I just don’t see it either. There are some moments where the tracking is insane but it’s not consistent like a cheat would be. The screen flicks are negligible. I play with a pretty small mouse pad so my pov looks like that all the time.
some cheats arn't active all of the time. i'm absolutely positive this guy has some kind of "lock on"-button. because yeah, most of the time he has normal aim, but every now and again he suddenly has perfect tracking to take down one target..
he is infact cheating, 2:18 slow it down to .25, you can see his cursor insta snap onto the cassidy
@@Frallicus the replay is not perfect, so I'd chalk that down to some sort of desync between client and server for a split second. Unless it happens several more times in this match it's more likely that it's not cheating.
the people talking about jittery aim also never played soldier, soldier is like the only OW hero with recoil, so the aim always jitters as you fight the recoil

Looks like they are not cheating. Thing that sells it for me is just that they aim the helix at the feet 90% of the time rather than at the body directly. Looks like standard aim.

I actually think this is a good thing to upload, not every match has a cheater and I think the last wave of hackers really influenced people to start looking for them. Especially because it's a good excuse for a loss or a poor performance, people would rather believe there is a cheater in their game than just admit they're having an off day.
This person is not cheating and I think it's nice to see streamers go with what they see plainly even when it's less appealing content-wise. I wouldn't care if Ytbers suddenly decided every vod was a cheater to farm views (get that bag, man, idc) but it influences the community and that's when it becomes a problem.
Anyway, I didn't doubt you'd be honest with your opinion about a case like this but it's nice to see your integrity confirmed regardless. Love the content as usual, keep it up ❤

their aim is 100%, consistently never kicking up, ever. now I know some players in gold have good aim but honestly it doesn't look like its kicking AT ALL, it looks like he's using a script that pulls his gun down after a certain time of holding the shoot button so it always is consistently shooting perfectly straight - surprised no one is talking about this
yeah literally looks like a common gold xim soldier, i guess pc players arent used to seeing xim scripts
and even if he had an amazing kick reaction time, sometimes you'd just see that little mouse pull down a little stronger or weaker, there are no variables in this game.

honestly... at first i was surprised by your comment. then i went to scroll back through some of the video and i started to agree with you. then i went into game and played some soldier myself. soldier recoil is really not hard to control, and it gets muddied with all the jumping and movement and such. my own gameplay looks basically the same as far as how much the crosshair is moving due to recoil, as far as i can tell. it's more noticeable at longer range a few times, but the soldier in question was shooting close range at lot. out of 2k hours played, i have 22 on soldier, 59 on sombra, 12 on bastion, and NICE on tracer. i played CS 1.6 in high school, and played nearly ever Battlefield game. my aim is really not very good, but i am used to playing games with recoil / muzzle climb. soldier's is quite mild and very consistent. you bring up a good point, and im positive there are scripts / cheats of some kind that could automatically counteract the recoil on soldier, but im not sure that's happening here, or at least it's not making a noticeable difference.
edit: at 14:30 im pretty sure we see a little bit of recoil climb when shooting the junkrat, and then again at 14:40 when shooting the moira in the small room with the mini health pack.
@@senor135 i dont see the recoil you're seeing in those clips, at most i just see mirco aim adjustments, he just keeps moving his crosshairs around his enemies. at 3:08 he kills the zen and there should've been movement downwards after that kill before moving to the right, but he just moves straight to the right.
i main solider and sombra, and i know after soldier kills there should be a jolt downwards, sometimes its very tiny, sometimes it more noticeable, but it changes throughout the game because sometimes you stop shooting first and sometimes you stop moving the mouse down to compensate for aim first, it is not always 1 to 1 - and sometimes you're caught off guard and overwhelmed and you don't shoot exactly as well in that moment - there are seemingly none of those. im a diamond solider and i can say there are times throughout the game im just going, boy my recoil, better dial that it. this guy is seemingly never struggling with his recoil.
the screen should be shaking much more then it does in these clips, soldiers recoil isn't hard but you still notice it
I'm a gold/plat dps and I have soldier games like this sometimes you just lock in. 100% not hacking imo. wouldn't even question it in a game

