I loved my time on board, yes training and work can be hectic but its well worth it!! financially it was amazing as well. I will be going back next month!
Keep in mind this job opportunity is amazing for building the resume, but you must be physically and mentally fit.... This a very demanding job that requires 5.5 work days every day, you work 14 hour days with only 2, one hour breaks. one lunch and one dinner.... If you leave the spa off of your break hours they will write you up or fire you. You only work for 4.25% commission and some ships do not do auto gratuity.... If you get a difficult guest or a frequent cruiser who knows the system, they may easily complain and you do not get paid. The travel and the friendships make all the hard ship worth it! You learn work ethics you never realized you could do... you learn to pull through complex situations not to mention you become bad ass as retailing upgrading re booking and cross promoting so every job opportunity you go for after Steiner will be a cake walk.... choose this job wisely and do not think it's easy... but understand it is worth it
People who complain about Steiner are those people who didnt make it on ship.. Its your business.. You make what you work.. They usually do one contract and quit.. Life on ship is the shit.. Its awsome!! Work a few days get a day off go see the world while making some money..who could ask for anything more.. By the way all steiner employees are allowed to use the guest gym ... The only thing your not allowed to do with guests is sleep with them.. Crew cabins arent that bad you get a TV, shower, toilet, wifi etc etc the question is why would you be spending anytime in your cabin your in a different country everyday with the most amazing tourist attraction litterally foot steps away.. By the way im in this video loving life as a Personal Trainer on the Norweigan Epic last year i have done 3 years with steiner and going back for more.. You know why because there is no job or place in the world i can do the thing i love with thousands of people in as many different places as possible..... Get real people!! Steiners can go anywhere in the world and everybody knows who we are! Hoo raaah
