- Modern Horizons 3 is now out, and so let's; see some of the cards that have skyrocketed in price due to their play across a variety of formats. A lot of these new cards have found homes in formats like modern and commander and are worth more than people first thought.

Pulled a foil Ral in prerelease and was so disappointed. Not too upset anymore

@@victimizeakaboomsta8995 I wasn’t upset, just disappointed. I guess I shouldn’t have said upset. At the time he was just seen as the second worst flip walker. I really don’t like red to begin with as well, so it felt like a wasted foil pull.
How ironic that due to ral being played a lot, the cards price "stormed off"
I got 3 phlage in my pre-order draft box. Regular, foil and alternate art. Then got lucky pulled foil kozilek so was pretty happy.
So happy I got my phlage playset prerelease weekend!

I actually pulled a phlage borderless foil a while back and now its worth about 45$. I just traded it and 4 other cards for a ulamog

Grist is really hard to pull off but if they find a deck that pull off the cost of flipping him, he definitely would

I’ve gotten the kozileks commands and people have bought them from me within a few mins everytime
My prerelease promo was phlage ans for some reason it's cheaper than the normal one

Thank you for this video! I've been stuck on Onyxia for the past month but beat it on my first attempt with your mini's layout. My average level was about 25.2 after putting all of my diamond boosts and boost slot for shaman.

Monsoon is not mono he is blue and red
Ral, Monsoon Mage is mono red. Ral, Leyline Prodigy is blue and red.
Quite frankly if you couldn't tell ral was gonna be good, you're not good at card assessment
I think it more came down to people thinking nothing could bring back Storm. Ral was basically going to either make or break the deck, and we'll Storm is back. First time I think it's been monocoloered as well.
That was my thought I was so confused why everybody was so down on the card it was a baral and grapeshot rapped into one card.
Personally I think I had him as my pick for the 2nd best new flipwalker, and I just remember lots of comments being angry telling me Ral should be last.

@@MTGRecon yeah magic players are just bad at card assessment. Even if we look at commander only rals the best of the cycle by a country mile

If you're still playing Modern, generally why? Like WotC didn't even test MH3 for Modern, they don't care about your format at all.
Personally modern seems really fun since MH3. Deck variety seems way up, although mono red storm is a little crazy right now, I’m excited to see how the meta lands.

Yes they did lol. Mason Clark, who consulted on the set, has straight up said Modern was considered and has been for every Horizons release. Modern is great and MH3 made it better.
