I'll never forget in the 70s, watching SNL actually LIVE 'cause we were in Central time, and suddenly "Hi, I'm President Gerald Ford and you're not." I just about DIED laughing! My respect for him grew considerably after that (I turned 15 in 1976 when he was running for election.) I also fell on him and no, HE didn't fall on ME, lol!
The Dr. Evil cameo is funnier if you consider that Dr. Evil's mannerisms and way of speaking started as an backstage impression Dana Carvey did of Lorne Michaels. Apparently cast members coming up with funny impressions of Lorne Michaels is kind of a tradition over the years at SNL.
Not really. I was born in '80 but I used to see the SNL repeats and I did see that episode. That's how I also remember Dan Akroyd and Steve Martin as the Two Wild & Crazy Guys. I may not have seen it live, but I still saw it haha
SNL studio audience was already delighted enough at the surprise appearance of pop superstar Madonna, but even the Material Girl herself was starstruck when the legendary Barbra Streisand popped in ." Zero mention of Roseanne sitting on the couch. LOL!!!
The GREATEST cameo that never happened- Lorne Michaels offed a check for a Beatles reunion , John and Paul were watching at Jphn's apt and almost actually went to the SNL Studio
What about Mick Jagger's unannounced duet with Peter Tosh during the latter's performance of "Don't Look Back"? Or even Art Garfunkel's appearance to take Charles Grodin's Art Garfunkel wig during the former's bit with Paul Simon?
Correction: They were not in the middle of praising Streisand's singing voice...They were praising the recently-released "The Prince Of Tides". Liz/Madonna: "The movie was like buttah!" Linda/Michael: "Like buttah!" Liz's Mom/Roseanne: "Like a big sticka buttah!" Liz: "Mamala! Oy!" ... Barbra: "All this talk about food girls I'm getting hungry!"
18:20 - Oh, this brought back a favorite memory from well over 30 years ago! Heading to the Broadway Baby on Amsterdam Ave., my girlfriend and I were engrossed in our conversation when a small group suddenly exited one of New York's countless eateries. The five of us collided. Everyone was quick to apologize to everyone else, and then we went our separate ways. We made it three steps when my girl and I realized that we'd just crashed into Steve Martin, Victoria Tennant, (Steve's wife at the time), and Paul Simon! Ours was not a brush with fame, but a collision. 😆
Let's not forget when Joe Pesci was guest hosting, became part of the NBC Tour Guide sketch ... and Robert DeNiro and Ray Liota show up to give him advice. Priceless!
Maybe Scarlett Johansson cameoing as Sen. Katie Britt wasn't surprising when you consider her husband is Colin Jost, but it was for those who didn't know!
My favorite type of cameo is when they interrupt or trade places with someone impersonating them. It would be so funny if its an impersonator, then next time it cuts back to them, its the real person
There's a great one in 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown where one of the comedians (Greg Davies) does a horrible impression of Chris Eubank (former professional boxer) and his lisp during a few guest appearances. In one, Chris Eubank shows up and it scares the sh*t out of him. I love slowing down the speed to watch Greg's face when he realizes it's really Chris Eubank.
You missed one of the funniest cameos of all time. When Jerry Hall (Mick Jagger's girl friend) was the guest host and in the middle of a skit with Jerry and Jon Lovitz (as the eternal liar of course) unannounced, in walks Mick Jagger who absolutely kills doing his own version of the perpetual liar. It was one of the funniest skit of all time on SNL
2:20.... NO. NO. NUNUNUNUNO.... You can't tell us that it's the "Mandela Effect" then have THE ACTUAL LUKE SKYWALKER say the line that was apparently never in the movie to begin with. I understand Chris said it in Tommy Boy, but then, WHY DID MARK SAY IT IF IT'S NOT ACTUALLY IN THE MOVIE?
Dicaprio should have been higher. He is considered the biggest actor, the bit was really funny, and it's probably the only time he will appear on the show.
I understand why you’d say that. And I understand why he’d prefer that; his dating history is clear evidence he prefers to avoid anything with high numbers.
Very interesting video but WAY too much talking by the narrator and not very much audio of the skits. Needed to be evened out. But I still thoroughly enjoyed it.
With all the political appearances, I'm surprised George Bush appearing via satellite to Dana Carvey in his cold opening returning to host the show isn't on here... considering he took some flack for it from critics who didn't feel a former president should be making appearances on television for the purpose of comedy. You know, back when people whined about stuff like that. But I guess it wouldn't be prudent at this juncture. 🤷♂
This would have been much better if there wasn’t someone talking over the videos and ruining the surprises. Why is watch mojo so in love with their own voices.

