    This was a great video! But I feel your little self study is kinda flawed. You can't just back to back compare your matches, because you're also warming up for that session and will naturally play kinda better, so the order counts. Also, it's difficult to factor out just random variation here, maybe you got the maps you were better on in the second hour or maybe your competition was easier. It's possible you unknowingly took the game more seriously too after taking the nootropics. The feeling of clarity you described as well is also hard to distinguish from placebo in my opinion. Don't get me wrong I'm not trying to hammer your video here! (Im studying to be a scientist I can't help it) just starting a conversation. I really enjoy your channel and too share you passion for video games and how to improve in them. I also haven't researched nootropics so you've piqued my interest :)

    • @VIIStardust
      @VIIStardust 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I mean he’s making a fair point. In constructive criticism, the method used is kinda unscientific, seeing as one could clearly reduce irregularities by locking a map, having several matches and spreading it out over several days. I know that that isn’t neccessarily realistic, but it is more certain. as for possible placebo, seeing as it is still somewhat a result of the drug, I would say we can accept that as a result.

    The thing I’ve learned about the brain is you’re only using about 10% of its functions but it still requires your whole brain. My whole theory behind coming limitless is understanding that you are capable of more than you know. Your mind is so powerful and can do way more than we know and if you learn to access these functions then you really do become limitless. It is basically learning how to learn and be fully conscious and connected with everything this is a very deep intricate topic that I can’t really put in a comment this is like a class 😂

    Things to take away: any increase in cognitive performance makes a huge impact. And nootropics do just that: boosting your cognitive performance
    Commentator's note: i am looking for nootropics that you can easily attain, and/or natural nootropics. Also, i assume that nootropics give a temporary boost, but maybe there are long term effects too? I need to make my own research at nootropics
    Also, my comment series are just a nutshell of the video, so i advice you to watch the video when you can. I have to really question how much the placebo effect is taking place. An better experiment would have the gamer given a substance with a placebo than a test performed and than another test where an actual nootropic is given. I would think this would need to be done many times and with many subjects. The key is the gamer doesn't know when the tests are being performed with and without the nootropic. Just a dab of believing you will play better probably would produce a 5% skill gain. I like your videos. Just my thoughts.

      True and eventually they lead a person to commit suicide by blocking all the natural pleasure giving chemicals for insane amount of months. But still suicide, which is no doubt also a solution to all the problems. I must say keep your distance. Im a survivor.

    This is one of the worst videos on your channel, because it strictly promotes untested drugs. I did my research on it, so let me explain.
    1) First of all, nootropics are banned to produce in a lot of countries. This means that you can buy them and use them, but you cant produce them. This leads to people buying them from a "anonymous" people that you know nothing about. You don't know did you buy a nootropic of did you buy just a random white powder.
    2) Second, because of anonymity peopple can produce them in any conditions they want. Obviously the lower your drug costs - the more people will buy it, which leads to terrible conditions where this thing produced. Even if you bought real nootropics there is a big chance that it was made in a some kind of shitty basement somewhere in India or China. Do you really want to feed your body and most importantly brain with product of this kind of quality?
    3) Nootropics don't give you that much advantage, in fact they often do nothing. On top of it nobody really knows what are the cons of using them. This is why it is banned from free production and sale. Just for the info: opium, mescaline, lsd, heroine, extasy, cocaine - once they were free to use and a lot of people through they are safe to use.
    4) eSports tournaments are coming closer and closer to the real sports tournaments, which means that at some point usage of any dope will be banned and players will be tested after the tournaments. If you will be able to play like a god only with nootropics, how will you keep yourself relevant when they will be banned?
    5) A lot of people think that the best nootropic is LSD in a micro portions. We all know that LSD is a drug and it is bad for your brain and it is banned all over the world. Do you really want to test products that are doing the same thing as well known banned drug?
    Basically, after extensive research I realised that it is not worth feeding your brain with things that might kill it over time. I'm against nootropics. If you want to gain same advantages that you could've gotten from NZT or nootropics: eat healthy, start meditating, exercise, use right learning techniques, learn how to control your emotions, find a good coach -, trust me, if you will be able to do these things you will be better than most players.

    That's what you had was an effect of placebo not actually nootropics, if you study more about drugs you will know most of them are actually starting to kick in after a month not after a 10 minutes. Also if you want to be pro gamer in any game you need to access a state of mind like on drugs but without drugs, so in order to do that need to train you breathing to be always calm in meditation, obviously if your pro gamer I bet they have some "people" who can buy them "limitless" drugs such as Adderall, and all that talking about how they doing drug test it's loads of crap, they don't, big corp big event big money, nobody care, they care about money, they are some other drugs which can switch your thinking, if your from eu not from us because adderral you can only get in us without prescription, you can get in EU Citalopram, witch is a type of antidepressant known as a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor, so can effect your brain to be fearless the same way as "speed" but without any sides effects. I'm trying all the time to search for an answer witch bother me all the time how to get to the flow state of "speed" without take in it, and for now the best results it's meditation and breathing exercises, when you start to control to take less oxygen and breath after a 30s when you inhale, you drastically boost your performance, because when your brain have less oxygen perform better.
