Theory: Kim Soekjin - He failed to keep everyone alive again. He finds a dove who can either represent Jeon Jungkook or peace (or both). Peace version: The dove have been killed again so he needs to try and revive the dove, as long as the peace/ dove keeps falling the humans will die. JK version: The dove represents Jeon Jungkook as we have known since the Wings era. The dove’s been killed and that’s why we see Jeon Jungkook collapse/ die later on. Jin decides to bring the dove with him and puts the dove in a cage trying to awaken it. He’s also trying to find a way to go back in time to save everyone who died and to prevent any of this happening (as we also knew he tried doing in their Save me WEBTOON). The dove in the cage starts moving, (possibly JK) and he sees hope again. We see that Jin tried so many times to free the birds but only succeeded ones and it was Jeon Jungkook>the bird cages in his cabin. With the help from the 6 he can go back in time and save everyone Jeon Jungkook - He’s running away from his problems/ fears, basically fleeing trying to take the easy route. The handcuffs of thorns he’s wearing represents him being stuck in his sins unable to flee even tho he’s running. He wants to protect her from the cruel world they’re living in. After over winning their shadows he can finally take the blindfold off of the girl to show her the bright side of the world. Kim Namjoon - Kim Namjoon sailed the ark (Noah’s ark) but it crashed and got stranded. He promised land and food but it didn’t go as planned. He feels like he failed everyone. (Yes the animals are real) :) Jung Hoseok - This may be a little different from the rest but I thought it was cool theory. Jung Hoseok isn’t wearing the same type of clothes as the other 6, it even looks like he’s from a different time. In the music video Ego there’s a scene where J-hope drives away from the future. Maybe he drove back in time to be with the other 6, not leaving them behind and returning to them? I think this can represent the time before their debut when Jung Hoseok almost quit and the other 6 had to convince him to stay. Min Yoongi - Min Yoongi’s in what it seems being a church. He’s surrounded by darkness which Probably represents his depression. He’s standing on a path leading to the light but to reach it he first needs to learn how to forgive himself and enable himself to move on. And we can’t forget the fire. The things tying his hands represented him being caught up in this imaginary dream, his own lie that we've seen for so long in mvs and when he was freed by the water he was actually waking himself and the rest of the members up to reality. He's always seen running to an exit like the maze runner movie but here he's not literally tuning but trying to wake up. My interpretation on the ON mv : 1. Jungkook represented dove, ie hope. 2. Jin saw the dead dove, he thought Jungkook was dead, so hope was dead, there was no longer any hope. 3. Jungkook ran away from a wall, running from a system that imprison you, or going out from a Pandora box. 4. Jimin dancing amongst discarded drums, the boy with the drums is silent, there is no more hope for music. 5. RM stranded with the various animals as his ship is broken, there is no more hope for nature, but he still prayed for hope. 6. V with a blind, silent and unmoving child, there is no hope of a childhood that is free to see, voice out and moving forward. 7. “On official MV theory” *From what I have seen and from Armys comments* V was the first to embrace both of his sides good and bad, he waited for all of them to catch up embrace both side to be able to reach their heaven. Namjoon like Noah guiding them. Both V and JK had the chris symbolism, with V lying down with his hand spread and bent up leg and stuff acting like the crown behind him, but he isn't really pure good cause and it shows with that smirk... he kept the girl (same from the make it right MV) blindfolded till all evil was over then he removed the blindfold. And the ink on his nick looks like the poison from The Maze Runner, the poison that makes them remember their life before entering the maze (he remembers the timelines). Jk on the other hand looks like running from prison (might me omelas) and actually dies as it shown with the fall down and eyes closing to open again in a different barren land and a crow eating his corpse, yet he is resurrected and loses the handcuffs to blast the horn. lol I agree with the freedom bird thing but I think I can help you out a little. here is my theory: it made sense after I applied the Jung theory thing to it and after I remembered all the clues they gave us in