Yea im in gold/plat and sometimes ill play w friends and get into low silver lobbies, I just absolutely crush them. Not because im that good but thats just the discrepency between the ranks that people dont really realize. Theyre all metal ranks but honestly the difference between gold and plat is bigger than people realize even tho to a top 500 player im sure theres really no difference. This just looks like a gold level player (mechanically) playing against bronze/silvers
Yeah they are mostly going in straight lines, and the only time his aim gets wonky is when Moira starts bouncing around him.

i agree with you emongg. if the player was cheating -- IF... then i dont think it was really making the difference anyway. the mechanics just look better than what maybe the others are used to. the target movement is pretty simple, and the soldier is just real cocky. id say the opponents should brush this one off, look at how they couldve improved their own play and just go next.
Moments i think are unnatural or sus: 2:18, 2:55, 4:59 (snaps off of Orisa as if his aim was locked onto her and then let go), 14:59 (soldiers screen snaps downward as cass walks over the cars. cass's hitbox would drop for a very, very quick moment), 16:51, 19:30 (camera snaps to reinhardt thru walls but this may be because of the hanzo sonar arrow).
he also follows thru walls often but when he peaks/they peak he doesn't seem to react as if he knew the person was there (rarely prefires, isn't positioned better with the knowledge wall hacks would give him.) His awareness is gold, his movement is gold. he also seems to understand the map enough to get by at this rank.
Overall if hes not cheating, his mouse is just garbage, his mouse pad is likely dirty or his mouse hasn't been cleaned recently. hes also likely moved from another team based shooter to Overwatch. He could be a paladins player moving to a less shit game (I am an equal opportunity hater kekw), which is why his aim is decent but his game sense is dogwater. Like mr.streamer mentioned too - his sus aim could be sus because of cat hair, hitting the end of his mouse pad, too high sens or even just a shit low end mouse and high ping!
if he **is** cheating he is using a script that removes recoil or corrects it for him, with how shit his mouse is... there is no way in hell he is controlling the recoil that smoothly. his mouse can barely track turning corners kekw. Hes not shooting in bursts either hes holding down mouse 1. Something is going on - but i have no idea what, could be script could be hacks, i have no idea. a script or hack could also be what's causing the jitters/snaps and skips when the code bugs out too. Maybe he's a low rank player upset with the soldier recoil additions? So he took matters into his own hands thinking hes better than his rank because blizzard sucks or something.
I'd probably report and move on anyway. I am suspicious and can pin-point multiple strange/unnatural happenings. (thanks to the horrid overpopulation of cheaters now-a-days i am paranoid as many others have admit has happened to them too). I don't intend on false reporting, that's not my goal. my goal is to draw blizzards systems attention to that player and hopefully they make a valid verdict, innocent or cheater.
Edit: Spelling and note: If they are hacks they're really good hacks bc it looks so easily excused by hardware like a shit mouse or shit set up.
Body lock snap @02:56, or a replay bug. Several suspicious moments. I think they are using subtle toggling on top of good crosshair placement.
You're right, there's a few of those lock moments. there was one when they were spamming the dva on high ground a little bit before your timestamp.
I do ultimately think they're using some form of aim assist. I also think this is someone that plays a lot of pc games already, and isn't just some noob that started hacking a week into learning the game. You used to be able to find tons of guys like this in csgo around 2016 onwards. Valve had dealt with most of the egregious ragehacking like nospread and psilent and so guys switched to doing "legithacking" where theyre basically just walling and playing the game normally with a small radius aim assist and recoil control, as well as some movement scripts, etc.
TL;DR it isn't just noobs who cheat, there are people that know what they're doing already and likely don't NEED cheats, but use them anyways, and they could easily hide for years in any rank they choose and not get caught, unless the anticheat catches the signature of the cheat they're using. it's unlikely anyone would report them enough for a manual review because for most people they'd just look like a legit player having a good game.

replay view catches your lag… it might be that
it looks suspicious, i'll give you that. but i dont think that's from hacking. it's locked off-center of the body and for 1 bullet of damage. just a bug or hiccup in the game or replay viewer or with the person's physical aim, id bet. if you frame-by-frame that bit of the YT video it actually jumps to the left (away from the ashe) first, then moves over to the ashe. and every frame appears to be a different location relative to the ashe, vertically and horizontally. (you can frame by frame with , and . keys)

what i notice soldier have very tiny soft lock kind action adjusting aim before start shooting target, not aimbot but something similar what controller user have.

