- In today's video we will be taking a look at the Derelict Freighter Salvage base building parts in No Man's Sky.
I will be showing you how to unlock them all, what the items look like and if they're of any use.
Finally I will also be looking at the Emergency Light and the Emergency Heater, which are two of the most useful base building parts.

Better late than never I guess!
Great video as usual! I've been collecting base parts from derelicts recently. I had no idea there were so many and that the heater and lights were actually functional! Can't wait to find those.
Thank you once again! They're pretty cool parts (also like the rest, but unfortunate that you cannot really recolor them)! I've used an Emergency light in the club I created for my Bytebeat video, really gives this party-fog feeling on the dance floor. 😬
good information, thanks for sharing
I did not know about the heater working under water...
It’s not logic to assume so, so I don’t blame you at all hahah!
I didn't realize the freighter parts unlocked 🤦🏾♀️ I really could've used that heater when I was on an extreme cold planet trying to get the milestone smh. Thank you!
The 'survive on foot on Extreme planets' one? I wonder if it would count towards it! Should try to test that!
@@CookingDoor Yes you should definitely test it... for science! 🤓❤️
For science!! 😃
I didn't know that the light/heat radius adjust as you change the size, thanks! I'm still missing a few parts but I think I'll go get them now!
Yeah it's pretty cool, you can hide them or make them part of your structures! Good luck on that! 😃
Love finding youtubers like you, 12/10 vid
A heater can protect you in all environments, even underwater, and in space. I'm pretty sure physicists, and God himself hate whoever created that LMAOOO
Time & again, I keep coming across your videos as the best source of detailed information on the new NMS. Keep up the fantastic work. Thanks. - Sub.
Just put the broadcast receiver in your personal refiner after tuning signal and you can re use it over and over saving units
Are the building parts just in the big blue crates or can they also be in the cases and lockers?
You can put a teleporter on a freighters but not a base computer so how do u teleport to it? U can go out from it though.
So I've completely stripped 4 derelict freighters and haven't found a single building part. Not sure what's up.
Same
Update: Just got the pallet blueprint from a blue crate. Keep trying and keep looking in blue crates!
How do you get the green jelly fish base decoration. I didn't see it in your video, so I'm guessing it's not gained from derelict freighters.
How many parts are there total that you can unlock?
I believe there are 50. The shelves are super useful for making a supply crate farm.
Never received any of these parts, is this a new feature?
Not new, but I believe they weren't in the Desolation update (2.6) from the start but introduced a little later!
EDIT: Added in 2.62: www.nomanssky.com/2020/08/desolation-patch-2-62/
I don't know if you did many, or just some at the beginning?
@@CookingDoor I only done perhaps ten abandoned freighter missions and mainly in the past four or five months. Perhaps I have just been unlucky and not picked up the blueprints.
Hmmm that’s really weird! Like I say in the video: for me it was quite consistent with one to two in each freighter until I had unlocked them all. Maybe try to do one and make sure you 100% interact with everything. Hopefully you’ll unlock a part and if not it may be bugged and you’ll need to contact HG I think..