the MAMA 2019 performance in the VCR. They had this whole title Journey to myself in there and how future meets past (*J-hope wearing modern clothes, the broken down car in jimin's scene, the modern/futuristic looking wall, remember in ego how j-hope drove towards the past instead of the future), Past meets present and present meets future to make this whole eternal journey. The hero's journey. The Hero is one of the main archetypes in Carl jung's theory. Here I think the Hero is Jungkook whom I think is also a representation of John the baptist (associated with the announcing of the coming of Jesus, peep the thorns in the handcuffs and him being in the river blowing the conch which is basically a symbol of call for freedom and renewal, also reminds me of the scene about Jesus baptism and how the word baptism literally means being born again; and also in the bible, there is the mention of a dove who came down during the baptism which represents the holy spirit and the holy spirit is basically the spirit of renewal and purification). John was a prophet who was later imprisoned for his beliefs, literally a hero who later became a martyr which ties to the theory of sacrifice ( in the Omelas book bout the child living in misery for everyone to be happy). Also the bound hands I think are a direct reference to Matthew 14 there is a whole paragraph where it talks about John the Baptist being imprisoned by king Herod. John was the forerunner/announcer of the messiah who represents a wind of change, death of the old beliefs and birth of the new. This whole mv depicts the Hero's journey, and so it flips through many archetypal events like death, separation, birth and it keeps repeating itself like a loop. That connects to the storyline where Jin keeps going back in time to fix things. Notice how all the people who died in the beginning, and the dove who was dead as well seemed to come back to life at the end and show up at the wall. And then there are the archetypal motifs by Jung like the apocalypse, the deluge/flood (Noah's ark), creation (the whole scene at the end where everything is born again all green). But in order to give birth/to create, one must basically destroy (remember the whole quote from the Demian book from the wings era). So when jungkook blows the conch he is basically calling for that renewal/revolution. To free themselves from the old in order to have the new, so that's why right after you see the whole dance sequence where it is all dark and crazy (looks like a whole battle scene really. And then everything gets set on fire before being born again/ created again. And then other Jungian archetypes are the wise old man (RM in Noah’s role), The child (this is pretty self-explanatory and it makes sense that V would be the one to be with the child, he has a whole solo in his album called “Inner Child” and it also makes sense that the child is a girl, Carl Jung concept of Anima/animus). Also V in the wings era and throughout the storyline has lost his childhood/adolescence because of the whole murder thing with his father, and he also lost his innocence which is why I feel like the whole blindfold over the little girl's face makes a lot of sense, someone said online that the actress said that she was supposed to represent his little sister and her wearing a blindfold could be him protecting her from reality until things get better, and it also makes sense seeing that the reason he killed his father in the storyline was basically to protect her. The john the baptist thing could totally be tied to the Noah (wise oldman jungian archetype)/ Noah's ark thing. Both John and Noah were prophets and they were both ridiculed for their beliefs and the messages that they preached (like BTS in the beginning when they were made fun of for their name and their concept, and the way they dressed or did things), both John and Noah were announcers of a new world/ a new change, John announced the coming of Jesus (a new wind of change) and the abolishment of the olden beliefs of the time while Noah announced the Flood which basically destroyed the whole world and as a result a new world was born again (Just like BTS basically paved the way for a whole industry and also they are the forerunners of a new type of art, they are innovative in everything they do and also try to help change their generation, and the world with their music). Also, the dove thing is present in both Noah and John the baptist stories, Noah I believe released a dove to find out whether or not it was safe to go outside after the flood. And that is mirrored when Jin released the dove first before they crossed the wall.
