Thanks for your interesting review, Sir. I bought this one (longer than a year ago) - but wouldn’t repeat that again. Quality is super, but I have problems with the size/real dimensions/volume. I was actually looking for a „large enough“ backbag/slingback, a bit slimmer for airplane travel. My gripe is that the bag, with its taper to the top is just barely accepting DIN A4 paper or even a slimmer folder without either bending the edges or making it almost extremely hard if not impossible to zip it shut. It’s a very simple but important (to me) requirement that disqualifies the Katara for my business/office use. For a slim EDC bag the Katara might be just great. I just ordered the Javelin and hope it does this job better.
You are welcome, though I imagine the katara would have way to many Organisation Features, too little space, no wet compartment to serve as a really good gym pack.....
Thank you for the great detailed review! Your video gave me the much needed information and feel that helped me with my decision to get this bag! I'm really happy with it and It really is EDC perfection.
Nice review. I have several of there bags. All of them are well made. They’re all on the small side of what there liter capacity claims compared to every bag I’ve ever owned.
👍, it might. If you have a chance to try a Maxpedition or vertx sling pack take it. As I am using slings 80% of the time, the Katara would turn me off slings if it was my only choice.
I wish they would update this backpack. It needs a water bottle holder built in and if they cut the weight by 15% it would be the perfect travel day pack.
Bottle holder conflicts with the design a little. It is supposed to be an option to carry the Katara as a sling pack, where you would need side access to either side of the pack while on the body. A sewed in water bottle holder would be in the way. But at the price point I feel they could include a MOLLE bottle holder that you could attach on whatever side is down when used as a sling.....

Thank you!! You’re the only person with a review who mentions that it does not stand up. Rules this one out for me as a gym bag

You can buy a water holder from them it's under accessories. Not everyone wants a bottle holder so they made it where you can add one or go without.
Yeah my favorite bag!
Thx!
@onebagtravels does this thing where he fills the bags with packing peanuts to “verify capacity. The sizes do seem to be different sometimes.
Good one, need to check that one out. Never had it as obviously off as with this one though.....
Keep it up sir
Thank you, I will
Great 👌🏼
Thanks ✌️
Where are you from my friend ? You sound Rhodesian. 👍
