Your new car is beautiful. I wasn’t sure if I would find my way back here when the STI sold. The quality of your content is stellar and I agree that this is the best version of the M3. Congrats and I’m glad you decided to move on. I’ll miss sharing a car together, but your personality and attention to detail is unmatched on TH-cam and that will never get old. I just added a GRC Morizo to my garage today. My STI will remain my daily and is where it is because of your videos. The EWG never gets old. I hope these BMW owners are able to show you the same appreciation.

Those competition wheels have got to be some of the best looking factory wheel options. Excited to see what exhaust modifications you will do to make the M3 sound more pleasant.
They definitely are a favorite of mine. These cars look awesome with them spaced out and the car lowered.

I honestly love the way the S55 sounds. I don’t see anything wrong with it at all
I do as well. The valves are what makes it sound a bit funky. With them open, it sounds great. It reminds me a lot of my e46 and has similar sound characteristics.
This car is absolutely beautiful inside and out. What a great place to start modding from.
3 years ago I traded my 2007 Hawkeye STI for a 2017 M3 Competition DCT mineral grey/red interior. ZERO problems, and absolutely do not regret my decision. I do miss the STI from time to time. But when I see how good my F80 looks in the sun with the windows rolled down and seeing the red interior I forget about the STI 🤌
How much did you get the F80 for?

I have an sti and was looking to trade to an f80 as well, so I was really surprised when you got your f80, the only thing is for this car specifically i prefer the dct over manual. Love my manual but as a daily the dct is best of both worlds.
Dct is a great transmission and ideal if you use the car as a daily.

In my personal opinion, this is the best looking 3 series! After this I’d give it to the e46.
Definitely try the CS edc coding, makes the ZCP ride so much better
F80 is the sexiest modern m3 no doubt

Just about everything haha. Forums, all the car sites, auction sites. I searched high and low for a solid 4 months for the right one.

@@Scoobyfreak86 thanks you man! Mine isn’t gonna be off a car lot but an auction one if I do get it (do rebuilds on the channel in free time) crank hub is number one thing I got worrying me about the car.
Crankhub is one of those things that is a bit overhyped. Yes, it can happen, but there is always an Achilles heel to any sports car. People come to the internet to sort issues, complain, and ask for help. Not to let you know their car is running great.

Are these cars reliable? There is a 2021 BMW 330i that’s for 30k in my area, or should I get a 2023 Honda Civic Touring for same price?
They are very reliable when cared for. That goes for any car. A 330 and a Honda civic are very different cars, so it depends on what you are looking for overall.

August 2018. October 18 was the last month they were produced.
the f81 isn't a real BMW car it was custom made first wagon is the new g81 m3

I’ve always loved the M3s, but BMW maintenance scares me.
Same philosophy as I preached with the STI. Take care of the car and it will take care of you.
I agree, but the cost of maintenance on a Japanese car vs a German one is huge.
@@GA08GT478I think it is simpler on Japanese cars too. I love working on Japanese cars vs. American cars. Everything is laid out better and is simpler to disassemble. I haven’t actually worked on European cars, though but I’d imagine it isn’t as simple as Japanese cars.