The dove is also a representation of love and peace and freedom which is why Jin was mourning its death so much in the beginning. Another Jungian archetype is the wise old woman/caretaker (Jin taking the bird home with him, and suffering at seeing the pain around him, in the storyline Jin is also the one who always tries to go back to save everyone and in BTS Jin also happens to be one of the caretakers, taking jungkook to school, cooking on birthdays etc..). There is also the God archetype which is all-knowing/idolized and tends to lead and be followed (Peep Suga in the church, in an almost sect-like setting with all his followers, who happen to be young people). That archetype is often interchangeable with and is attached to the trickster archetype (in this case may be J-hope because of his whole Munchausen syndrome thing in the storyline and how Loki the trickster god carries a bow and arrow, like J-hope in blood sweat and tears). But Like I said the two archetypes are closely attached because the trickster archetype can be a god/ a spirit/ a human who has secret knowledge or intellect and uses it to disobey conventions which would explain why his followers are dressed in red and yellow, the colors in that scene I believe reference the 18th-century Scandinavian depiction of the trickster God Loki. {side note: BTS has always taken the role of spokespeople for the youth, and they have always gone against convention, against the system and they always had the expertise and the skills/knowledge on how to deliver their message and their whole name basically takes that into account. And I also thought it interesting that Suga take one the God archetype closely attached to the Trickster archetype considering how there is a running joke in the fandom and the group about how much random information and knowledge he has stored in his brain lol and how close he is to J-hope, they had/have a whole sub-unit/ship name called SOPE} The robe (red robes to symbolize energy, passion, and action in this case) thing ties to their Fake love era. How? Well back during that time they had to destroy their masks in order to face themselves aka their inner selves. In this map of the soul era, they did confront their shadows but remember that confronting the shadow doesn't mean getting rid of it, it is more like trying to achieve balance, in order to reach individuation, so by accepting and understanding their shadow they have basically broken down the wall between their outer selves and their inner selves which you see dressed in the cloaks like in fake love and by doing that they have basically shattered/destroyed/set on fire their old world and basically made a whole new one (all the green at the end) where everything is balanced persona/shadow/ego. so that is why you see the destruction right after they show up in the red cloaks with jungkook (the announcer) holding the conch signaling the end of the old and the beginning of the new. And that is why instead of the fireballs going towards the shadow figures, they are shot towards us, the viewers and towards the world around them. I mean it is pretty fucking insane how much detail and care went into this. Even the mountain in the mv makes sense if you relate it to the whole noah symbolism. If you relate it to Mount Ararat which is the final resting place of Noah's ark before they literally abandoned it (their only connection to the old world before the flood) and started their life again in the new world after the flood. There is a connection with their project Connect BTS (global art project) with all the paintings and the setting references and choice of clothing during the mv. Like the bindings on jungkook’s wrists do remind me of the Gormley exhibit in New York, The whole dance scene with the bonfires, and the whole set there remind me of the ritual of care thing, and I believe some people were talking about that on twitter, the whole greenery, the trees, the rivers remind me of Catharsis. There is also all the references to tracks on the album, like UGH (J-hope being indifferent and singing in front of the corpse being eaten by the raven/crow), Black swan (the abandoned and broken drums in Jimin's scene, signaling abandonment of music/the death of their art), we are bulletproof the eternal (coming together at the end of all the trials crossing the wall together), Ego (Journey to the past) etc... RM did say that this album was all about rebooting, and rebirth so it makes sense that the mvs main focus would be the journey to that rebirth/reboot. And this is just one of the main things in this mv, there is just so much detail and so many more Easter eggs and clues related to the storyline and the album. They even paid attention to the choices of bird and animals they put in the mv. I would be here all day if I went into all the details. This whole thing is genius.

So BTS' current album is somewhat recalling or going back in time. Now, as you can see there are a lot of people who died (shown during the start) so Jin went back in time to save the people. The little girl who was with V was blind folded like the movie bird box. Eventually he took the blindfold off. This is probably because he didnt want her to see how cruel society is and only wanted her to see the beauty of it. Jungkook was "tied" with the crown with thorns, this made me think he's the protector. In a battle, everything will be easier to destroy when you are able to get the protector. As you can see, he blew the shell/horn and in dna he also whistled, these actions are saying that he wants to get the attention. He wanted to save everyone so he's calling their attention. RM showed up like the movie Noah's arc and also acted up like Moses who went up to Mount Sinai for the 10 commandments. Having that type of structure, (the stone that looked like from the movie Lion King) symbolizes transcendence. Either they want to go beyond their dream which is to live in a simple and happy life or want to go near to heaven like a ziggurat. Hobi went back in time, as you can see he's wearing modern clothes. He symbolized the world today. He was there and didn't care about Jk who was at the back lying and being eaten. Like now, there are fortunate people who are very selfish. Poverty, corruption, that's the world today. The people who showed up when the gates opened were the people who Jin saved since he traveled back in time. And as for the bird, it died but jin traveled so he also saved that. The bird was alone and went back and they were 7. JK was probably the one who was caged and freed and was finally reunited with the 6 members, his hyungs.
