- This is an updated version of a video I uploaded in 2014 where the audio was out of sync. This version fixes that issue plus I've increased the volume level for the mobile phone users.
In this video I do my classic Levi's Jeans hem test. I also test some heavy home deco fabric. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Hello, I’m looking to buy a Heavy Duty sewing machine. I’ll mostly be sewing denim, some leather bottoms but also some thinner materials for shirting from time to time. I’ve been looking into getting the Singer 4452 or the Janome HD1000 & HD3000. Which machine would you suggest purchasing?
Janome HD3000.

Do you have a video for the Singer 4452 walking foot?
I have tested the walking foot. It is needed for fabrics that need to help feeding. I bought a generic walking foot that works on all modern domestic machines. Look for some of my videos when testing jeans hems around 5 to 6 years ago.
Always enjoy your reviews. Have you sewn on a Janome Memory Craft 6300P? If so, whats your opinion? I'ts an older model, amazon had it for $789. Looking for a backup to my Bernina B560, the older one with regular size bobbins. Looking for larger throat space, heavier duty, with zig zag at least. Like the Brother PQ1500 SL and Juki 2010QL but they are straight stitch. My Bernina give me fits on heavier, multi layers applications, etc., otherwise it a great machine.
I would go with the Janome if the Bernina is over twice the price. I've heard from others that the Janome 6000 series are great machines.
Hey, I want to replace my current machine and feeling tied between singer 4423 and janome HD1000, which is more strong and durable in the long run? Does having front/top down bobbin impacting the sewing quality greatly?
The bobbin system in the HD1000 can handle heavier thread. Meanwhile, the Singer has features an important feature that allows you to adjust the pressure on the presser foot. To get this on the Janome you will have to go with the HD3000. If you can afford that machine I would go with it.

No, you will need a Semi-Professional machine like the Brother PQ-1500S or a Sailrite machine. A better option would be a used industrial machine.

What do you prefer to choose? Singer HD or Janome HD?
I prefer the Singer because they included a presser control for the pressure foot. If Janome had included this on the HD 1000 I would have suggested it. You can get this feature on the HD 3000, so if you can afford it I would go with it instead.
@@kevinsews What about Janome 523s? Have you ever heard that? It had full iron between inside & outside. Whereas the singer 4432 HD's framework had the fiber on the outside. Still confused about choosing the best machine from these 2 (Janome or Singer)
I mean, I wanna choose the machine for a long term use.. 😅
