Did you use primer? I consider Tamiya my Favorite spray even though I've had the same issue. It's more work but here's how I resolved it. I spray some paint into the lid. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes. You want the paint to thicken some. I'll use a fine brush and go ver the high parts like your hood ridge and door seems. let dry, then lightly wet sand with fine wet sanding paper / clothe. Then apply another coat or 2. Hope that helps Nick? I'll be watching
Did you prime it? I hate to see that happened to you Nick hope the black wash helps I finally got to spend some time on my entry I didn’t do many update videos but I think I can get it done by the weekend
Some Tamiya paints are really thin. Some go on nice right away. I've tried that color and it's a thin one. Their white is also thin, as well as some others I have tried. Some of their metallics are also that way - in which case I use another Tamiya color (usually a flat military color) as a base. It's not anything that you did.
looking good Nick.. thx 4 sharing.. vinny

Thank you. Yes i did prime. I always prime 👍😎
The more lacquer in the paint the more likely for it to act up…. Most times it’s not the builder…I had issues on a recent kit I built.

Yes i did prime. I always prime before painting. I think it's just because Tamiya is a thin paint.
Sorry it did that Nick I’m sure you’ll make look great when you finish it
