the very fact that someone like The Punisher can pick up a man like the Kingpin, let alone throw him any distance whatsoever, confirms beyond all reasonable doubt that he is one of the most powerful non-metahuman Heroes That has ever walked the face of the Earth.
So..OP or over written. Because he just doesnt fit in honestly. They have to force his existence. The worst decision ever was to mimmick when Deadpool killed marvel and pretend that punisher could do the ssme. What happened when he fought Hulk isnt even actually possible to stop Hulk. Sad reallly for punisher fans

back in the days beat'em/button bashing games required skill unlike modern beat'em up games eg "god of war"
it was cheap at nickle city. hahahaha!
My best gaming moments must be from various arcades. I like the old beat-em ups like Cadillacs and Dinosaurs and Marvel vs Capcom. There are others games I like, but beat-em ups have to be my favourite out if all the arcade genres.
I love how Punisher's pistol has infinite ammo, no reloads.

In Daredevil, there was a crime-boss associated with the Kingpin named Eric Slaughter who led a cabal of hitmen. I remember they often used unorthodox weapons that would fit in with this game like nunchucks and blowdarts.

It saddens me that Frank Castle was one of the earliest Capcom arcade games yet he never got a single feature in the Marvel versus Capcom titles.
@2r3333 the legacy was there. But in its wake capcom gave us some awesome games and was a bridge for future marvel titles & crossovers

Some of the most badass ending credits ever.
I played it at the arcade and noticed that a few times, especially during the final fight with Kingpin, there were slowdowns and sprite flickering, possibly because the CPS-1 hardware was being pushed to its limit at that point.
I don't think the CPS2 was ever given more CPU speed or better sprite capabilities than the CPS1; probably just a result of poor programming when you consider how quickly these games were released.

The Kingpin isn't even fat. He's 350lbs with only 2% body fat. Kingpin is a monster of muscle and a experienced martial artist. Don't let his large frame confuse you, because he has manhandled people like Spider-Man with ease.

Really like how this game gives limited uses on the melee weapons, yet has seemingly infinite ammo on a common pistol.
DOOM: Eternal shows gradually destroyed enemies like it's innovation and here I am enjoying Punisher.
I remember seeing this game as a kid and remember how damn violent it was. It was great.
Just think about the number of quarters I spent trying to beat Kingpin.
This was the beginning of a beautiful friendship between Marvel and Capcom. ^^

I always liked the sound of Guardroid's laser, I call it the Organ Laser since it sounds like a drawbar organ playing a G. If you know how to read drawbar registrations here's a close match for the sound: 86 6356 333, fast rotation, no percussion.
On the bus, dude's got two guys with guns pointed at a guy with a bat, and then runs away and calls in a guy with only his fists. XD Makes zero sense, haha. And that bus driver doesn't care.

Capcom should've made this into a Fantastic 4 game up to four players.
A Punisher video game is great idea for Capcom but it deserves more than it just being simply an old-school beat 'em up.
Even The Punisher video game in 2004 is a good example.

I miss the old style games. Luckily we have evercade systems for those of us who don't want to emulate or steal games.
Never much cared for these later Capcom beat 'em ups. They seemed to lack the impact of their early work. Final Fight is still the peak of the genre for me.
So here we have the classic arcade game Final Fight only with Marvel character sprites. Nice.
My favourite thing to do in the game is grab and do the super at the end lol. You can giant swing the fat king pin
btw this was when button bashing games had evolved as high as it could get in game mechanics i.e movesets eg being able to rush, dash attack, do special moves like street fighter, grab throw, grab super, grab jump throw, grab jump pile driver, throw grenades or jump and drop grenades edit: correction i think alien v predator added one more mechanic which was if you grabbed you could tap really fast to do a lightning melee move

Who else cheesed their way through 3rd boss on arcade? Catch guy with tommygun on lvl start and shake him left/right untill he bugs and complete lvl without fighting boss :)
