I like how they nerfed Shiva just a bit and threw him in early, just to give you that impression of, "this is the crap I'm dealing with now, and it only gets tougher from here." AND TOUGHER IT GETS. Good lord, this is amazing.

This version of the game (BK3) on Very Hard is a cakewalk compared to SOR3 on NORMAL.

Jet....the very bane of my existence. He had 4 bars......4!!! And I had to deal with all his flying sidekicks.
I think when me and my wife played jet maybe had 4-5 life bars and we can barely take out 3 bars before he killed us both with there air grab. It was sort not bare knuckle btw.

Yeah SOR 2 is more club/house electronic, SOR 3 is more trance/drum and bass style.

For the bulldozer, I noticed that if you do your forward forward B move as the bulldozer touches you, it won't hurt you and he'll back up giving you some time to break the walls.

His name is Ash, if u want to play as Ash, after fight press and hold A on the both joysticks, before next level start(hero will use A button in the beginning) after that release and die. Ash will be avaliable to choose in the continue screen.
If u want to play shiva(second boss) just kill him and do the same.
If u want to play cangoroo, u should kill his clown, don't damage the animal.Than the same.

Ah, the SOR3 soundtrack. Comparable soundtracks from the same time period include such classics as "Malfunctioning Fax Machine" and "Dial-Up Internet Connecting."
J Allen It’s not that bad in my opinion. Shinobi Reverse is my favorite track in the game and (for some reason) Crazy Train is my second.

Just a quick info for you, Yasha and Onihime are actually Mona and Lisa from the other games. Some characters may have translated names.
This person made it look really to avoid damage from that rocket/jet boss team, and it very is not. Your timing has to be absolutely impeccable. This video was very impressive but that was by far the most awe-inspiring part

I think I never did the bad ending! This is one of my fav games for the Sega.
The graphical quality, scenarios, and audio (music and some sfx) are better in SOR II than III.
Mai Only the SoR 3 gameplay is better
I dont think the graphics in 2 are better, just different. The gfx in 3 looked rougher
A mixed bag in 3 I think. Some levels had huge sprites (buildings/stores) and then you have the digger chasing you which is another good stage along with the level with the backwards Shinobi music... yea there are a few bad apples - I think it was rushed as some promised features were left out.
Overall though it’s still the best scrolling beat em up series.

In SOR3 on normal difficulty I was able to reach the 5th boss twice without even a single hit by any enemy, but he ultimately would hit me at least once. I played with Axel 99% of the time on a Japanese multi-system (PAL/NTSC) SEGA Mega drive 2 with the 6-button controller. For me, the only boss I can't flawlessly defeat (with no damage taken) with Axel is Jet. He or some of his flying guards will always hit me at least once. However, Jet is very easy to defeat with Zan's standing jump attack (not the offensive one which is very vulnerable since it has a low priority).

THEY GAVE THE BOSSES MUCH MORE HEALTH THAN THEY USED TO HAVE HERE.
Yamato just becomes boring, while Baldy Jet becomes extremely difficult and annoying.

Having used Ash in game play, I can say he does give some of the bosses a run for their money.
Looking at this, you see why the difficulty got a huge spike when it was released internationally.

Try playing the actual SoR3 on hard mode, and finishing the final boss within the time limit using Dr. Zan. His jumping attack makes it a real pain.

When I played this game, I start off with Skate and usually finish with Blaze. For me, the final boss was too easy. Just drop kick to death.
What about the tuxedo agents from Stage 1-Part1? I consider them sub-bosses!

First, second and third boss is secret character U can use them as playable character.

Blaze is a bit broken in some instances. Her blitz attack has some i-frames and can either go through some enemies attacks, or flat out cancel them if timed right. In SOR4 the advantages are even more apparent when you get her SOR3 version.

I didn't have the chance to fight Shiva at round 7. Where did you find him?
You have to run out of time in Stage 6, see the chief still sit there looking as if he died, go through the white house guide, then make it to the speech then you'll fight him. BOOM!!!!

Not bad for the average difficulty setting. Definitely died and took damage through the game stages as the amount of lives went down..but the title says "bosses" so, it serves its purpose. Blazes jump kick is that of legends with her priority ,hit box and range lol btw though, her neutral jump kick is far more effective and damaging to spam against the final robotic boss. On the extreme hard difficulty, him having much higher hp, and time being shorter, the method you used would not kill in time, even if you were never hit. Just fyi. In the end, nice video to show a basic strategy on how to deal with the bosses. Thumbs up

Wow I wish the last boss was that easy on the hard mode on Genesis, after going thru all that tougher stuff. It's all over the place I tried the jump kicks but it stops on a dime and picks up momentum. My best bet is on normal mode.
The last boss in SOR3 is the easiest one in the game. :)

The bosses (minus Jet and Neo X) may be easier in BK3, but it still had the superior story than SOR3.