@@Austiniscold I think hes talking about the very unnatural snap at almost the exact time he wrote down but you can kinda see a pattern of those little snaps in the entire vod and most the time they dont snap onto anyone which is why I personally dont think it is anything but either lag in kill cams/replay since certain parts of replay can generate with these glitches due to poor wifi (for the people who dont know replays and kill cams arent the actual game being recorded but a simulation of everything that gets registered and then replayed) and Ive seen these glitches in killcams of people who I 100% know dont have hacks and it is purely a visual glitch THAT IS if it doesnt periodically snap onto a person if it only snaps onto people yes it is a hacker and not a visual glitch.

yeah, i'm pretty sure the guy has some kind of lock-on-button he can press to jump to center mass of the nearest target. he's not overusing it to avoid detection, but there's a few scenes where i think it's very obvious

2:16 slow it down to .25, you can see his cursor snap to the Cassidy (saying 2:16 just so people have some time to get ready to witness the cursor snap, 2:18 seems closer)
also 4:57 might be just coincidence but just him looking at the Orisa through the floor also sets some red flags
(also the platform was not dropped which is kinda important as this could be aim assist)
When slowing it down I can see what looks like a small flick towards the cass. But it also looks like he was just aiming at dva and over corrected himself when she strafed
@@soberstoners7610 the thing is it doesn't look natural at all, his cursor just straight up positions onto the Cassidy rather than guiding it's way there. It depends on the platform because I think aim assist can cause this, but if this PC it's 100% cheating since it essentially locked onto the Cass without flowing naturally onto him

2:18, I dont think humans can do that especially with the auto lock onto moira while trying to shoot D.VA before switching to shoot at mcree. A few instances tip me off where this guy is most likely a good player that also uses cheats, its rare but they do exist, probably a closet cheater as the person might be afraid blizzard will ban them since its their main account, also like you pointed out theirs a few instances of him looking at people through the wall pretty suspiciously. Probably smart enough to hide it on certain enemys, having a full body track on the mercy like you said would be a major tip off and it be something I avoid too, personally if I had cheats like this and was using it on my main, id probably turn them on distance base hitbox tracking and use it on enemys near me, but Id also not play soldier 76, someone more like reaper.

Okay so this is a *very* strange case
This person doesn't seem to be cheating, a lot of things seem circumstantial (Like the aiming at zen right as they turn the corner on second point, that just seemed like a coincidence) and their overall aim is super shaky and while they have decent aim their tracking kinda sucks and they barely stay on a target most of the time, which an aimbot _should_ avoid
But then there's a specific moment, that's extremely weird and potentially gives it away. At 9:25, they hear a bastion and baptiste walking out of spawn and prepare to shoot them, that's normal
However, they start shooting at the Bap, and then *suddenly,* they snap straight onto Bastion's headshot hitbox as the bastion swaps into turret mode, and they track it perfectly _before it's even fully visible,_ up until they shoot helix and start backing up
This makes me think that they have a toggle, most of the match they keep it off, but they have a hotkey that lets them immediately switch their aimbot on when they need it most, and that creates a situation like this where they're aiming at one person, see someone more threatening do something (Bastion going into turret form), and they quickly toggle it on to try and deal extra damage before toggling it back off. It's why it's so hard to spot, because it's straight up not active a majority of the time, and they switch it on when they think they need it
However it could easily just be a player with decent aim (though kinda shaky tracking) that had some extremely good moments that looked suspicious, especially with the skill rating gap present in a wide match, which I think is the better answer than "they could've toggled ONCE in the entire match!" Aimbot would almost entirely prevent the sorta shakiness present in their aim, on top of trying to primarily aim for the head rather than the body, unlike what this soldier is doing (primarily shooting the body rather than the head)
I doubt they are cheating. If they are, it’s super mild. I also play soldier 76 and aim like them. At 9:25, that just looks like he starts shooting bastion because he is way closer and easier to hit. He overflicks, which is why his cursor looks like it’s over the bastion turret form headshot box. To me it looks pretty normal.

