- I know there are a lot of videos where people made power files, but I've needed this tool for a long time, so I thought I'd show you my version.

FYI, in the states, when we grind the roller on each end so the belt tracks better, we call that roller a Crowned Roller. Great video. I'm going to borrow your design. It's so much easier.

Makita already makes a 1" electric belt sander,we've been using it in the glass fabrication business for several decades. I use mine restoring vintage Kawasaki bikes in my garage all the time. Runs on 110v, and is perfect for sanding round stock

Byłem wczoraj w Lidlu i zobaczyłem szlifierkę stołowa własne z przejściówka na taśmowke i pomyślałem sobie a może by tak zrobił takie coś do kątowki a tu taka niespodzianka Majster już to zrobił! Mega odcinek jak tylko czas pozwoli to sobie takie coś zrobię! :D

This is my second time watching this video. Very nice build. I like the utilization of the gas strut in the design. And being able to use various sizes belts is a huge benefit. Well done!

I bought one and it is not even close to being as good as the one you built ,great job .
I'm always mesmerized when watching skilled craftsmen at work. I'm a craftsman myself (woodworker) but metalworkers and mechanics are just amazing to watch. I actually need this tool myself and luckily they sell them cheap at "Biltema" in Norway. Not the same quality it appears your tool is though, but I lack almost every tool needed to transform a grinder into a power file so it's my only real option.

На оригинальном напильнике есть регулировка наклона ролика, для центровки ленты, х.з. как оно будет работать без нее.

I've fitted the same Makita battery angle grinder with a chain saw mod. It works great, low noise and who doesn't want a mini portable chain saw :-)