The blonde girl resembles the girl in the 'Make it right ft. Lauv' MV, so my theory is that the girl represents Army, because she represented Army in the Make it right MV. It represents their whole journey. They all were struggling, they were hurt or injured somehow, the injured bird represent the maybe failure of hopes but somehow they manage to meet up + I think it has something to do with going back in time thing. They meet the girl who represents ARMY. Tae also removes the blindfold from the girl’s eyes maybe representing how they helped us as well, like the “Make It Right” MV when there was a curly hair boy with a blonde hair girl who represents Taehyung and the little girl who helped him but in this MV he helped her back, Then joonie leads them to the top. And when they ended the video with “No More Dream” to “Dream”. They debuted with the song “No More Dream” in 2013 right? So the video also represents the hardships they had in their journey. And now they’re in the top just like they were in top of the hill in the MV. So the “No More Dream” becomes “Dream” which they have achieved. What I got is that when rest of the boy’s ( rm, Jin , yoongi , hoseok, jimin, and tae) when they released the dove. It’s supposed to represent Jungkook because he passed away, and they let him free, that’s why at the ending he was running happily because he thought he was still together with them.

Everyone has these intense theories, but I really think it's all about resurrection/ redemption. A lot of these movie themes have to do with that (the dove and the shell horn representing peace, etc.) so they all have their own storylines that lead them to going "beyond the wall" leading army (the girl and the followers) to a place of peace and dreams. It's really just drawing cinematic parallels between their own journey and the journey's undertaken by religious figures and movie protagonists.

It seems that the project [CONNECT, BTS] is also an important element of this album that BTS wants to convey. It has a lot of symbolism in it, one could write a whole essay about it. Down the to significance of the rain and thorns. Theory:
Kim Soekjin - He failed to keep everyone alive again. He finds a dove who can either represent Jeon Jungkook or peace (or both). Peace version: The dove have been killed again so he needs to try and revive the dove, as long as the peace/ dove keeps falling the humans will die. JK version: The dove represents Jeon Jungkook as we have known since the Wings era. The dove’s been killed and that’s why we see Jeon Jungkook collapse/ die later on. Jin decides to bring the dove with him and puts the dove in a cage trying to awaken it. He’s also trying to find a way to go back in time to save everyone who died and to prevent any of this happening (as we also knew he tried doing in their Save me WEBTOON). The dove in the cage starts moving, (possibly JK) and he sees hope again. We see that Jin tried so many times to free the birds but only succeeded ones and it was Jeon Jungkook>the bird cages in his cabin.
With the help from the 6 he can go back in time and save everyone
Jeon Jungkook - He’s running away from his problems/ fears, basically fleeing trying to take the easy route. The handcuffs of thorns he’s wearing represents him being stuck in his sins unable to flee even tho he’s running. Finally he collapses ready to give up, that’s when a black raven started to picking on him representing the ‘shadow’ (we have seen the bird raven with them a lot in mv’s since blood sweat and tears). He’s been given a second change to fight therefore awakens (possibly the dove). He walks over to a lake to get reborn, he gets freed from the thorns/ sins and picks up a conch shell calling for a spiritual awakening ready to face his fears together with the 6.
Park Jimin - Unable to feel rhythm he dances out of step. He can’t hear the beat anymore that’s why there’s stacks of instruments beside him. He lost his way, he don’t know why he’s doing what he’s doing anymore. He struggles to find the purpose again and reaches to sky for hope
Kim Taehyung - Kim Taehyung is calm and collected but you can see how he slowly starts cracking (his neck). With the girl as his ONLY motivation he keeps waiting for a miracle, that’s why he stays in front of the wall the entire time. He pretends everything is okay to keep to ones he love safe, the girl in this case. It’s the same girl who’s in the “make it right” mv (the girl represents A.R.M.Y or his sister). He wants to protect her from the cruel world they’re living in. After over winning their shadows he can finally take the blindfold off of the girl to show her the bright side of the world.
Kim Namjoon - Kim Namjoon sailed the ark (Noah’s ark) but it crashed and got stranded. He promised land and food but it didn’t go as planned. He feels like he failed everyone. (Yes the animals are real) :)
Jung Hoseok - This may be a little different from the rest but I thought it was cool theory. Jung Hoseok isn’t wearing the same type of clothes as the other 6, it even looks like he’s from a different time. In the music video Ego there’s a scene where J-hope drives away from the future. Maybe he drove back in time to be with the other 6, not leaving them behind and returning to them? I think this can represent the time before their debut when Jung Hoseok almost quit and the other 6 had to convince him to stay.
