The easiest way to get vanilla sugar is to buy vanilla bean. Hopefully you can use the seeds in something, then place the pod in an airtight jar w sugar. Let it sit for a week or so. Instant (almost) vanilla sugar, which you can add more plain sugar to as you use it up.
