I build custom enclosures and my only recommendation is getting custom seat risers at least 1.5 inches. because as I see it, the surrounds are hitting the bottom of the seats and stifling the movement of the cone and can cause serious damage
jorge pizarro Yep, i build custom enclosures too my buddy had a prefab in his single cab with 2 type r 12s and they hit the back of the seat and then they blew and the cone separated from the surround
seems to have enough clearance under the box to the floor, to accommodate the excursion, if down firing. that would give a lot more height under the seat to give more volume to the enclosure. coudl move more air.

@@musclecarsdaily3020 Most pre-fab down firing boxes have the subs spaced far enough off the floor to allow for woofer excursion. The only time you would have an issue is with high excursion woofers (over 20mm xmax). Or a custom built box where excursion wasn't correctly factored into the design.

Sounds like you need to find a box that’s triple sealed. Which I’m assuming you haven’t? It will have epoxy on the inside 4” plywood screws and 6” screws and should be using pinewood for the box. That’s the best luck I’ve had
@@wbhotboybg yes & it broke also, I’ve had the green fiberglass also. I’ve tried everything except custom. The under seat doesn’t hold real power (2,000rms or more). 🔊

Ported would probably mean less con area to be optimal with the air space as ported boxes are bigger. I would suggest two ports coming from each end of the box out the sides and build the rest like a sealed box. Seen a few do it this way or a single port on one side.
A big thing is the fact that it’s ported vs sealed, more air is being moved , but if you do run sealed, I recommend running some poly fill as insulation creating a much smoother sound
Don’t knock 10s or the vd subs! I had the vd 12s in a kicker ported box for comp r subs. Those vd subs sounded just as good if not better and hit a little harder... kicker subs are good. Just thought the Skar’s were cool cuz they were shallow and only 500 rms compared to the 800 for kicker. Sold the Skar set up on the first demo... guy was thinking half that much bass for the money

E.A Pokemon channe l It’s called mona lisa
anyone know the first song?
What battery would you recommend as a main battery when running audio? I’m doing 2 sundown sa 10s with a jp 2300 amp. I will end up upgrading to 2 batteries and big 3 and alternator if needed. But as of right now just needing to put one good main battery what would you recommend my truck calls for group 34
Definitely do the big 3 and I suggest this amzn.to/3A4yudc xs d3400 group 34. Will help a lot for voltage and reserve under the hood and swap from your current.
@@JacobViral I appreciate it. Been recommended that by several people. I’m getting the box tuned with 1 port under the seat tuned to 30hz facing towards the front/driver
@@JacobViral i ordered everything to do big three I’ve done that before. Where would you recommend me putting my ground for the amp? I’m using skar audio 1/0 ofc wiring kit so it only comes with like a 3ft ground
@@nathanwhite8931 usually back 2nd battery ground post but for temporary to a solid metal frame location grinding down with no paint.
Can it fit skar 1,600 watt have big
Magnet
Where can I get this box for my Dodge Ram
Something like this: amzn.to/3sN9Ozz
Its at fox acoustic its a little pricey but I feel its worth it. The one I have came with spacers to raise the rear seat. Hits HARD.
So I have a fox box and I want to sell it with the amp and everything. What should I sell it for?
What sub and amps do you have? Condition? Send me pics on fb/Instagram JacobViral and maybe I could help more.
@@JacobViral 2 10s and I forgot the amp
50-60% new price margin
I have a 2012 ram and I’m seeking ideas on how to do mine. Yours is 🔥🔥🔥🔥 plus it sounds good. That’s what I’m looking for
I have this same box with two SKAR SDR 10’s being pushed by Hifonic Brutus 2000 @ 1 ohm. It slaps but no hair tricks😂🤷♂️
@@theurbanartist775 Where do you get the box? I have a 2017.
Also a little advice, don’t buy anything that’s not ported. I’ve had every possible pre-fab box for the Rams and Fox Box has been the best
@@theurbanartist775 u must not understand the difference between ported and sealed 💀
If you want your shit to knock HARD then you need 2 12s not 10s trust

