I am hyped to see new vespids. I always thought the Tau should kind of be like the covenant from Halo. A massive collection of alien races, and we got new Kroot so it’s nice to see new vespids as well! I would love for some of the other Tau species to also get models, many are mentioned in name only and don’t even have official pictures.
Would be fantastic, and Kill Team is a great way to introduce these kinds of kits that wouldn't necessarily justify a big release on their own but are great for fleshing out factions or adding visual flavour (see Night Lords and Krieg)
If they ever do a full refresh of the main T'au, they should definitely include alternative heads. It doesn't have to be for all of them in case they still want the fish to be the main T'au, but a few would be good enough to showcase the diversity.
There was a point in the lore where it seemed like GW was going to ditch the other races and focus on Tau mech suits instead
the tau were meant to be like the covenant originally, loved all their lore of all the different races and all we ever got was a handful of kroot and vespids. Bollocks to the mechs where are the perfect excuse for crazy xenos minis?
Hell yeah, jokearo should join the tau
Also this isn't really a new narrative, this started in Psychic Awakening in the book "Greater Good". I think GW is trying to establish these warzone so we can associate to them like old ones like Armageddon and Cadia.
And Kill Team has already had a Chalnath expansion, the Novitiates vs Pathfinders box. It seems to be the No Space Marines warzone so I actually suspect they'll be pretty sparse during all this, though not absent.
Challenge: Redditors not being constantly wrong about everything
Difficulty: Impossible
So true!
Can't believe Valrak was actually right
Course he's right. He's a double agent that gets passed information on by GW. It's advertising genius by them.
@@Snakerak000 best bit is he probably doesnt have a clue its sanctioned by GW.
As a kill team player I don't really want a new edition of kill team
As a KT player I don’t really want yet another human team…
they need to do something about obscuring at least 😂 so many newcomers get turned off at how complicated LoS is on the first play and its kinda sad seeing these newbies come and go due to it
I think this is a new season with new rules of play like Gallowdark and not a new edition . Valrak doesn’t know anything about Kill Team so I think he wouldn’t be able to tell the difference.
Ditto, can anyone think of problems with 2nd edition? Really seems unnecessary and also we’ll have to read the new rules.
This x100000000
I’m just blown away they are doing jump pack Tempestus and not elysian drop troops
Im really in a tricky spot with warhammer atm, as a painter, ive really reached the breaking point with the prices
I dont want to quit but to not even be able to play the game its just too expensive now
I recommend comissioning 3d printed models. It's significantly cheaper (about 1/3rd of the price) and still looks great. Although there's the disadvantage of not being able to bring these models to tournaments, if painting is the main thing you enjoy about wh40k there's not really a disadvantage. Theres several discord servers you can join through disboard or wtv that can get you started.
You and I both, I haven't brought any Warhammer models in months, I've not painted in months, and I've lost all hobby motivation to the point where I am looking into different game systems
I know you’ve probably heard this before and it might not be feasible for you, but have you thought about 3d printing? It’s a whole new hobby and has breathed some fresh life into it for me.
I left with a heavy heart awhile ago. I can't justify it especially when I can print and buy 3rd party models for sometimes 1/4 or less the price.
@@avocato1135 I bought a 3d printer and this weekend printed a $175 spearhead for $20. 3D printing has reinvigorated my desire to play warhammer, I've re-fallen in love.
Fingers crossed for Vespid and Elysian Drop Troops!
Vespids and Harakoni Warhawks fr
I would prefer venetari and vespid but yea that already sounds like a good box
honestly i see death watch's fate being a section in the imperial agents codex
Kill team is an underrated game. So much fun and you don't need to paint hundreds of models.
Also scions.. THEY FLY NOW???
I love scions their armor looks so sick. I am 100% on board with them getting some love. this will be a probably going to buy box for me.
kill team is my way I get friends into Warhammer I say paint one box of necrons and we can go.
Auspex Tactics and Hobby Waffle both done videos on this last night too, now you are confirming - it’s happening!
Where do you think they get their info from
i'll be honest, as an avid killteam player i'm really not looking forward to flying teams, harlequins were a mess until they finally knee-capped them by basically getting rid of their flying rules.
100% agreed - flying teams seem to be a gimmick to force existing players to buy new teams, which is ironic considering most KT players can’t get the existing teams due to supply issues
it's clear they will change the fly keyword to make it more mechanically interesting
BUT WILL THERE BE TERRAIN IN THE BOX VALRAK?!?!?!?!
TERRAIN. CONFIRMED.
Harakoni Warhawks. Give us Harakoni Warhawks. Dudes are badass beyond reason.
Tyranid gargoyles would make so much sense
And a New édition.