Min Yoongi - Min Yoongi’s in what it seems being a church. He’s surrounded by darkness which Probably represents his depression. He’s standing on a path leading to the light but to reach it he first needs to learn how to forgive himself and enable himself to move on. And we can’t forget the fire. Suga is all about the fire and has always been. But this time the fire is controlled and contained unlike in the earlier mv’s
In the end the gate opens, and a new world appears, a bright world full of life. The pride rock symbolizes balance/ circle of life. They walk up the pride rock and above them we can see 7 doves flying through the sky symbolizing freedom/ peace, they have learned to live with both Shadow and Ego. The things tying his hands represented him being caught up in this imaginary dream, his own lie that we've seen for so long in mvs and when he was freed by the water he was actually waking himself and the rest of the members up to reality. He's always seen running to an exit like the maze runner movie but here he's not literally tuning but trying to wake up. There's so many references here to the maze runner, divergent and stuff omg can I tell you all?

My interpretation on the ON mv :
1. Jungkook represented dove, ie hope.
2. Jin saw the dead dove, he thought Jungkook was dead, so hope was dead, there was no longer any hope.
3. Jungkook ran away from a wall, running from a system that imprison you, or going out from a Pandora box.
4. Jimin dancing amongst discarded drums, the boy with the drums is silent, there is no more hope for music.
5. RM stranded with the various animals as his ship is broken, there is no more hope for nature, but he still prayed for hope.
6. V with a blind, silent and unmoving child, there is no hope of a childhood that is free to see, voice out and moving forward.
7. Jin saw the bird came alive, meaning that Jungkook was still alive, hope is not dead, there is still hope.
8. Jungkook fainted, hope faltered.
9. But, he dreamt of dark bird on a field with dead trees, with JHope singing. Music can still be heard even among the dead.

V was the first to embrace both of his sides good and bad, he waited for all of them to catch up embrace both side to be able to reach their heaven.

Both V and JK had the chris symbolism, with V lying down with his hand spread and bent up leg and stuff acting like the crown behind him, but he isn't really pure good cause and it shows with that smirk... he kept the girl (same from the make it right MV) blindfolded till all evil was over then he removed the blindfold.
And the ink on his nick looks like the poison from The Maze Runner, the poison that makes them remember their life before entering the maze (he remembers the timelines).
Jk on the other hand looks like running from prison (might me omelas) and actually dies as it shown with the fall down and eyes closing to open again in a different barren land and a crow eating his corpse, yet he is resurrected and loses the handcuffs to blast the horn. Actually it says that the bird represents jungkook .and that actually jungkook is dead but he thinks he is with the others...so at the end he just felt happy running being with his Hyungs even if they don't see him
Also the dove that died at the beginning was resurrected again so that might be Jin travelling in time and it might explain the whole different eras and cloths

lol I agree with the freedom bird thing but I think I can help you out a little. here is my theory:
it made sense after I applied the Jung theory thing to it and after I remembered all the clues they gave us in the MAMA 2019 performance in the VCR. They had this whole title Journey to myself in there and how future meets past (*J-hope wearing modern clothes, the broken down car in jimin's scene, the modern/futuristic looking wall, remember in ego how j-hope drove towards the past instead of the future), Past meets present and present meets future to make this whole eternal journey.
The hero's journey. The Hero is one of the main archetypes in Carl jung's theory. Here I think the Hero is Jungkook whom I think is also a representation of John the baptist (associated with the announcing of the coming of Jesus, peep the thorns in the handcuffs and him being in the river blowing the conch which is basically a symbol of call for freedom and renewal, also reminds me of the scene about Jesus baptism and how the word baptism literally means being born again; and also in the bible, there is the mention of a dove who came down during the baptism which represents the holy spirit and the holy spirit is basically the spirit of renewal and purification). John was a prophet who was later imprisoned for his beliefs, literally a hero who later became a martyr which ties to the theory of sacrifice ( in the Omelas book bout the child living in misery for everyone to be happy). Also the bound hands I think are a direct reference to Matthew 14 there is a whole paragraph where it talks about John the Baptist being imprisoned by king Herod. John was the forerunner/announcer of the messiah who represents a wind of change, death of the old beliefs and birth of the new.