He got warrants 🤣
I have the exact same subs in my Ram and I can’t seem to find a box that will hold up. I’ve went through 3 boxes and currently have a fiberglass which has separated from the bottom. I’m thinking maybe a console is the only thing that will hold up. Trust me as time goes on you will see🤔
Sounds like you need to find a box that’s triple sealed. Which I’m assuming you haven’t? It will have epoxy on the inside 4” plywood screws and 6” screws and should be using pinewood for the box. That’s the best luck I’ve had
@@wyatt_7395 can you upload a video?
You had a fox box?
@@wbhotboybg yes & it broke also, I’ve had the green fiberglass also. I’ve tried everything except custom. The under seat doesn’t hold real power (2,000rms or more). 🔊
Thats A nice budget build, All He needs a the Kx and get rid of that Cx... and that box is on point, with the cup holders
JOSUÉ Nothing wrong with the cx, kx are better but cx still better than both lines of budget skar amps
crazy coop yes sir I'm only saying that because I've always gotten the kx and it is they're top of the line amp..
JOSUÉ I got a kx too, the 2400.1 its a beast I love it!
Hopefully you talking about the skar sk and lp line??
Charles Walker no Im talking about the lp and rp line, sk line is korean made and the highest quality line from skar
NICE VID BRO!!!
Is this pre shrink wrap era or that guy is happy with the sloppy work
What is the name of this song?
I was wondering the same thing.
If anyone can help me out figure what to put in a single cab dodge lmk cause I got 3 10s and want louder but idk what to do 😂
Take half the rear seat out and put a box there. To get bass, gotta sacrifice space
At my shop we call it a 40 side, cuz we take the folding 60/40 bench seat, take out the 40, build a box. Did two type r 12s on a 600 watt amp, facing back and port to the passenger door for loading. It was a monster. Done 2 jl 15s in one. Did L7s in another. Did some w7s in one as well.
Sorry just ready single cab lel
Nice that box is making those sub sound solid clean Bass. I would get another kicker CX 1200.1 and put another amp 2 have one for each sub. Probably the best decision you made by getting that box.
Where did you get your box
Similar to this amzn.to/3lWtxtV or lookup truck sub box
where they are located
Rincon Georgia
Wear did u order box from?
He got at a local shop but this is similar amzn.to/39GQ6Rg
I have the Skar vd10 as well and they keep breaking my boxes
Thinking about switching from 2 10 jlaudio w1 under my rear seat in my f15p for these in a downfire config. On a 500 watt jl slash amp. I had w6s so i want something that sounds good for rock and stuff but yet hits hard when i wanna drop a beat
@@avengethis97 your w6 didn’t hit hard enough and sound good on rock music? I have 2 w610 subs in my truck and 1 w612 in my suv. Must be the box or something but that 1 12” subs is amazing and the 2 10” subs are like blah
Idk i think w7 coming went wolfram aw 1500.1 and 125.4 for amps
@@avengethis97 I have the w612 on a Audiocontrol lc1.800 and the w610’s on a JL 1000/1. I just pulled out the 1000/1 and out in a Sundown SBF 3000.1.
The JL amp is huge and doesn’t provide enough power after box rise.
What Skar subs are those?
Vd 10s
Little 10s puttiing in work fuck yeah push that shit bro 😎😃😈😲😲
What company built your box?
it’s a fox box
Good song
What’s the song
That's a best buy set up for sure.
How so
Hi, what series are the speakers ? Thanks, and nice video. ...
It’s in the description
Nice setup
What’s the name of this song
“Mona Lisa” Lil Wayne
Grinding
600 watts to each?
Around there yea. Thanks for watching and Subscribing cobra.
What deep is they fit 10s xfl
Great footage Jacob I have some VD 10s in 97 Silverado but need another box mines is down firing but have block of wood in the center under box to keep subs off the floor and it’s a sealed box I love ported any ideas from the comment section would be greatly appreciated I want some slam in this truck .❤️
Ported would probably mean less con area to be optimal with the air space as ported boxes are bigger. I would suggest two ports coming from each end of the box out the sides and build the rest like a sealed box. Seen a few do it this way or a single port on one side.
Does 2 10s really hit that hard??
Skar and sound stream yes
What the first song name
Lil wayne- mona lisa
What’s the key to making a under seat enclosure loud Nd that can be heard coming down the block
Good box design and power
All enclosures I see are simple designs Nd limited on space
remove the seat ... build a giant box with 2 18'S
A big thing is the fact that it’s ported vs sealed, more air is being moved , but if you do run sealed, I recommend running some poly fill as insulation creating a much smoother sound
Jaime Huerta Go with 8s if they can fit and have them facing the front and not up with port to the side
What’s the box tuned at?
Wow and I thought Jake Paul’s music sucked,
Nice set up though 🤙🏼
Sick...
Females sitting in the back: 😳💦
Fr lmao those subs are touching the seats
Id remove those seats altogether or least always keep them up
