So nice of you to bring in a shivering Lucy, and to leave doors open to out buildings on the ranch, so the other deer can go inside to shelter from the weather when it's so cold outside. When I visited my cousin in Great Falls MT, many homes, businesses and restaurants had antlers all over the walls for decorations. One business had all sorts of wild animals for sale that the local taxidermist preserved. In Hayward Wisconsin, someone created many displays of wild animals in glassed in displays that visitors could see. It's interesting to note how different city folk are to country folk.
That's amazing that Lucy will spend the night inside your house. She's such a good girl. She had no problem eating the dog biscuit. She's thinking "I hope my head doesn't end up on that wall". :-) Hope your water comes back soon. Stay warm and safe.
The more you acknowledge and respect the needs/perceptions of absolutely wild wildlife surrounding you, and the more "references" you have that prove you a good neighbor, the more attuned to nature you get& nature becomes more responsive to you as part of their "fraternity", the more likely these opportunities arise..can take generations of experience, but the return of grattitude for your presence rather than the association to handouts is an absolute sign of love, conditional upon their trust and welcoming of you in their life as a source of calming peace & security, they know what to expect from you & can relax. I get to sit down w/my wild deer while bedded down, love slobbering when they get back up! Based just on being respectful to them..🥰 The matriarchal Momma left her little ones w/me this past summer, sign of absolute trust..priceless.. God's creatures see us absolutely for who we are.. experience is very spiritual in a sense, we have to individually learn to see the opportunities to "see God" in our world, & God's..I'm so grateful..I hope everyone else can have the opportunity in some way.. taught me that being @ peace brings peace🙏

I watched Jimmy looking across and around the lake, until he seen Lucy going on the lake. My ❤ was with Jimmy trying to get Lucy back. You could feel the ache in Jimmys
voice . Glad she come back. It would break Jimmys ❤ if he lost miss Lucy. God saves his creatures.

Your house is not a mess it's lived in and there's a lot of love in there and we don't go there to look at your house we go there to listen to you and Jimmy and look at all them beautiful deer you have, especially Miss Lucy and we just love to listen to you and it makes everybody's day you both are angels on this Earth love and prayers from Sutherlin Oregon God bless you both