Gargouilles ATM are 2000's😅
RIP Deathwatch. At least to have Blood Angels.
What’s happening with DW? I heard they’re merging with Agents of Inquisition. That’s not RIP is it?
Deathwatch literally confirmed to be involved in Chalnath in new White Dwarf
@@Inquisitor_Vex There's been no Munitorum points update to DW Kill Teams (Proteus, Fortis, Indomnitor, etc. ) or Firstborn units (Deathwatch Terminators, Deathwatch Bikers) since the start of the edition until the latest balance patch adjusted Deathwatch Veterans & Watchmasters. Precedent with other armies is when units aren't adjusted, they're dropped. There's a good chance only Deathwatch Veterans & Watchmasters will remain playable and only as Imperial Agents allied to other armies. :'(
It makes sense, lots of a units that require a refresh in 40k are flying infantry units.
Vespids, Scourges, Swooping Hawks, Stormboyz, Vanguard veterans, Elysian Jump troops, Gargoyles, Raptors, Venetari.
And many more factions could use some jumpacks/flying units. Leagues of Votann, Genestealer Cults, Admech, Agents of the Imperium, Chaos Daemons, Necrons.
The only thing is that I hope they dont change to much, because im really happy with how kill team plays at the moment. We'll see what the future holds.
Whats going on the background there? The shelves are half empty? Is GW taking pictures of your Imperial Fists? New Imperial Fists Codex confirmed?
Hey Valrak you should tell the Whispers in the Warp to release new Catachan minis ;)
And steel legion
And Vostroyans
And a Tallarn upgrade sprue to convert Cadians into Tallarn
I'm as hyped as i can be for new Scions - my boys in blue really needed some love after all the stuff we lost since psychic awakening
"Flying tempestus"? Could this be "Elysian droptroopers"?
So when is the Guard going to get an Elysian themed kill team - if the new focus is on flying units?
I hope we get the Votann jump pack squad! Rock and Stone!
Agreed after the Yaegirs another unit that could give us further board control
Rock & Stone 🤙🏻
I'm a very Greedy Dwarf I heard that Killteam is moving to the skies and I immediately thought are we going to get jump back Kin somewhere!? Lol
I mean they've taken down the Hernkyn Salvagers now
Well jump pack Scions will kill the possibility of Elysian Jump Troops....
Forget the terrain, give us more models, or bits to customize them with
This war zone is that Sisters of battle vs tau boxset they released. Incase anyone forgot.
Also is the same warzone that started in Psychic Awakening in the "Greater Good" book with T'au, GSC and Astra Militarum.
Kill Team 3rd Edtion is being demoed at GenCon
Feedback is ?
@DMDuncan37 not sure. I tried to get a slot but my kid wanted Pokémon. 😅
@@Glenn138horror damn 😅
The new edition needs to have rules for elite units and leaders like they did in the first edition (2018).
I think Blooded had a cool way of doing it. Want to add elite units? Counts as two selections.
Hopefully this will also herald the arrival of new plastic Swooping Hawks for the Craftworlds.
never question the whispers
Well well well
Why didn't you tell Mr. Workshop to make Elysians? 🧐
So the whispers of the warp have been right once more. You love to see it
Personally, i don't know if we need a 3rd edition of kill team, but there are so many factions that need bespoke kill teams
And maybe not just units repackaged as kill teams. Please GW?
As an Ork player, leave our Stormboyz alone!! This kit is fine and works fairly well with the other older multipart kits...
If you really want to do an Ork kit for Kill Team, *THEN WOT ABOUT DA TANKBUSTAS YA RUDDY GITZ?!!*
But seriously, give the likes of 1kSons, Death Guard, World Eaters, etc... some fun Kill Team kits.
Or maybe use Kill Team to launch new versions for say, Grey Hunters and/or Blood Claws in new Mk10 armour, etc, etc...
I can't even buy the kill team I would like to get as gw hasnt released it separately, and im not paying a dirty slimy scalper 3x the price😢
Rumour:
This time geometric shapes won´t be used as a range ruler. Instead Confucian riddles are used to determine, if your weapons are in range.
I wonder what a second Necron kill team would look like considering the last one was unusual when it comes to the Necron range.
If they are leaning towards flying units, the only thing we really have is the Praetorians, scarab swarms and tomb blades.
Im hoping for a new edition that is more of an update with more universal rules, go back to inches rather than shapes and either drop the obscuring rule or give it a complete re-write. Hope the votann get their jump pack units for the version.
