This is one sweet little RC buggy. Super tough and affordable plus includes a 2 cell lipo 1100mah for great punch and long run times. Full proportional steering and throttle. Great for kids and even adults can still have some fun.

Great little RC, I used to own a WLToys MT I gave to a young fellow near my place who was interested in starting up in RC Hobbies and he loves it, I missed it so I went out and got another one only this version is brushless. Thanks for sharing that with us.

RC Tanks & Trucks 24/7 is this faster than the 12428 by wltoys because it says they are the same speed but by the look of it, it looks like 12428 might be a bit slower

I've owned this car for the past few years already and one thing I'd highly recommend is to consider getting aluminum center drivershafts, it had a habit to broke off around the mid section area where pinion and spur meets

beef the esc with a 10 dollar goolrc esc and put a Traxxas 12t 550 motor the car will be doing 60+mph then you can run a 3s battery and you will be doing much closer to 100mph.

What upgrades to you recommend to increase the durability of this buggy? Metals gears? Or will it be an continuous changing of plastic parts to keep it running?

Me and 2 friends of mine got it.
My friends' one had the steering shaft broken after a bit of crash & bash but the front wheels toe was already pretty out before of that.
Mine instead has another problem: I've used up the battery as the instruction manual say. Then I put it on charge and expected the red flashing light to become fixed, or go off, something to tell it's all charghed up. Nothing happened, it kept flashing. So after some hours I've unplugged it nonetheless. But it wouldn't move, looked like the battery was flat.
Seems like it doesn't charge. First time I use it! What do you think? It's the charger? It's the battery? Can I find spare parts?

Mine was Dead after 5 minutes! I didn't even have a chance to charge the battery.
The owners manual says completely deplete battery before charging. So I put it in the car and took it for a Rip.
I drove it at work in the parking lot. No different than its hows on the Video.
Within 3 minutes the car just stopped. I thought that the battery was dead.. but when I got it in my hands.. I gave it some throttle.. and it only pulsed.. Once again I thought it was a low battery issue.
I charged the battery and next day on coffee at work decided to have some fun. Ya.. so much for that!
Turns out the gears were stripped! At first the wheels would not turn.. as I held the car.. The motor kept trying.. but nothing.. So I rotated all the wheels.. and gave it some throttle again..Nothing.. So I went full throttle.. what I heard was every Mechanics worst nightmare. What I heard was the gears grinding. They were stripped! I havent taken it apart yet.. but I think its just at the motor to the Drive.
Sure I only paid a low amount for this RC. Thats not the point.. I work hard for my money as everyone else does that buys this RC . No way should it CRAP OUT after 5 min. Before I even charged the battery once!
the is a tip for your car as its a cheap china brand so it isnt very high quality: dont run the thing on full speed for a long time and do a regular check up on the car you cant udgrade it and its really recommended to

I started having problems with the rechargeable battery
One cell heats up more than the other and gives lower voltage and run time
I took off the plastic cover , everything looks fine but is saw that the connections were a bit like burned from one cell that one that wasn't heating up or not used I cleared up some stuff around there and now I'm charching it

Q: When I plug in my battery to charge... both the Red and Green lights on the charger are on. Will the Red Charging light go off when its done, Or is it already charged?
I read that you should discharge the battery before charging, so I ran the insane fast thing around for about 5 min. It completely stopped at one point. Thought I killed the battery.. but the LED was still on next the the on/off switch on the buggy. Yet it had no more go.
did you run the buggy on full speed for a long time? and for the battery the red light SHOULD go off or turn green as well and i heard the most it can last is 10-15 minutes not that amazing but i think battery is udgradeble unless the most is you buy 2-3 more batterys for a longer playtime

I have got one of them cuple days ago they are realey awsome and powerfoul rc`s onley problem is with the body clipps they atend to strech in time and im a fraid it wont do its job.
Question not sure if thats how they come or maybe an issue with the one i received ,but front tires dont look straight,one looks crooked

I've just recieved my A959..and I've noticed it has 2 black shock absorber springs only on the back shocks but none on the front..why is that and should i take 1 each and and don't them to the front shocks?

GobleGoble you just need the motor the bigger pinion gear that comes the a979-B and the motor seat for the a979-B

i think its the gears cause if you udgrade the motor first it may ruin the gears
John Medley you burn through the plastic gears quick. You should get the metal spur and pinion gear first.

i bought a wltoys a959b, what pile, right out of the box the front end alignment is so bad that the front wheels are pointing in different directions and there's no turn buckles so nothing is adjustable so there's no way to correct the problem, the shocks are so cheap that 3 out of the 4 of them only have half the their travel because they bind, and the pinion and drive gear can't be sealed so even driving on cement every little pebble you run over bounces up between the gears and locks up the drive-line which requires a major dismantling to clear the gears. what good is an off road buggy that can't be driven in dirt and trying to return something to these online Chinese companies for a refund is a joke. if you want a little rc spend a little more $ and get something like the ZD Racing brushless 1/16 scale truggy...

i have one but mine have a problem i think even if i charge it it still drives slow does anyoen know what may be the problem. btw it also drive backwards faster
Hi how long did you have yours before it had that problem? It must be the motor. Mine had that similar problem after using it for 5 months, when i pried open the motor the copper brushes are worn out and barely touching the armature. That's the problem with brushed motors, They wear out. i didn't have money to buy a brush less motor, so i just replaced it with a new one.

Oh yeah, since I am big into drones I'm thinking about shoving a flight controller on this little thing and making it a rover. Like with fpv camera, osd, gps, telemetry, etc... I'll get back to you on that ;D
