Oh wow! It’s coming together beautifully. I’m excited to see the next video. It’s like waiting for my favorite TV episode to come on following a cliff hanger lol!!! ❤
I am so excited to see this journal's progress. Shariqa did such an amazing job choosing beautiful papers for you and they are coming together so perfectly! How lucky are we that Luise experiments with things to the point where we gain such great tips for trying new techniques? So happy you saved those beautiful ladies in their fancy chapeaux!
💜💜💜 if anyone can pull this off, it is YOU! Kind of a strange menagerie of papers and ephemera for one single journal. Just seeing you put the signatures together, YOU GOT THIS, GIRL!!!
Hey Barbara I just wanted to touch base with you and let you know that I can tell you love paper as much as I did and I love the old, I loved it feel it, smell it, touch it. Paper is awesome you are so lucky to be working in an vintage old Journal.💜💜💜
What a gorgeous set of pages you have received and put together Barbara. So much "junk journal real estate" to work with. I can’t wait to see what sorts of ephemera pieces you make and how you decorate the journal. Thank you for sharing your ideas with us. Have a beautiful day, Barbara 🇦🇺
So delicate and beautiful. I love how you put the signatures together. They will each have a special treasure, especially as you place the ephemera. That should be another lovely video! 🤗❤️ Tamara
I’m so excited to see you decorate these lovely pages. Love the meddle page with the ladies and the cut outs if the ladies with their beautiful hats. TFS Barbara! ❤
This is gorgeous! I can only imagine having papers like this to play with so I am really enjoying watching this book come to life. I look forward to this every year & hope that you do this one each year. I believe I have watched them all. So far, I "think" this is my favorite. Although it was fun watching you try to come up with all of those tags, lol!
So tolle Papiere 🥰…
These papers are so beautiful. You did a fantastic job of showcasing them. Thank you for reminding me to emboss full journal pages. You are always inspiring
I have learned so much from this video. My signatures are never like I’d like them to be. Now you have clearly demonstrated how to make them work. Can’t wait for your next installment! Have a great week!
I am enjoying watching and listening to your thought process in these videos as you work out how to unite the items you were sent. Thankyou for your creativity 🙂
Going splendidly.....getting the signatures in the order you originally started with can be tricky and usually won't turn out, but that's junk journaling...Right?🙂........😻
I really love the cover/closure! I may have to borrow the idea sometime 😍. Such lovely ephemera and yes they sound yummy lol. Oh I like to use the tape quite often and you can rub mica on it. Thank you, it's always good to see the process, very helpful. Tfs and have a great day 💖💖💖
This is a blast! We're doing pretty much exactly the same thing how many continents apart? I finished up some sewing just before watching this vid and will, thanks to you, absolutely do some embossing next! Lookin' good, baby girl! Love and hugs, MomK ♥️🤗🙄🤗♥️
Enjoying this series! Have you thought about a challenge to make a book from modern papers and ephemera? I could use inspiration on how to make modern papers look interesting.
Wow, the signatures turned out amazing.. Absolutely love it. It looked so difficult at first on how to use the vintage papers and turn them into signatures. I still be looking and wondering on how to use them. But you just have that gift and talent on how to make it look special and interesting. Sorry, I used the word (how ) way to many times🤣😂
I love how the embossing looks. You mentioned buttons.....they can be made by layering punched out circles or other shapes and using a pokey tool to make the holes.
Hello Barbara, love watching you create your signatures for this pretty journal. I am forever changing and arranging pages in my signatures until it says enough already.
I love the feeling of the paper after I’ve coffee dyed it. If I have a flimsy piece of paper, the coffee always makes it feel more sturdy. And the sound is so fun too. This Journal is going to be amazing. You have so many things to build your ephemera from. I’d have such a hard time falling to sleep. My mind would be racing. Lol. So how about we meet up on Sunday for a “snack”? I’ll be here. Hope you’ll come. Lol
You did a great job putting those signatures together to get a pleasing result. I am watching this with much interest as I would find it very difficult to use just the pieces allowed and no extra digital s and ephemera. Hugs from down under.
This is so inspiring. I have some vintage ephemera and a beautiful book cover and I have been kind of paralyzed with how to use it! This series helps me so much!!
I'm in love with this GOURGEOUS journal of yours (Well, what's new about that?! Lol... 😉) But this time, I'm also a HUGE fan of Shariqa & her husband unique pieces. I'm, literally, stalking them on IG 24/7... 🥰 Haha... I wish I could have it a-l-l!!! Their style is right up my alley! So romantic & ole' times chic... ❤ I'm in L-O-V-E!!! I wanted to subscribe to one of their boxes (Since I can't afford myself anything else, at the moment...) But, sadly, all of them are out of stock... 💔💔💔 There's a notification, saying to check again on March, 1st... 🤗 #ImCountingTheDays
Wow I am so impressed with how you put your signatures together. At first I was wondering how on Earth you were going to get enough pages. I am learning so much from you Barbara. Thank you from me in Aotearoa New Zealand. Xxx
Barbara, I’m just wondering, do you think you’d like the cover better if you added some of your inks to it like sky blue or fluorescent orange? It may help to add more things you enjoy. Or was there a rule to not alter it? I may have missed that part.
I have a vague memory of you mentioning in a video long long ago that you wouldn't use double-sided tape because the adhesive eventually bleeds through paper, leaving dark stripes. I might be thinking of someone else.
Oh wow! It’s coming together beautifully. I’m excited to see the next video. It’s like waiting for my favorite TV episode to come on following a cliff hanger lol!!! ❤
Aaaaw ❤️

