about 3 hrs and 30 mins, the trail is right passed cherry lake.
Do you need permits or anything? What’s a good time to go?
yes, the permits for this area is free, you can call groveland ranger station or stanislaus ranger station, best times to go are may- mid october
permits are always required for overnight camping (wilderness permit) only for overnight camping, if you are only going to day hike it you dont need a permit.
