The fact that there were THIRTEEN 9.975's on bars this week is crazy! Overscoring I'm sure is part of it, but I think it also speaks for the need to really change the requirements for a 10 start value on that event. So many gymnasts getting full credit for doing the bare minimum, while others are doing single bar releases and more difficulty. There needs to be more parity in scores.
What's really frustrating is that they don't need the over-scoring! I have no doubt they will win the NCAA anyway, despite floor being their weaker event..."weak" in that they're not #1 on floor. I thought the over-scoring was behind them.