I could keep replaying you showing the pages just to listen to the crinkling of the paper. 🥰

Love how you compiled the pages. I never put so much thought into mine, which is probably why mine don’t turn out so well 😂
I love that you have difficulty counting the pages and separating into the planned signatures! I thought it was just ME!!!!!
Haha nope!
These papers are so beautiful. You did a fantastic job of showcasing them. Thank you for reminding me to emboss full journal pages. You are always inspiring
I'm excited to see more of this vintage journal. TFS 🤗
So interesting to see how a theme is developing with the vintage papers and the choices you are making.

I loved watching your process. The embossing looks great! Loved the page you glued to another since it ripped a bit. ❤
i am enjoying this series big time, looking forward to the next installment.
Love all these different papers….❤
This is going to turn out great,. Love it so far
Watching you work is so satisfying….
I love how the embossing looks. You mentioned buttons.....they can be made by layering punched out circles or other shapes and using a pokey tool to make the holes.
Thanks! Another viewer reminded me of that as well! I will be doing that! 😃❤️
I've been following the making of this journal, beginning with the unpacking of the papers. Looking forward to how you will embellish this journal!
I think using the illustration in newspaper of the woman from FRONT & BACK would be great for FRONT & BACK of a tag!

I love the signatures you’ve put together ❤
I enjoy your videos so much. I'm relaxed and inspired.
So inspiring. Love the embossing.

So fascinating! On those very thick cards, maybe you can pull them apart...

Thanks! I’m so happy this is helpful! ❤️
That magazine/newspaper was tearing so delicately, it was almost scary to look at, good thing these papers are in the hands of a professional!
👍❤
❤❤❤. Hugs 🤗 blessings lovely from Colleen
❤️
I was worried you were not going to have enough paper for signatures! You sure did a great job of getting 5 of them! ❤
I was worried about that too!
Me toooo 😂
Such a beautiful jurnal ❤ Did you ever try to hand stitch on vintage papers like this? For those of us who have no sewing machine 😊
Thanks! I would not hand stitch on vintage papers since most of them are quite brittle…
Just love it all so interesting. This is so helpful
It's looking good! So exciting seeing it develop. So you're going to add the ephemera before you bind it?
Thanks! Part 4 is online already. You can check for yourself ☺️
Can you copy some of the pertty images, resize and color for focal points?
I’m embracing the challenge of only using what I received 😊

I like it! J’adore the old book, have you read the pages? La mode illustrée est fantastique
Thanks! Oui, c‘est fantasique! 😃❤️
Such beautiful pages. I’m enjoying watching each step of the process.