Agree, i am newplayer kt, the shapes it's ridiculus and infantilizing 🤦
@@DMDuncan37going back to inches with give the developers as lot more flexibility and give weapons and movement more of balancing attribute. If you have a choice of a plasma pistol or a bolt pistol you're always going to go for the former. But if the bolt pistol has a range of 10" and a plasma pistol a range of 6" then there is a legit reason to consider the bolt pistol.
That was my immediate thought we were already treated to a beautiful new Killteam/Unit with Yaegirs but if we are getting Lads & Lasses with jump packs I'd be very happy!
The Hernkyn Salvagers have been removed now I believe also
@@JackRabbit002 personally im hoping for free updates on all this editions kill teams to bring them in line with the new edition, like they didnt with warcry. I hope the salvagers get rules and they are my main in kill team. I have just finished off the Yaegirs last night. So look forward to trying them out in the future.
As a scion fan, I’m hyped.
Guilliman meets Commissar Caine would be ace.
ScamRak confirmed as shadow-CEO of GW
I hope this mean there will be a deathwatch kill team with jump packs sometime in the future.
Man that means if there's flying units I'll finally be able to use raptors in kill team. Can't wait to spam the kill team group when it's 100% confirmed. They took out the pitch forks and torches on me a few months ago when I mentioned that current edition was three years old and due for a new one in gw's schedule
“The new edition of AoS in bombing?! Hurry, push out a new edition of KT so we can please the investors!”
- GW
What do you mean "hurry"? GW games have been on a 3 year edition cycle for ages.
Hope we get Skyclaws, a precursor to the Space Wolves refresh
As a Firehowlers Great Company player, I cannot 'thumbs up' this comment enough! ;-)
The 40k narrative event at warhammer world in November is all around this law.
The end of the event blurb says "you'll even help to forge the ongoing narrative of warhammer 40,000 through your games"
The event is linked to the narrative event that happens in the US on the same weekend.
Supposedly the US held a similar event last year or so, where the wins/Losses actually appeared in 40k Law?
I'll be attending the event at WW. Really excited to see what happens in this new narrative.
Flying tempestus scions or Elysian drop troops??
Id definitely prefer the latter
Scions.
@@ChapterMasterValrak boo :(
@@UrunianScions rule, Elysians drool
I'm really not a fan of the elitification of the imperial guard... we need better horde options. Spamming tanks and special ops units isnt rhe way I want to play. I want conscripts back.
New Raptors/Warp Talon sculpts maybe? Especially after they unloaded all their excess plastic in that battleforce box.
New edition of kill team seems unneeded
Never played Kill Team but I’m getting into it soon
Hopefully that means new raptors/warp talons will eventually be coming down the line
Dammit I just finished painting my Gallowdark terrain for Kill Team.
Looks like I have Gallowdark Necromunda terrain now.
I ain't even mad.
Nothing better than a happy cow being milked.😂
@@CaptainFancyCat well you see I'm more biologically similar to a bull.
So you might not wanna drink that milk.
But I do appreciate the silky smooth hands the farmer had.
@@elijahherstal776 Unfortunately, that isn't a farmer. Its Larry fink and he's hungry for more. Pace yourself.
@@CaptainFancyCat it's okay, I got free money from his people because I put up a rainbow flag last month and didn't use the N word.
if the focus of this kill team edition is flying, space marines probably will have the vanguard veteran squad kill team
The BL-thing explains a lot because the book-releases have really slowed down. Or well ALL GW-releases have slowed down and I for one think it is good! When they pump out stuff all the time, I can barely wrap my head around one thing before the next is announced! But thye certainly needs to get on with the books because The End and Death vol. 3 is still unavailable!
So at what point has GW "confirmed the rumours" aside from a single paragraph about conflict between some factions? A potential hint about Chalnath isnt "theres a new edition coming with flying units"
We know of the Chalnath expanse, its where the Tau got their portal hop point, where the Tau Chaos God did silly things.
Alright, I just buyed Skaventide and said "no more big Warhammer boxes for a while" since I still have to finish more than 10 armies yet, but if Games Workshop will release a new edition of Kill Team, well that would be a problem lol. The two options are than I will finish all my armies before that, or just add them to the pile of shame. I believe that the more realistic one is the latter ahah
War Zone Chalnath was described in Deathwatch 9th edition Supplement
It's even older then that. It was in 8th ed. Psychic Awakening.
@@VedaRa501Ah, yes!
i was wondering why Gargoyles where left out of the Tyranid refresh, cause they seriously need new models, i did hear a rumor that Gargoyles will be getting said refresh in Kill Team actually. and since its talking about GSC's (genestealer cults) in the smurf territory, perhaps we can see models based off specific cults mainly the Behemoid undercult.
