I love and appreciate everything Charlotte and the previous line up did, but things are what they are and time to look forward to the future of the band. That being said, I think this song is a good indicator of what's to come. I think Diana is more than qualified for the job and I really like her voice and she seems to be quite a good fit. It's kind of like the Nightwish thing. It's pointless to get caught up in comparing one singer to the others or who you think was or is better than who. Just appreciate them all for what they brought to the table and move forward. This is of course just my opinion. Yours may differ. I'm personally very much looking forward to the new Delain album. I have a feeling it will not disappoint.
If this is the new version of Delain, I think I’m going to love it. Diana Leah seems to be taking over from Charlotte seamlessly, even sounds like her in parts of this new song. Great. ❤️🤘🎸🇦🇺
enjoyed the old Delain, was sorry to see them break up, Charlotte has a beautiful voice, but this young lady is sounding pretty good, look forward to some more from them, looks promising
I will reserve making a final determination, but Diana appears to be a worthy successor to Charlotte. I hope this track forebodes great things for the basically re-imagining of Delain. Well done.
Diana is new and I miss Charlotte for Delain tbh... But I am willing to give Diana a chance. I read she had been a long time fan of Delain and she's basically living the fangirl dream now, which was awfully cute. I'm curious to see where they'll go with the new lineup 😁.
I'm not really into Delain, but I know that Charlotte was singer there and now I'm little surprised that they have different singer... What happened with Charlotte?
@@tamashii6670 She left. After the 3 guys left she didn't want to restart the band with a new line-up. So she left Martijn on his own. Former bandmember Ronald Landa and Sander Zoer returned in the band and Rob van der Loo (now bassplayer of Epica) returned for the album. After that they found a new permanent bassplayer in Ludovico Cioffi and a new incredible singer in Diana Leah.

Visually, she has a similar appearance and overall vibe like the new Xandria vocalist, Ambre Vourvahis. Seriously gorgeous. I have to laugh tho in this video every time they cut from her in her fancy outfit with the cool head ornament to the guy just wearing a regular t-shirt. Her voice is beautiful. When she went into that more operatic style and hit those high notes... chefs kiss. I'm excited to see how she grows as a vocalist. When you compare Charlotte in those earlier Delain albums to her final album, the growth is obvious, so I imagine we'll see a similar trajectory here. I also hope we get Marko back for some duets with Diana. Overall, like Xandria's 'Reborn,' this seems like a really good return for the band and a great introduction to the new vocalist. It's for sure got me super stoked for what's to come.

Now, on to something else - when you reviewed Visions of Atlantis, you opined that the true rise of symphonic rock/metal was largely the result of Nightwish (and some others). I would respectfully disagree - the true genesis came before you were born. I submit the following for your reaction - Renaissance - especially the crystalline angelic voice and amazing range of Annie Haslam and the superb orchestration and arrangements. They were well known for their exceptionally long and complex intros (hence the 13+ minute run time) and numerous tempo changes and breaks. Please set aside sufficient time to take on this masterpiece...."Can You Hear Me" from 1976.
