    • @stackcycler
      @stackcycler ปีที่แล้ว +20

      If you want to get really fast, the key is to get away from a "typing" mindset and towards a "sliding" mindset. The site allows you to make as many errors as you want, as long as the alphabet is also in there in order. So you ideally want low profile keycaps with as much rollover as possible and then slide your fingers across the keyboard along the alphabet.

    Tom is such a good speaker. He really didn't lie when he said he writes scripts in his voice - this whole podcast he sounded like he was giving a scripted, pre-plannedpresentation. It almost felt surreal every time I heard the others respond - like people giving unscripted comments that somehow perfectly fit into Tom's presentation.

The not-at-all misbehaving elephant, the Simon-Groom-esque sheep farm, how to build an emoji keyboard from washing-up liquid bottles and sticky-back plastic. 48:00 That is a thing I think is most impressive for Linus Tech Tips. He has over many years successfully transformed HIS TH-cam Channel into a TH-cam Channel of his media-group where many of the personalities seen in the videos nowadays have their own personality and pretty much even their own Fans.
    And that while still being called LINUS Tech Tips, just that Linus now stands more for LMG (Linus Media Group) and not the person Linus

Or is it because all of those people are working on the newer channel alot, since they are the ones he trusts the most, or its both since if they are on the newer channels more that would be channel that would start from zero with the other hosts

    found this channel 1 year late.. I love Tom Scott's stuff and that's how I found it and how I didn't realize Marques did this podcast is funny. I'm subbed to him too.

    The small bits of references Tom makes to Internet events that I am also interested or even invested in makes me respect him so much more. I couldn't tell you why, but the fact that he made a reference to licking the bitter nintendo switch cartridges just made my day.
    It's like he's also just a dude who is very much online and is up to date on what everyone else is interested in.

    Tom Scott should host a video on Answer in Progress. That would be really cool

    Really cool to hear Tom shout out Coast. I have often felt that some of Tom's videos would have slot perfectly into a segment on a magazine show like that. He should change his name to Tom Morrow and make a show talking about the products and technologies of the future. It would be called Tom Morrow's World.

    Loving this episode. About youtube channels being connected to one single presenter - I would say this is very similar to how many current huge brands started ... Ford, Porsche, Disney, Benz (Mercedes), Bata (shoes company), Louis Vuitton,... I would guess in 30 years time, some of these current youtube channels will turn into something like that - Linus Tech Tips seems to be really evolving in this direction for example.

    What’s funny is that I hadn’t realized what Tom Scott was. It really is like a TV show. In the old, more innocent times of television. So cool! We aren’t all that different, us generations!
