Hummingbird Turf War San Diego

We awoke this morning (Saturday, September 7, 2024) to either a turf war or a recreation of Star Wars as portrayed by hummingbirds. We have never had more than two at one time in all the years we have had this feeder, so having four hummingbirds battling it out was a surprise. In addition, our resident squirrel is freaking out over the local stray cat lying in wait, hiding under a car. It all added up to Mother Nature putting on an impressive - if a bit noisy - Saturday morning.
