This is the type of plane i really like, the thought of an F-35 going at light-speed with all-guns blazing leaves me cold, but a flying minibus with its own curtains? Yes please! Great video and i'm glad you're recovering
Funny enough I was checking your channel yesterday to see if you had posted a video on the 414 and you hadn't. What a surprise and coincidence to find you posted one today! Thanks for this and I hope your recovery from COVID is both quick and complete. I have settled in on the 414 vs the 310 as my go-to Cessna twin. I enjoy flying it and the support provided by the developer - both in terms of constant updates and interaction on his Discord server - has been excellent.
Just now looking at this video. Great video btw. The 414 is my go to piston engine GA aircraft. The engine sounds alone are worth the price of admission. I also like the fact that the creator keeps it current with updates from time to time.
Sorry that you got ill. I'm glad you are recovering. Yes, this looks similar to the 310, which I have, but it's bigger. I love this plane. I think I have room for both. One plane that you may like is the PA44 Seminole by Carenado. When you stall it, if falls like it suppose to according some videos I've viewed of it by real pilots. I purchased it awhile back and it's very good.
Awesome, I was hoping you would start posting content of the 414!! I think I will be picking the 414 instead of the 310R and I look forward to your comparison, insight and guides.
With that being said, do you guys both feel the same way as of now? I don’t know which one to choose. I like going fast and airport hopping, which would be better? Which one has more features now? Which one sounds better as of now?
Also worth mentioning that if people are tempted, get it now while it's still at the beta price, based on the recent dev streams there will only be 1 or maybe 2 more betas then it will be formally released. That certainly doesn't mean the end of development, FSW are possibly the gold standard for supporting their planes and were releasing updates for their FSX/P3D planes months or even years after release.
nice landing, I noticed under 80kts, this thing drops like a rock. It was a toss up, the 414 or the milviz 310, I went with the 414. My next buy will be the analog King Air. The analog Caravan is fabulous.
Catching up on some older vids, glad you recovered ok. I often wonder how this compares too the Milviz C310? Both seem good although I think the 310 seems to shade it? But often for me the flight charismatics, of course it's a larger version Cessna so more range, height etc but still not sure i can get both and considering which might suit me more? Wonderful video and thanks for the upload as always.
Lovely ! I've never seen that panel (I have a 750), it looks cool ! Just for a laugh I did a ~500nm flight at 11,000' in the Milviz 310 a couple of days ago then to compare I did it immediately at 24,000' in this. Real weather but it didn't change much. This one definitely feels heavier and you seem like you're sitting in a big solid lump of plane and it's certainly got more grunt and is a bit faster. The 310 seemed a lot gentler and the view out of it was better (and more interesting, being so much closer to the ground) but other than that they were surprisingly similar - over the ~500nm flight the 310 was only 20 minutes slower. Bit of a dilemma when you're looking for a touring plane, this is lovely but the 310 gives you a better view, is almost as fast, and there's the whole 'ownership' thing ... I guess I'm lucky to have both so can fly whichever one is easier to get out of the hanger door :-)
Been constantly contemplating what my next module should be, the 414, the 310, its been so annoying with how bloody good they sound, that and the absolute sex appeal those aircraft have. In comparison, how would you compare this to the turbine or even piston duke? In how they feel, physics etc? Many thanks!
Jonathan, would you consider doing a tutorial with the 414AW and TDS Sim GTN750Xi? I am most interested in the TDS Sim settings (used in the standalone app), and a short end-to-end flight with autopilot. I would happily contribute a bit of money to the cause :) Thank you.
Hi Jonathon - to move around the cabin the way you did, are you using the drone camera or is or are there specific keyboard/control mappings built into the aircraft?
are the ends of the prop bent back? is that standard?! 🤯 ...Wasn't sure whether to grab this, but damn it does look nice !! Any idea if it will be available elsewhere? (Sick of managing 30 different downloaders!)
The prop ends appear to be like that, yes. Very odd. I wonder if it's to do with tip velocity? I'm not sure about availability - I bought it from the developer, and I agree - it's a bind, having to visit each developer to see if there are updates - and that not many send out timely email reminders (if any at all).
Welcome back Johnathon, hope the dreaded Covid wasn't too bad for you. Just a question about how you get the outside drone camera to work. I just have a mouse, keyboard on the laptop and joystick for my rig. I can go outside and look around the aircraft, using the mouse right button, but not able to travel around an airport for example. Any tips would be great. Thanks.
You can get to the drone cam by pressing "INS" or insert key usually, then the movement controls will be in control options, under camera>drone camera. you can also access it through the bar at the top, by clicking on the camera logo, and selecting the Showcase tab
@@brandonchappell1535 thanks Brandon, that sounds much better, as I wasn't having any joy with Jonathan's tips with the keys! I will try it out tomorrow, thanks again. 👍

My thoughts exactly
Need more flight hours in this aircraft, just gorgeous to fly ! Best thing, updates coming regurarly :) Always good feedback from developers.

Completely agree - development has never slowed down on the 414.

Always a great compliment to a plane when you bring it back into park it but the temptation to take it back up is too much.
Well done on the video while being under the weather! True passion 👏 This classic is now on my wish list 👌
Hope you enjoy it!
Finally ! Good onya Jon :) Wish you quick recovery ! Thx for sharing your thoughts
Thanks!
Glad to hear your feeling better.
Another one for my hanger ! ❤️ Shoreham ! Happy PPL Memories 👍🙏🏻👨✈️✈️
I might do an invitational a bit later - will see how my head is.

Good choice! - I prefer the 414 over the 310, but there are rumours of a BIG update to the 310 coming.

Excellent review, just saw this aircraft in person recently and saw the fs version but wasnt sure ab buying. Its a must now

Great vid thanks, very helpful as I have just bought it. Love the sound of those engines
Glad you enjoyed it

Yes, love that plane also!
It sounds amazing, doesn't it?
@@jonbeckett my favorit for the time being.!
Now got it in HD. Was not aware it took time for TH-cam to release the HD. Looks like the wallet is going to take another hit.
The vertical mode on the autopilot is odd. I'll have to take a better look at it.
my favorite plan in sim
It is great fun.

since July 2022 they have had updates and now Oct 2022 I will save up me quid for the Dec holidays since this will be the most $$ in my hanger
Hehehe

Is it just me, can only get this in 360 dpi. I'm sure you did'nt record it at that level Jonathan.
He just uploaded it. Takes a while for it to be HD.

Drone camera uses keyboard shortcuts - WASD FD and keypad 2468

@@jonbeckett , thanks!!!
It’s on sale 50% off so I picked it up.
Holy shit, did you spit your guts out with that cough?
I do like this plane, but the BETA has gone on fooooreveeeer. I'm all for bit, but it's got a it ridiculous now.
It's one or two devs though, isn't it. You can't expect miracles.
@@jonbeckett I want asking for them - just not 50 betas.