you could see and hear the zen shooting. since its projectile you could relatively track where the zen will be based on that depending on how close they are.
I mean the whole match he had been going for body shots and it seems to align with what he did there as well. He seemed to have been surprised that the Bastion was there as well and over flicked. Now imagine he did toggle. He was already aiming at the Bap, so shouldnt the aim stay on them? In order for your theory to be right, he had to shoot the Bap, stop shooting, flick/hit the toggle, shoot for a split second then *very* shortly after toggle again to turn it off (because less than a second later he's aiming at the left of Bastion). Could it have been a toggle? Yes. Could it be organic? Absolutely. If they are cheating its turned down very low. Like Emongg said, Im sure in your own vods you could find something that looks suspicious.
I watched that moment in .25x. He snaps right onto the turret head hitbox. *However*, he gets no more than 2 shots on that exact spot and his aim is shakey the whole way through. This is controller aim of a COD player who doesn't know OW very well yet. His reticle coincidently landed exactly on that suspicious spot, but the reticle movements look normal the entire way through. Controller aim is impressive when you are shooting at head level of an enemy that doesn't change position vertically. It's very easy to keep consistent headshots with Soldier when the enemy doesn't understand high ground. The moment he is looking down at a bastion with no head, his aim becomes erratic. Same for the Valking Mercy.

I feel like he definitely is cheating. There's a very unnatural 1-frame flick slightly to the right at about 2:18, when he's shooting up at the D.Va & then tracks the Cass going down.

emongg just being nice lmao. people that play Ashe know if you put Bob off the map you might have just threw the game for your team. That's assuming you used the Bob in a clutch situation (when you should be using it)

No evidence beyond reasonable doubt. Could be a very very low FOV aimbot and toggling it on and off as the game goes on. for the people who say that aimbots primarily lock into heads that is incorrect if you're trying to hide it.
Very simplified aimbot mechanic explanation on fov. Cheats have options to adjust field of view which affects on how it locks into certain part as an example a head. Also to some comments you can also lock into body as well.
My best guess is that this is some form of Ximming, the aim feels like its pulling onto the enemy a bit way too much. I know it may be aim from other games but certain things like shooting under the cart and hitting the bap at the end of the first round isn't something that feels normal unless aim assist was pulling it down there, especially with how many shots he hit at such a weird angle
it can't be ximming because competitive doesn't support crossplay
he's just saying there seems to be a similar level of aim assist. hacking isn't allowed in ranked either but it happens sometimes 😆

Ive made a system for myself where u can have 4 "sus" moments per half/push. I usually have 2-4 in vods ive watched of myself so it feels appropriate, also his Sens is soooo low lol

the reply is, as per the devs, not perfect, as it only shows what the server saw, and ignores what the client saw, this results in some loss of frames because the client couldnt properly tell the server what it did, having one single frame snap in a reply isnt enough to say for certain anything

You're right to be cautious. Aim hacks can have various intensity. it can be hardcore aim-lock to a gravity well with different strengths. You can set that gravity well to start pulling your mouse from a small or large box. This is more of an aim-assist because your movements still matter. He also seemed to have zero recoil, which could be a cheat or muscle memory from practice. I gotta chicken out and call it inconclusive. Maybe let Flats turn this 25 minute video into 3 hours?
Pre-aiming at people through walls multiple times. Two snaps look like packet loss, all the others are aim corrections. Suspiciously good tracking. All of those are giveaways but can be explained away. The one that cannot be explained away is shooting the Orisa center of mass instead of going for neck/head. The only reason you would not track Orisa's head is because you have an aimbot locking onto center of mass.
That's a closet cheater with a "legit looking" configuration of their cheats.

Nope, this aint a cheater, hes legit, hes just a good player that knows how to track their enemies, i also like to do those small flicks u say are weird, if he was cheating he would have better aim, way better, thats the average Soldier OTP aim, if u know the weapons recoil and how to track that gives u a really nice aim, a good example is most apex legends pros, if u dont play Ápex, most pros know the weapons they mainly play so good that many times it looks like they are cheating, in this case its just a really average soldier OTP

@@hone-pq7pp If u came from other games like me u wouldnt think that, in hundreds of games i see everybody do flicks like that i never think all of them are cheating, its weird to hear that u have over a thousand hours just with soldier and u never flick like this to hit some rockets or smthn, unless ur from controller wich would explain everything but i see those flicks perfectly normal, its just a guy with good tracking and aim thats all, its like saying that all Valorant pros are cheating for the way they flick, no they dont but it looks like it, if he was cheating he would 100% have better aim than that, he misses a lot of rounds all the time and rockets

