    I have owned FJ45 and a mint 1HZ 80 Series manual. I just bought a 90 series Prado Mint condition with 130K kms. It is going into storage. These things are like bitcoin at $1000.

      nah you're wrong. the engine is midrange in terms of durability. 350k for the 90/95 vs 500k for the 80, just one example. Especially if we're talking about diesel, petrol on these vehicles are a waste of breath, not worth a conversation.
      The landcruiser 60, 70, 80, 80+ series, the non prado versions basically, are all better than the prado series ie 90, 95, 120 etc due to sturdier suspension, more robust engine and more room. Only major drawback is they're harder to operate because they're bigger.
      The 80 series/non parado land cruisers are already it, theyre the classics, no other line of landcruisers, prado wont come close, ever. You don't have to belive me. Sit on your prado yourself at 1000 and hold your breath waiting for itt to appreciate/become a classic. You'll turn purple and die before that happens and I won't be able to say I told you so. These prados are abundant outside the usa and they're not as durable and robust as the non prado series. The 70, 80, 100 and 200 series are where the collector value for Landcruiser will stay and remain.

      @@jmginthent651 yes, they are. read over my comment slowly. I said they're abundant outside of the usa, that obviously includes the ones in good condition. we have alot of them here in south America region where there is no need to salt the roads or less likely to have cradled pistons and other problems due to thermal cycling. And also 350k is the approximate lifespan of the engine given by toyota before any major repair is needed, again, read over what I said. 350k for the prado 90's diesel engine, 500k for the 80's diesel engine, those numbers are official approximate lifespans of those engines before major repairs, numbers given by toyota themsleves.
      also stop trying to strawman my point because you can't find any flaw in it, there is no such thing as mint, I never said mint. And even if mint existed they're likely to be found in places where the model itself is abundant, it's just basic statistics and common sense lol. My father owned a 1995 prado, 7 seater, him, mum and the 5 of their kids, me included, that was back in 2001, he sold it in 2015 for a 100 series.
      I also got a 90 series prado which I still have, 1997 model, had 4 owners, I am the 5th. It actually had 120k on the od, I've since added 90k on it since I bought it in 2020 and moved to a rural area where work alone is a 4hr drive both ways, and I off road with it on weekends. It can take a beating and do serious off roading only when properly modded (mine is air twin locked), not some garage queen action figure. But even then, it's not going to be a cult classic, not for a second and does not hold a candle to any of the non prado series bone stock, ie the 60, 80, 70, 100 and 200.
      I know 3 other boomers (old people) by name who have the same model vehicle as me and one of them bought theirs new when they were in their 30s! I see the 90/95 models on the road enough to run out of fingers to count them on, not every day but at least once. All of them in good enough condition, not mint but I'm sure mints exist in a garage somewhere, just not yours.

      Thank you for your question, we do not, however I just did a quick search and saw that there are several aftermarket kits available. Not sure how reliable they would be but most have great reviews. Most of our imports generally do not come with cruise control, I also find it a bit annoying when I'm on the hwy and don't have it!

    How tough is it to get a left hand drive in the US?

    • @roamoverlandoutfitters5576
      @roamoverlandoutfitters5576  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Carter, it is pretty difficult to get a LHD Prado, we import from Japan direct and some of the vehicles are available with LHD but very few.

    • @on1ytheb3st
      @on1ytheb3st ปีที่แล้ว

      @@roamoverlandoutfitters5576 I figured as much. I might be looking into importing from some european country but to certify a clean condition one would be more difficult I imagine.
      It looks like there are some companies in Japan with conversion kits; do you have any personal experience with such a process and is it potentially unsafe when considering swapping airbag equipped RHD to LHD vehicles?

    • @tuna_6548
      @tuna_6548 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The 3rd gen 4runner is absolutely identical underneath so doing a left hand swap with 4runner bits could be possible.
