" It´s not a bad illustration of you William Blake" Here he finally accepts what he is. Not all is true, but he cannot build a ship to stop the clouds. He accept it, I think in this scene William Blake is complete.
Not quiet understood what he meant was he talking about the falseness and hypocrisy of what he was saying? The Native American's use to refer to Christ as the Great White Buffalo which was a highly revered term.
@@michaelyork6915 Or, a load of shit that was forced down the throats of the natives at gunpoint of many a land, I think that's a more fitting description.
@@anthonywragg2393 Here are the last fourteen lines of William Blake’s “The Everlasting Gospel”: The Vision of Christ that thou dost see Is my Vision’s Greatest Enemy. Thine has a great hook nose like thine; Mine has a snub nose like to mine. Thine is the friend of All Mankind; Mine speaks in parables to the Blind. Thine loves the same world that mine hates; Thy Heaven doors are my Hell Gates. Socrates taught what Melitus Loathd as a Nation’s bitterest Curse; And Caiphas was in his own Mind A benefactor to Mankind. Both read the Bible day & night, But thou readst black where I read white.

I always wondered what he meant when he said this? Was he referring to his false representation of Christ. The Native American use to refer to Christ as " The Great White Buffalo" which was a highly revered term
Nobody was educated in a private christian school (I think it was even London) as a child ....he knew a lot more about scripture than the average christian did.
My favorite scene too. First Molina denies Indy the whip and tries to run off with the idol, and then he denies Nobody tobacco and tries to shoot Blake. Tsk tsk.
In the scene before this one Nobody tells Blake that the blankets at the trading post are infected with disease, causing the death of indians who use them.
This is the greatest movie ever made. There is mountains of meaning and things going on beneath the surface.
Idk about that. It’s a good movie but slow in a few places.
@@loganstolberg2743 The second sentence is right tho, there’s a lot of subtext and deep themes
Yeah it means that life sucks
Gary Farmer is this movie. He is wonderful and a treasure.

yes but what he said was awsome he was truth
sorry if my english is not so good

yes the hypocritical lukewarm Christian. They say the most dangerous thing to a Chrisitan is another Christian as it mentions in revelation.

This is also my favorite scene. Cheers
I bought this at Dollar Tree for 1 $, a great buy! Land of the Blind at $1 there was another!
This is a very good scene indeed.
go free the horses, the best line.

The real Christ would never defend the genocide of the natives

The guy at the door shot 1 time and just stood there waiting to be shot. He even had his right hand in his pocket. 😅
This padre has no fear

What do they mean by a blanket?
It's a veiled threat. Colonizers used to give Native people blankets infected with smallpox and other diseases to kill them off.
In the scene before this one Nobody tells Blake that the blankets at the trading post are infected with disease, causing the death of indians who use them.
Smallpox