I recently been heavly studying and applying aim theory to my games and been seeing improvment, this man isnt cheating. I can see this because he is applying methods that I use as well, for example: whenever he starts shooting, and a target is moving, he aims slightly behind the target where the shots still hit, but if they change their direction of the straif, he has significantly more time to react to it
He uses his ult. Easiest way to confirm he doesn’t have aim hacks
Literally what I was thinking, whenever there’s a soilder who cheats they NEVER use ult, but he uses it right when he gets it so 🤷🏽♀️

I felt like they toggled it when they ulted because their cursor placement was all over the place suddenly.
i've seen a dozen Flats Vids where Flats rages at the very obviously cheating Soldier that he should not be using the ult because it's worse than the cheats. so yes, cheaters absolutely use the ult.

They are absolutely cheating. Toggling an aim assist on, walling and aimlocking onto targets behind walls. Those times they look like they are flicking to an enemy behind walls that isn’t there is because they push a button which drags their aimer towards the nearest enemy but if they release the toggle button halfway there it just stops

If this guy is hacking he should ask for a refund for whatever aimbot he bought 😂 I dont think hes hacking. Just has good aim and not much game sense, which makes sense for the ranks.
He could have a soft one to hide the fact he’s cheating. A lot of cheaters do that now to avoid getting banned, not all of them are rage hackers.

Bronze to gold wide match, to a bronze player a gold hitscan player does have really good aim even though it’s just normal. It’s difficult for a bronze player to realize how below the par they are.
Didn't see anything terribly suspicious until 22:48 when hes aiming at the Rein going past the column. Aim jumps back and forth with perfect fluidity and does not look natural at all.
This is my friend we play on console so we have aim assist. And it's kinda not hard to know where rein is when you can see his shield the entire time.
I think they will climb very high once they gain game sense.
I think unless you have a real smoking gun, you kind of have to assume the play is legit -- both out of the principle of charity, and for the sake of your own sanity. For that reason, I think the only sensible take here is that he wasn't cheating.
HOWEVER.
Am I the only one who thinks 16:45 is, perhaps, the only truly sus moment in the vod? Not because of the aim, I mean he's got his ult going -- but the way he suddenly flicks up at the leaping Sojourn who wasn't even in his field of view? A few seconds before, only the corner of her health bar is visible, and then he looks away before snapping back to her in a completely different location. Sure he can hear her, but like... not while she's in the air.
No, I watched it in slow motion and at around 16:49, he tried to shoot Soujorn while his tank was fighting her. She goes up the stairs and is hidden from Soldier. After the tree, he completely loses sight of where Sojorn is and looks up. Looks like me when I ult and everyone hides so I am desperately trying to find someone to shoot. I spin around like a maniac and randomly shoot because ult locks on really fast and helps me spot people.

I'm not sure either. The thing is that the aim can jitter sometimes but I don't see that circle around the head thing or zigzag mouse movement I've seen on other cheaters. So the aim doesn't give it away, though only aiming at the body is a bit weird. I don't know how they can have this aim with this movement that's also a bit sus. So either they are smurfing or they have a soft aimlock. The jitters I'm thinking about is at 22:50 to 22:55 for example. But that could just be that he's lifting his mouse or something else.
most of my qwides been pretty good quality, because its stack of 2+3 so there is usually higher coordination.
I'm on the fence here but I'm leaning towards no. Look at 5:48, there's no aimbot in the world that is missing that many shots in quick succession. If he's got aimbot, it's turned down pretty low. It feels like a higher rank player in a lower rank lobby to me but I can see why some people have sus on him.
I had a similar thing where the mouse skips randomly, this turned out to eb the mouse sensor being broken. I got a new mouse and the skipping went away, so maybe this player has the same thing.
Not only is this guy not cheating, he's not even that good - does have good tracking likely from another fastpaced game like apex, titanfall, tf2, etc. but other than that this gamer is clear imo

Also, 3:05 if you are hearing steps why look directly into a wall? I would look back to the stairs if anything or run to the entrance without gazing into a wall.
This one felt weird for me, because most of the time it seemed like actual aiming, bit there were some moments were it looked like their aim was correcting it self a little bit. Like not an aimbot, but something that helped a bit (not aim assist because aim assist doesnt do corrections) dunno, felt weird sometimes, but I'm also stupid
LMAO "cat fur", had (she passed) the same with the fur of my golden retriever. Aim is all jittery, I pull 10cm hairs out of the optical reciever that is like 30mm wide, how did that hair get up there and how did it managed to curl perfectly around the lens.
With these gamertags it's on console though right? For M+KB it might be possible, but seems a bit too good for a pair of joysticks

