These tend to be competitive shooters that really don't want you to manipulate depth effects to give yourself a potential edge in clarity. Hunt is a well-known example of this. Reshade offers 2 installation options, one with add-ons and one without. If you are using the version without add-ons, you will not have access to depth buffer based effects, like DOF, AO or RTGI, during online play. But you can use the other effects. This is the safest option. Some online games don't care if you use the version with add-ons. I played Fallout 76 with the add-ons version and didn't get banned. It really depends on the games' individual rules if they consider accessing the depth buffer to be cheating.