All I want is new Phoenix Lords and Warp Spiders
Much more Chalnath lore in new White Dwarf as well. There's a story with the focus on Kroot and lore that includes various factions including DW
So, the switch in editors probably means more stuff like the "Female" Custodes. There is definitely a couple people with integrity at GW, but probably not for long. Most have been leaving.
Jesus,do you guys ever take a break 😂
Couldn’t be less hyped for Vespid
Lets gooo, for the greater good!!!
I am a bit confused about the "genestealer cult" thing, since we just got a box with them, and we have 2 genestealer cults kill teams
We JUST had a new edition of Kill Team. If they're doing this, I hope they're making the game even faster to play.
the game will take 4 minutes per match, jhon gamesworkshop confirmed
Hopefully Elysians!
We got genestealer guard before the traitor guard
Nice, Valrak do you know when we can expect new edition of killteam?
Do I detect an incoming Foilrak Vindication video? I have been hoping for a while that you were correct about those Scions.
Anybody else notice the Gee Dub youtube channel release a how to paint Lamenters space marines vid yesterday? Foil-rak!
Jump pack intercessors would be nice in killteam😊
So when are we getting a bespoke Custodes kill team?
What I want space marines in red berets.
Vindicated Valrak is my fav!
New Models you say? NEW VESPID PLEASE!?
I'm so tired of the factions missing bespoke teams being ignored to give multiple to those who already have them. There are still 5 factions, including Deathwatch, who only have basic compendium rules, while World Eaters continue to remain the only 40K faction with no rules at all. Last time a faction that was missing got rules was Gallowfall with the Hearthkyn Salvagers, and last time a faction that didn't have a bespoke team got one was the Hand of the Archon.
How to get rid of terrain , put flying units everywhere.
Vespids sounds nice , the rest of it ? Meh. The burn and churn of editions is so tiresome. Unless you live warhammer how are you supposed to keep up ? I just kinda ignore their editions at this point.
If there's a new terrain set is it likely to get released in its own box like the nachmund terrain?
Alright bois time to add jump packs to the Intercession kill team
I dont mind if they add more units like dreadnoughts, chaplains and etc
As someone who’s who’s been painting a 40K army but finds learning how to play a game daunting task. Do people recommend Kill Team an easier place to start?
Let's go. I play 40k, i start kt.
The rules are différents but simple 👌
What is the "alpha asset" that was mentioned and must be protected?
Long shot but here’s hoping for Shrikes if gargoyles are to be refreshed as well
No kidding; shrikes for the Tyranid prime to lead in 40k
I wonder if DW will get a KT unit in the new season. GW recently seems perfectly fine giving us actual units for 40k in KT such as the scouts and striking scorpions, so I wouldnt put it past them. Night Lords got their own unique KT using the legionaires box, so I dont see what would stop DW from getting a similar treatment with a Space marine kit, possibly a jumppack interecessor team or refresh the vanguard veterans kit
Why not just upscale the old Mk8 kit to the new Primaris proportions?
No reason they can't throw some 'Primaris versions' of unique/rare DW weapons into a new Mk10 kit... could even release a couple unique DW Kill Teams with one in say a mix of Tacticus + Agressor armour and a second kit in the Reaver/Incursor + jump pack/flying upgrades?! ;-)
@@drunkenastarte5243 those seem like good ideas indeed. Now it makes me wonder what theyll even get when the Agents codex drops. I only mentioned flyer units since the new season seems to be geared towards that
It'd be fun if Tau are purged and forced to work for the Empire something along the lines Guilliman lets them live and become a vasal.
Tau beeing at the center of the narrative is the best thing to happen to 40K, because now that the Imperium is occupied by the nids and chaos, they can take their part of the cake
Orks are already said to be there. Deathwatch too.
More narratives when they aren’t even following up on current narratives???
they need to fix the clunky shapes and colors system, and the awful line of sight system. These constantly slow games down in my gaming group.
I think a new deathwatch kill team coming out in the future would be epic, but I'm not going to get my hopes up.
While i always like new lore and new models, im a bit fed up of all the loose ends they are creating.....they need to get the pariah nexus and the 4th tyrannic wars resolved before starting yet another thread.
Wonder if they'll come out with a new Marine unit for KT. Really not a fan Inceptors but not much else possible other than jump intercessors.
Jump pack scions sound fun
There are no female Custodes
KT lost me completely with S3. Second votan Team, again Chaos, dont know how many aeldari in the meantime. Still no nids, Demons, death guard etc. Thats a shame. Too many factions still waiting for their bespike Team in this Edition.
I'd love to get a Lucifer Blacks models. but i'm probably dreaming
You can always play previous editions. I do and its just as fun. I never feel like im missing out
It's finding people to do that, mate.