Was this console or PC? Because 2:17 looks like extreme aim assist. When slowed down it looks unnatural but it's not consistent enough to be more than a fluke there (he doesn't track him on the way down). But the missed helix is also sus because of where he's aiming compared to where the helix actually travels (he's aiming down at where the cass will land but the helix travels straight and misses the torso).
Also that running after the Bob is just a weird bit of decision making if he's a gold player in a bronze lobby. Same with mag dumping Dva DM and orisa javelin spin. Also the complete "no fear" when facing multiple people.
If you slow it down, he's aiming for the feet with every helix but the projectile goes in a different direction to where he's aiming. Maybe it's a replay bug but it *looks so strange.*
There's a lot of inconsistencies but nothing really too blatant imo. Like you could totally make a case that he has walls because of how he looks "through" the wall at 3:14 but maybe he just has an incredible headset and heard the Mercy's footsteps.

Does not look like they are cheating, it more looks like the enemy team has a lot of bad placement and is not using cover. 3:50 that Zen is out in the middle as a low HP support with slow movement. Easy target for a automatic rifle. Only the Moira seem to be harder to hit but 76 was sprinting to chase her down after fade so that negated her best escape ability. Tracking someone falling straight down out of the air is not hard. "aim where their going, not where they are". No one was really bothering him all game either. No sniper's punishing him for being out in the open, no Genji or Reaper closing the distance on him to fight him at their range, not his. He was pretty much free to just unload clip after clip and only got punished when he was the one who got too close instead of staying at range or high ground.

He isn't cheating. He has decent aim/ tracking on bigger and predictable targets but when it comes to something harder he misses a lot
I don't think they're cheating. Some of those movements are some kind of mixed mouse/gamepad behavior, maybe they just use touchpad or trackball or even some sort of special controller for disabled person

I've been accused of cheating once. Every once in awhile I'll have a day where my aim is just absolutely freaking cracked. And I'll go 37 and 4 on soldier. My normal aim is very twitchy even though I play on fairly low sensitivities. I also play very paranoid. especially when they have a Sombra or a phara. If my aim was that good everyday I would be in Plat. I am currently mid silver. I don't play soldier unless I'm having one of those days. So my game sense and movement on him is definitely a bit sus.

If he is cheating it's definitely not aim assist or aimbot. When I started taking OW seriously I one tricked Soldier and I can tell you that this gameplay is exactly what Soldier one tricks at that rank look like right down to the bad ult infront of the enemy bastion. To explain the game sense thing you wouldn't really understand why that happens until you try one tricking Soldier. You just tend to get much better at certain things like aiming and killing enemies on that hero before you pick up on the things that fall under game sense.

I'm pretty sure the acronym means Video On Demand but when talking about streaming (stream vod) or games (game vod) it means a replay video. So a stream vod is a recording of the stream as it happened live and a game vod is a recording of the game, both that you can watch after the fact, on demand.
Overwatch 2 always records games (even quick play, arcade or custom games) the replay vod is available in your career profile in the "history" section under the category "replay" and only clears after game patches (not hotfixes as far as I know)

He has a dead flat recoil, that is so obvious since first fight. We can have good aim, but dead flat recoil like this on a new game… nah, kinda take some times to get a pretty solid controlled aim on a video game.
soldiers recoil isnt random, and thus compared to literally every other fps with recoil, soldiers recoil is objectively easy to control, it wouldnt take more than a few games to get the hang of the recoil, also the recoil isnt nonexistent in this vod, when emong slows the vod down you can see the aim jumping up and down, its small, but its there, which just shows the guy has experience with controlling recoil