This whole mv depicts the Hero's journey, and so it flips through many archetypal events like death, separation, birth and it keeps repeating itself like a loop. That connects to the storyline where Jin keeps going back in time to fix things. Notice how all the people who died in the beginning, and the dove who was dead as well seemed to come back to life at the end and show up at the wall.
And then there are the archetypal motifs by Jung like the apocalypse, the deluge/flood (Noah's ark), creation (the whole scene at the end where everything is born again all green). But in order to give birth/to create, one must basically destroy (remember the whole quote from the Demian book from the wings era). So when jungkook blows the conch he is basically calling for that renewal/revolution. To free themselves from the old in order to have the new, so that's why right after you see the whole dance sequence where it is all dark and crazy (looks like a whole battle scene really. And then everything gets set on fire before being born again/ created again.
And then other Jungian archetypes are the wise old man (RM in Noah’s role), The child (this is pretty self-explanatory and it makes sense that V would be the one to be with the child, he has a whole solo in his album called “Inner Child” and it also makes sense that the child is a girl, Carl Jung concept of Anima/animus). Also V in the wings era and throughout the storyline has lost his childhood/adolescence because of the whole murder thing with his father, and he also lost his innocence which is why I feel like the whole blindfold over the little girl's face makes a lot of sense, someone said online that the actress said that she was supposed to represent his little sister and her wearing a blindfold could be him protecting her from reality until things get better, and it also makes sense seeing that the reason he killed his father in the storyline was basically to protect her.
The john the baptist thing could totally be tied to the Noah (wise oldman jungian archetype)/ Noah's ark thing. Both John and Noah were prophets and they were both ridiculed for their beliefs and the messages that they preached (like BTS in the beginning when they were made fun of for their name and their concept, and the way they dressed or did things), both John and Noah were announcers of a new world/ a new change, John announced the coming of Jesus (a new wind of change) and the abolishment of the olden beliefs of the time while Noah announced the Flood which basically destroyed the whole world and as a result a new world was born again (Just like BTS basically paved the way for a whole industry and also they are the forerunners of a new type of art, they are innovative in everything they do and also try to help change their generation, and the world with their music). Also, the dove thing is present in both Noah and John the baptist stories, Noah I believe released a dove to find out whether or not it was safe to go outside after the flood. And that is mirrored when Jin released the dove first before they crossed the wall.
The dove is also a representation of love and peace and freedom which is why Jin was mourning its death so much in the beginning.
Another Jungian archetype is the wise old woman/caretaker (Jin taking the bird home with him, and suffering at seeing the pain around him, in the storyline Jin is also the one who always tries to go back to save everyone and in BTS Jin also happens to be one of the caretakers, taking jungkook to school, cooking on birthdays etc..).
There is also the God archetype which is all-knowing/idolized and tends to lead and be followed (Peep Suga in the church, in an almost sect-like setting with all his followers, who happen to be young people). That archetype is often interchangeable with and is attached to the trickster archetype (in this case may be J-hope because of his whole Munchausen syndrome thing in the storyline and how Loki the trickster god carries a bow and arrow, like J-hope in blood sweat and tears).
But Like I said the two archetypes are closely attached because the trickster archetype can be a god/ a spirit/ a human who has secret knowledge or intellect and uses it to disobey conventions which would explain why his followers are dressed in red and yellow, the colors in that scene I believe reference the 18th-century Scandinavian depiction of the trickster God Loki. {side note: BTS has always taken the role of spokespeople for the youth, and they have always gone against convention, against the system and they always had the expertise and the skills/knowledge on how to deliver their message and their whole name basically takes that into account. And I also thought it interesting that Suga take one the God archetype closely attached to the Trickster archetype considering how there is a running joke in the fandom and the group about how much random information and knowledge he has stored in his brain lol and how close he is to J-hope, they had/have a whole sub-unit/ship name called SOPE}
The robe (red robes to symbolize energy, passion, and action in this case) thing ties to their Fake love era. How? Well back during that time they had to destroy their masks in order to face themselves aka their inner selves. In this map of the soul era, they did confront their shadows but remember that confronting the shadow doesn't mean getting rid of it, it is more like trying to achieve balance, in order to reach individuation, so by accepting and understanding their shadow they have basically broken down the wall between their outer selves and their inner selves which you see dressed in the cloaks like in fake love and by doing that they have basically shattered/destroyed/set on fire their old world and basically made a whole new one (all the green at the end) where everything is balanced persona/shadow/ego. so that is why you see the destruction right after they show up in the red cloaks with jungkook (the announcer) holding the conch signaling the end of the old and the beginning of the new. And that is why instead of the fireballs going towards the shadow figures, they are shot towards us, the viewers and towards the world around them. I mean it is pretty fucking insane how much detail and care went into this. Even the mountain in the mv makes sense if you relate it to the whole noah symbolism. If you relate it to Mount Ararat which is the final resting place of Noah's ark before they literally abandoned it (their only connection to the old world before the flood) and started their life again in the new world after the flood.
