The length of the threads is 7mm, the diameter of the threads is 2.9mm, the diameter of the cap on the head is 7.5mm. I don't know where I got the screws. They might be RC servo screws but I don't remember where I got them.
I have the older one with the button and I have had no problems with it. This newer one is obviously of inferior quality regarding the holder. Great review
Great informative video as always. I bought this bycicle set a year ago and it is exactly the same, no button, and it is bigger, the bits have a little more space between them, compared with the older tool check that I have. I like the little organizer for the ratchet and bits. I also have one with the little screwdriver and bits. The construction of the new tool check is not that great, but it never comes apart like this. I use this set with a little torque wrench, I like the ball end hex bits. But I think the older version with a locking button is discontinued. It's a good set for the shop. I have the wera bicycle set 5 stubby screwdriver with stainless steel bits which I carry on the road.
Thanks for the update! Another little mod you can make is that the 813 R screwdriver will fit well if you slightly drill out the end where the screwdriver bitholder end sits.
Thanks I’m an appliance and hvac service tech and I’ve had my tool check plus for about three years and I have the button and I love it. Thanks for the idea of adding an extra socket, I have the sae set.
Great tipp, thank you! Subscribed as I see you have a lot of other useful information! By the way: At 1:50 What kind of Pliers are these? I have never seen a color scheme like this, I kinda want them.
Thank you! Ah, those are a custom run of snake skin laser etched Knipex cobras from EDCOUTLAW. Here is a link. www.edcoutlaw.com/collections/all He does limited runs on customized tools and you really have to be quick to get some of his popular items. It helps to follow him on Instagram.
@@bzeug Thanks a bunch for the reply and the other videos, you already helped me again with another video about electric screwdrivers (I decided to buy the Makita instead of the Panasonic EXENA) Best wishes!🙏
Notice how the socket labels are not aligned to be a constant offset from the pin, such that you cannot attach the sockets with the labels all in the same orientation. Have emailed Wera support several times about this issue and never gotten a response. Surprised because I was under the impression Wera had good customer service.
Are you talking about nuts with round ends? Regular sockets won't do the job anyway, you can buy a full car socket set with wrenches for a 100$, there is usually a long 15 socket inside
I got my Toolcheck Plus from Taobao and they're all using only the no button ones now. Kinda bummed out because there was no one selling the one with the button anymore...
The new version can stand opened on a flat ground so it’s more comfortable to take the bits. The belt clip had to move for this too. You can glue two small magnet plates which are very thin (available online) and glue it on the back of the tool check and one the movable back of the second bit row. So it holds very good.
"Not what I got" - sadly I've had that happen too often using Amazon, especially when the product is imported from somewhere overseas. I've given up using overseas based merchants on Amazon. Thanks for the warning.
Then you need additional adapter from 1/4" hex to 1/4" square if you plane to use them at the same time (one for rachet and one for handle). I also came to this idea, but what is with 13, 8, 6 mm sockets? Sollution is to have Knipex 8603125 and use space for another socket size instead of duplicating just one size.
As a bike shop mechanic for many years this has no application for professionals yet is priced way out of line for consumers. No idea what the point is.
@htr5372 the switch mechanism could definitely be improved and the plastic could be improved. Perhaps magnets in the bit holders as well like a bit railer. It could definitely be improved many ways
What size screw did you use?

Have you made that mod!? Would love to see how it looks! 🤔

0:40 "Wheel changing parts" . . . um, they're 'tyre levers'. i.e. 'tyre-changing parts'.
Thank you for the warning, almost made the mistake of buying one. Going for the HAZET SMART HOLDER instead.
i think they are good anyways, and i dont know if i bother to put screws on mine, but great hackk
@@killgates9890I gave up on both in the end. Went with "Wera
8009 Zyklop Pocket Set 3 " which is much more powerful then both of those.
Are all tool checks being changed this new design?
I wonder this as well, This new design is awful
Yep, all new versions are like this. You have to get a second hand version to get the old button version
Great tipp, thank you!

For me the main problem with Bicycle Set 3 is that 15mm nut driver is unusable with Shimano Alfine/Nexus - it is too shallow.

Wiha is Screwing Wera with a Vessel. 😂
I can confirm the same issues. Bugs me so much. But the tools work well so I tolerate it.

This new model clearly has a flaw. I've heard about, but it’s first time than I seen fixed. Tks

Are those hydrodipped cobras?
laser etched by EDCOUTLAW.
Grateful for your Vid.🙏🏻
the image even shows bicycle set '3' and the one you have doesn't.
I have a Granite bike tool set that is better than that Wera. I have seen some poor examples of Wera recently.
Great videos.
WHEN WILL YOU HAVE A GARAGE SALE ? !!
Better add an extra 10mm.
Ha! Duplicate 10mm. Good idea.

The screwdriver is almost for kids

Goes next to the Park pizza cutter and Campy champagne opener.
Wera quality is slipping
The button would break on the old tool checks fyi
Better than the new ones that just fall apart in your hands
@@dsdf_fdp1858 later but equally poor results. Plastic that thin will always have issues
@@dsdf_fdp1858 I also think wera is awesome in many ways
@htr5372 fair assessment but the old one was not perfect either and breaks easily.