Ya'll too young to remember George Harrison's cameo trying to get that Beatles check from Lorne.
Guilty as charged, when that happened?.
@@edu-kt Sort of a cameo. He was a musical guest. November 1976.
@@skoolbus thank you.

Well, Roseanne has went from the couch to the crazy bin so we don't mention her anymore.
The GREATEST cameo that never happened- Lorne Michaels offed a check for a Beatles reunion , John and Paul were watching at Jphn's apt and almost actually went to the SNL Studio
I mean George did come on and play on the “offer”
Vader never said “luke i am your father” he said “no… I am your father”
Ahhaa !! We knew he said,’ Luke I am your father 😂
In the wake of his passing, the Trebeck cameo hits a little differently...
#29 hahaha Glenn's face is priceless 😂
What about Mick Jagger's unannounced duet with Peter Tosh during the latter's performance of "Don't Look Back"? Or even Art Garfunkel's appearance to take Charles Grodin's Art Garfunkel wig during the former's bit with Paul Simon?
Christopher Walker as the Ghost of Halloween, just last year. I laughed until I cried!
14:12 ~ EMOTIONAL DAMAGE!!! 🤣🤣🤣
Where's Lindsay Buckingham in "What up with that?"
I never would have imagined that there were two of them this whole time.😁
21:20 Great acting! Martin was able to set his glass down before falling down!

I will always enjoy the skit that the rock did where he was Nick o trel and the cameos of Mick Foley ,Paul Levesque and The big show was classic

I especially liked the part where we got to hear Pitt doing Fauci. Thanks for blabbering all the way through that! 👍
so many laughs here thanks!
9:40 I love that Dr. Evil is based on Lorne hahaha
Lin-Manuel Miranda as Julian Castro was awesome!!
The Lady Gaga and Madonna cameo was pretty great
This was interesting. Thank you
Let's not forget when Joe Pesci was guest hosting, became part of the NBC Tour Guide sketch ... and Robert DeNiro and Ray Liota show up to give him advice. Priceless!

You guys did an amazing job

👏🏼 Excellent montage from an epic show!
That narrator is the best
Came here for the obama cameo, done in first 3 seconds. Thanks Mojo
The Will Farrell and Janet Reno sketch was both strange and hilarious at the same time
Just one question. What's Obama's last name?
@TiffanyTalkTalesdarude sandstorm
@manish_78 not funny and to soon
😂
President Obama 😂😂😂
The CIA has deleted it from public knowledge. 😂
One of my faves is Tony Bennett doing a cameo on The Tony Bennett Show opposite Alec Baldwin. That sketch always cracks me up. :)
Amazing
Where was Bob Dole??? Norm MacDonald doing the impersonation in front of him & BD going along w/ it was one of the best cameos.
People these days forget, before he was Bond, Craig was co-staring in movies like A Kid in King Arthur's Court, lol
SNL has the best cameos. 🎉
This should include the recent appearance of Kate McKinnon as Ms. Rafferty when Ryan Gosling just hosted lol!
The Alien abuction skits with Ryan and Kate are THE best SNL ever did.
Jesse Jackson reading Green Eggs and Hàm better be on here
Too much commentary in between
Or more specifically, WAY too much commentary blathering OVER the audio of the best lines in the actual cameo!?!
It’s very nice to just enjoy all these skits without talking over them.
Great video. Just wish the actors didn’t keep talking over the brilliant narrative.
Paul McCartney ❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉
Nice video
My favorite will always be Matt Damon as Squee's buddy, Kavanaugh.

