Yeah it's easy to do. Check if you also need to do the grill mesh filter too in the service manual. From memory it was at the first 1000km service and maybe around 30000km but not sure
that's good to know buddy! be careful to use quality tools so you don't round the bolt head. The best option would be ratchet, then ring spanner, then lastly normal spanner (could round the bolt the easiest). the metal in the bolts is a bit on the soft side.
Nice video my man - time to do it on mine and wanted to get back up to scratch on the bolts and oil quantity. What mileage were you at when you did this?
Yeah its good, i even watched it again for when i did it last just to rehash on it all. The service manual (www.hyosung.hu/download/pdf/data/service-manual/GT650%20EFI%20GV650EFI%20Service%20Manual.pdf) has a lot of servicing information for this bike. The owner manual on page 49 (www.hyosung.com.au/downloads/manuals/GV650.pdf) has the servicing schedule for the oil changes; which is every 6000km. In this video I was changing it for the 6000 km service. I now have 15000 km on the bike.
That looks very easy, cheaper than what the dealer wants to charge to change the oil. I'm breaking mine in, do I need to change any other fluids, or is this it?
+Royce Evans for the first 1000km service its just the oil. The service manual says what to check to make sure nothings loose. Personally for the first 1000km service, get the dealer or mechanic to check it for warranty and/or all the checks. The first service is very important
I'm doing a gv 250 so it's smaller but getting mixed answers everybody. I know on the sportbikes I've done its supposed to be right in between the L and F just in the middle on the window. Is that the case with these bikes aswell?? Any help appreciated.
You want to fill the oil to full, but not over that, as oil doesn't compress, hence why over filling is bad as it will pop seals . Usually bike must be upright when the measurement is taken.
Next time try Penrite HPR Gas 10 it will do the same job. Supercheap Auto Have it for 2x5ltr for $60 on special sometimes you just have to keep watch on there catalogs. I use it on ruby :)
Great video. I have a ST7 but this all was the same. I even found a local shop that has my filter in stock. El Paso Texas
Great stuff mate. Does the ST7 have the same issues with the gv650 with the premature failures of the regulator regulators?
thanks man. i like how you jumped threw it all quickly. good for dummies like me who could use a quick look.
thanks mate. I think I will even watch this again before changing it myself to rehash
I needed this. I have the same bike. Thanks.

Tip: A couple of newspapers sheets on the floor (old magazines, etc.) will avoid a lot of stains and cleanup. ;-) Cheers
Great tip
Thanks for your video, you made feel confident that this was an easy job and it was ! I appreciate you.
Thank you for your tutorial video, it's clear and helpful! My 2008 model speedo is broken I found it's so hard to find a new speedo aftermarket.

You are awesome man. I'm assuming this is similar to the ST7.
Do you have a hyosung st7 deluxe ?
@@КостянГриднев yes mate
In Russia, hyosung is not as well known as susuka. What are the dimensions of the oil filter? Watsap my 89296566964
Can you tell me anything about servicing the primary/transmission? Video was super helpful!
Nah sorry, outside of my current capabilities for that one

i am pissed when i tried to change the EO based on this video but the drain plug already damage. bought 2nd hand.
Oh no that's no good. Maybe a mechanic can take the bolt out and replace it with a new one