I think they aren't cheating to be honest. Like when somebody is cheating they are going to be more relient on their cheats. There would be some thing which they will do that even they won't expect. This soldier seems to be having a good aim. They have played some game like apex or fortnite because remember, in val there is firing error when you are moving. So, a new player transitioning from val/CS to here would have the counter strafe and standing still while shooting built in to them and they would be doing a lot of that.
Theory : he’s soft hacking to get out of hard stuck silver and when he looked at the orisa he was letting his discord kitten know they were coming. However, they are where they belong and they will get there’s if they choose to take the easy way out. Using walls and toggling for the win he couldn’t hit mercy at the end because he didn’t need to. I would assume it’s a skill issue and they aren’t a complete idiot and actually don’t wanna get caught

seems like most of the comment section has the same opinion i do: this guy just looks like a gold player in a bronze lobby. tbh he's probably just the highest skilled player in this particular game; game sense isn't amazing but it isn't as bad as most hard cheaters, aim is pretty good but he could just be THAT good, cooldown usage isn't terrible and he doesn't forget to use abilities or sprint; if ANYTHING he maybe has a really really soft lock on aim, but even then atp why bother? he obviously doesn't need it when you take into account everything else.
tldr: like everyone else said, he's just a gold player in a bronze/silver lobby.
If I were to play against this guy, I definitly wouldn't suspect him of anything.

This is definitely not cheating, just someone who's had a lot of practice in their gameplay. Cheating would be paired with AWFUL game sense. Even for Gold, he's got better than average game sense in SOME areas; for a cheater, it would not be there at all, and you would see this in higher ranks too for those other players who cheat their way up there.

i disagree and there's one thing that leans me in the decision that he is in fact cheating. it look like its an aim assist where there are small corrections to keep the aim on an enemy. it seems the soldier is very good at these micro adjustments, but the moment the enemy get some sort of speed boost where they are faster than normal (rein charge, mercy flying around, junkrat blasting off with his mine), the soldier loses track in that instance. i dont believe someone who is capable of tracking with those micro adjustments (jitters as the the chat was referring them as) would suddenly lose track over and over again. refer to 20:24 where any gold player could easily follow the rein charge. I believe there's some sort of aim assist at play. (I don't know if they said this was console but if its PC then im pretty convinced there's an aim assist)

Even though the overall skill gap between Bronze and Gold isn't as large as between Gold and high plat/diamond, the skill variance in the bronze>gold ranks can be amazingly large, so large that it can _feel_ like a gold > diamond skill gap, and this vod really does show how.
Assuming this Soldier76 player _is_ gold, as observed, his game and map sense is awful, far worse than it should be for a *balanced* gold player. This means that this players mechanical skills are most likely what got him to gold rank, and what this ultimately means is that his ranking is being held back by all the other issues of his gameplay.
Now, to be clear, all things equal, the mechanical skill of a typical gold player will seem "godlike" to a typical bronze player, but when said gold player's aim could be on the level of a plat5 player, sticking them into a bronze lobby would be oppressive as hell, even if their positioning and teamskills are so bad that they often end up feeding.
I know people already brought up the "but there would be a gold player on the other team", correct, but what makes them gold? Mecahnical skill? Game sense? Carried? Players with the *exact* opposite issues of this player could be on the other team. All gold players are not made equal. There are plenty with appalling accuracy that win a lot because they know how to apply flanking pressure, peel to keep team deaths low or how to ult-counter in gold lobbies.
Also, the distinction on what maps got each player to a gold rank can have a huge impact. Some gold players are so bad a hybrid maps that they honestly think they stomped the other team when they were attacking, only for the other team to push the payload 2-3 minutes faster and win the tie breaker simply because the first team only has one minute to touch point. That doesn't happen on push, so game _mode_ diff can often be the distinction between the two opposing golds in a wide match.

@@Frallicus He tracked a falling target that is falling in a straight line at a static pace and most of the shots were bodyshots and misses, Silver players can do that. There's no target locking happening there. Also, that moment is an example of his strength and weakness at play at the same time. Great aim, but standing in the middle of low ground without the sense to look for cover. He didn't die there because the opposing Cass (most likely one of the bronzes in this lobby) has even less map/game sense and gave up high ground advantage, left themselves open to continuous attack (by falling, the most punishing state you can be in other than mimicking a statue) and their tank didn't nose down DM to cover for his mistake. That timestamp is not the golden bullet you think it is.

In hindsight that could be aim assist but since we don’t know the console this was played on its impossible to say for sure, and since the motion was instant, it seems unnatural for it to be a regular person since it looked so unfluid

Not cheating, it's a player from another game like you said. I'd describe it as "has the aim of a plat and the decision making of a silver" and that just evens out to gold.
