while playing! 😎👍
Six-day turnaround from filming to release in time for the actual eclipse. Choices had to be made.
They made the right ones.
This will be in my head the rest of the day! ❤
Take Care
David
Please, do a react for them playing live. Disciple, Evolve (at VMA) or Hell You Call a Dream. Doesn't matter which you pick, you're about to be AMAZED.
We Love this girls ♥♥♥
I recommend the entire concert at Teatro Metropolitan CDMX.
Next, "Hell You Call A Dream" from Pepsi Center
"Evolve" from MTV VMAs
ANY song from Teatro Metropolitan CDMX show.
They don't mediocre, or filler tracks. Just Banger after Banger!
Their performance of EVOLVE from the MTV Music Awards last year will blow you away.
Trust me brother, you want to watch Evolve next at MTV VMAs
I LOVE THIS BAND !!
✌️💖🎼
Do Evolve from the VMAs
The warning became our key. Thank you God for bringing them. Simply the best that has happened in decades!!!! They saved the music. And they are wonderful women.
This is a once in a generation band period …They are the baddest ladies in the land 🔥🤘
This a great suggestion and only 18 (ish) minutes long, well worth it.
Once again . . . Told ya! Their live performances with live sound are so much better than studio or official music videos. TW is one of those “must see live” bands.
The Warning!! 🔥 🤘
Ok man, you`ll love them. No unnecessary shit, just great melody and shredding. Oh, and you want to see them live... ok...
Pau beats the drums like they owe her money!🎸🤘
I would recommend a live performance from 2018 when they showcased their second album. Check out "Dust to Dust" from their Lunario CDMX concert when they were 18, 16, and 13 years old. Fun fact: They still play "Dust to Dust" as part of their current headlining set.
favorite things about this song:
>that tone 🤤
>the above-the-nut strumming at the beginning 😎
>Pau making us wait extra long for that drop at the end of the bridge, and then coming in on the "up" ... seems like an idea that only a drummer would choose (just to remind you who's _really_ in charge 😅)
These musicians never disappoint. Welcome to the rabbit hole. #TWA #TheWarning 🤘⚡🤘
I'll check it out!
That is awesome!
Yes, the Warning have mastered the art of "simplicity" extremely well. Sometimes less is more.........