There is a connection with their project Connect BTS (global art project) with all the paintings and the setting references and choice of clothing during the mv. Like the bindings on jungkook’s wrists do remind me of the Gormley exhibit in New York, The whole dance scene with the bonfires, and the whole set there remind me of the ritual of care thing, and I believe some people were talking about that on twitter, the whole greenery, the trees, the rivers remind me of Catharsis.
There is also all the references to tracks on the album, like UGH (J-hope being indifferent and singing in front of the corpse being eaten by the raven/crow), Black swan (the abandoned and broken drums in Jimin's scene, signaling abandonment of music/the death of their art), we are bulletproof the eternal (coming together at the end of all the trials crossing the wall together), Ego (Journey to the past) etc...
RM did say that this album was all about rebooting, and rebirth so it makes sense that the mvs main focus would be the journey to that rebirth/reboot. And this is just one of the main things in this mv, there is just so much detail and so many more Easter eggs and clues related to the storyline and the album. They even paid attention to the choices of bird and animals they put in the mv. I would be here all day if I went into all the details. This whole thing is genius.

So BTS' current album is somewhat recalling or going back in time. Now, as you can see there are a lot of people who died (shown during the start) so Jin went back in time to save the people. The little girl who was with V was blind folded like the movie bird box. Eventually he took the blindfold off. This is probably because he didnt want her to see how cruel society is and only wanted her to see the beauty of it. Jungkook was "tied" with the crown with thorns, this made me think he's the protector. In a battle, everything will be easier to destroy when you are able to get the protector. As you can see, he blew the shell/horn and in dna he also whistled, these actions are saying that he wants to get the attention. He wanted to save everyone so he's calling their attention. RM showed up like the movie Noah's arc and also acted up like Moses who went up to Mount Sinai for the 10 commandments. Having that type of structure, (the stone that looked like from the movie Lion King) symbolizes transcendence. Either they want to go beyond their dream which is to live in a simple and happy life or want to go near to heaven like a ziggurat. Hobi went back in time, as you can see he's wearing modern clothes. He symbolized the world today. He was there and didn't care about Jk who was at the back lying and being eaten. Like now, there are fortunate people who are very selfish. Poverty, corruption, that's the world today. The people who showed up when the gates opened were the people who Jin saved since he traveled back in time. And as for the bird, it died but jin traveled so he also saved that. The bird was alone and went back and they were 7. JK was probably the one who was caged and freed and was finally reunited with the 6 members, his hyungs.
The blonde girl resembles the girl in the 'Make it right ft. Lauv' MV, so my theory is that the girl represents Army, because she represented Army in the Make it right MV. If you noticed, the barrier opened when Tae held hands with the girl and they stood together, she was almost like a 'key', so maybe it's hinting that Army is the key to BTS overcoming their barriers.

It represents their whole journey. They all were struggling, they were hurt or injured somehow, the injured bird represent the maybe failure of hopes but somehow they manage to meet up + I think it has something to do with going back in time thing.
They meet the girl who represents ARMY. Everyone has these intense theories, but I really think it's all about resurrection/ redemption. A lot of these movie themes have to do with that (the dove and the shell horn representing peace, etc.) so they all have their own storylines that lead them to going "beyond the wall" leading army (the girl and the followers) to a place of peace and dreams. It's really just drawing cinematic parallels between their own journey and the journey's undertaken by religious figures and movie protagonists.