2:17 Mandela Effect moment.
I love judge Judy
Elizabeth Olsen! She had a cameo when Benedict Cumberbatch last hosted and it was GOLDEN
So he says Luke I am your father but that’s not the line 🤔
Right I was wondering the same thing
He knows he did it wrong, just to see who gets triggered :-)
Brad Pitt deserved that nomination. That was hilarious and heartfelt
You forgot Mick Jagger!!!
Michelle Pfeiffer / Michelle Yeoh
/ Michelle Williams
Michael Douglas / Michael Keaton
/ Michael J. Fox
What about Mark Wahlberg coming on and confronting Andy Samberg.
A recent one would be Caitlin Clark. I am certain that Michael Che didn't realize she was coming onto Weekend Update.
Rudy and field of dreams always, a lesser known one was frequency with Denis Quaid. " I'm still here chief" if ya know ya know
Taylor Swift was a good cameo
... and now to go and watch the Katy Perry Elmo T-Shirt sketch.
Lindsey Buckingham?
Madonna at number five and one feels correct 👑
Wasn't it a Mandela effect the line "Luke, I'm your father"??
There have been a lot of good ones. I liked Lindsey Buckingham and quite recent ones by Scarlett Johansson and Caitlyn Clark.
Shouldn't it be the Top 29? You can't do Madonna twice
Stevie Wonder, with Eddie Murphy & Joe Piscipo
I dont think you can call it a cameo if there the host thats just being in a skit lol
2:20.... NO.
Neil Diamond on the same episode as Alex Trebek
I’ve like number 20
Chadwick Boseman on Black Jeopardy!
Definitely doesn't belong on this list....it wasn't a cameo.
boseman was the host, everyone knew he would be there. a "cameo" is an unexpected appearance.
Dicaprio should have been higher. He is considered the biggest actor, the bit was really funny, and it's probably the only time he will appear on the show.
I understand why you’d say that. And I understand why he’d prefer that; his dating history is clear evidence he prefers to avoid anything with high numbers.
Jonah was fantastic in their segment.
Emilia Clark, Rose Leslie, and John Bradley
Triple H, Big Show, and Vince McMahon.
Has he come out yet
If Tracy Morgan is an icon ANYONE can be one
Very interesting video but WAY too much talking by the narrator and not very much audio of the skits. Needed to be evened out. But I still thoroughly enjoyed it.
Joe Pesci is hilarious!!
20:53 sorry this watch mojo clip ran out of time 😊
He was the goat Akira Toriyama 🖤💙🧡🧡💙🧡🧡🧡💛
Vincent D'onofrio/Detective Robert Goren (Clinton/Barack Obama debate - 01 March 2008- Elliott Page was the host)
I’m playing number 18 two
With all the political appearances, I'm surprised George Bush appearing via satellite to Dana Carvey in his cold opening returning to host the show isn't on here... considering he took some flack for it from critics who didn't feel a former president should be making appearances on television for the purpose of comedy. Diane Warwick
thats way to much comentary and way ro less of the actual scenes!
This would have been much better if there wasn’t someone talking over the videos and ruining the surprises. Why is watch mojo so in love with their own voices.
because potential copyright issues and because if they didn’t, it wouldn’t really be original content.
Dave Chappelle was hilarious in The Nutty Professor, although his jokes may seem too cruel in our present sensitive culture.
joe pesci 👍
Keenan had Gaga and Madonna on him
LUCKY MAN
Always a cameos
Never not a cameo!
Im sorry but SNL Alumn being ranked over genuine surprise guests is kinda weird to me...
Is it that shocking that Steve martin would come back? Lol
Obama is awesome
Daniel "CREGG"?
Um....freaking Mandela Effect anyone?? Even Mark Hamill quotes it as "Luke I am your father" vs what people saying now, "No, I am your father"
Nope.
Just wrong.
Obama is his last name😅😅😅😅derp
Could the narrator just shut up for 5 seconds?
25:40 Obama
❤
#9 why did you put #9 in your list? That makes No sense
I was hoping to watch and listen to these cameos, but thankfully a woman spoke over them all.
Weirdly..... the Pitt one hasn't aged well. Though I'd hazard right at the time I suppose.
Never showed George Bush.
